Run! So I’m not a picky person but this place is the worst place I have ever eaten. I just had a «chicken sandwich» that was 6.99. The breast was tough dry and the size of a sand dollar. I would rather eat gas station sushi than come back to the epitome of Hell cuisine. Also remember that scene form Jurassic Park where the girl is sifting through Dino droppings? That is what it felt like to search for something edible as this place.

Over priced food, but it’s very convenient and great view of the lake.

I’d already spent a mega ton of money on this place, so I wanted a sort of budget meal to carry me over. I really wanted sea food, but they don’t seem to think that’s appropriate for an aquarium. I passed on the pizza, looked bland and bready. I passed on the Mexican food. I live in Texas. So I did the old standby, burger and fries. The burger was on a stale bun and the meat didn’t taste like real meat; more like it was full of fillers. The tater tots were soft and only luke warm. For this I paid $ 12.13. I will never eat here again.

This is just a place to stop for coffee(they use Starbucks) and some simple sandwiches, pretzels, smoothies and such. It will quiet hunger pangs but it is not a restaurant. If you are looking for a real meal this is not the place to come, but if you want a quick nosh it is ok. Clean, and friendly staff. 10% discount with a City Pass.

I would NOT eat here again. It is not well organized and the food is BLAH. I should have trusted the reviews, but I figured it can’t be that bad. Plus it was crowded at the other food places in the aquarium. NOT good at all!

Ya… we’re gonna NOT go n grab a bite here again… The good stuff — Customer service was friendly enough, it was fairly clean and when there’s not a school field trip taking up a large portion of the seating area it’s pretty big and relatively quiet. Why we’re probably not gonna go back — Food SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! You can’t call something a «Ceasar Salad» if — 1– it doesn’t have Ceasar Dressing on it 2– you don’t HAVE Ceasar Dressing available Besides that, the leafy greens were more like old wilted mushy greens, and it tasted burnt? How the heck does SALAD taste burnt?! Maybe it was the grated cheese? perhaps the croutons??? no… not the croutons, those tasted stale. I also got a cold calzone, everything in it was mush including the dough which had congealed with the sauce, cheese and the mushroom and basil filling. How to describe this mess… hmmm… flavored mush save for the mushrooms which lent some texture to the gruley insides. If it was just that I could’ve given the benefit of the doubt and maybe extended the two star olive branch. But, My sweethearts pizza was also cold and the munchkins hotdog was just about as rubbery as it could be! Ugh, I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the bitemark left! The casing of the hotdog didn’t break… it just kinda squeezed the meaty center out Go-Gurt style The fountain drinks were good though… and oooh! FREEREFILLS!

Where to begin… well when looking online this looked like a cute place to eat I was wrong it’s over crowded and ridiculously expensive! I had pizza it was just cold very cold. My wonderful hubby has a cold cold calazone and a Caesar salad with out Caesar cuz they didn’t have it and it tasted burnt… how the hell does that happe?! And my daughter my poor starving daughter had an overly rubbery hot dog and cold cold fries all that shit food came to about $ 25 I feel like I the actual money would have tasted better… Be wise try a different«restaurant» here. I didn’t even want to give them 1 star

Sadly this food court is in need of a major update in menu items, quality, and customer service. We came here hungry after watching the amazing One World aquatic show in the adjacent amphitheater and craved some seafood after staring at fish the entire morning. This cafeteria mostly serves overpriced hot dogs, hamburgers, burritos, and pizza, none of which are extremely healthy or sustainable. For an aquarium that just spent an hour brainwashing its audience on sustainable eating/living(telling us to buy local ingredients, consider planting/harvesting our own food, etc.), it was extremely disappointing to see that the cafeteria did not live by the aquarium’s own motto at all. Whatever happened to aquarium-raised fish? Although there are a few kids items on the menu that claim to be «healthy», there is blatant discrimination stating that adults are not permitted to order these items. The aquarium seems to value extracting the most dollars per order from adults than giving them the choice to eat from a healthier kids menu. There was only one seafood item on the menu — Fish Tacos, which claimed to be fish that was«farmed and fished in sustainable methods». When I ordered it the cook seemed extremely annoyed and told me it would take close to 10 minutes to prepare. She grabbed a frozen filet from a freezer and tossed it into a bucket of boiling frying oil. It was extremely disgusting to watch and the portion that came out was extremely small. Although we had a great experience overall at the Shedd, lunch was definitely not a highlight.

Just wanted to say that I was extremely disappointed in the Bubble Net zest Food Court at the Shedd Aquarium. I am a vegetarian and gluten intolerant. On the day of my visit, July 23rd, I was not in the mood for a salad or gluten free pizza. There needs to be MORE options for visitors tot the aquarium. Mexican food is good, pasta is good-just needs to be gluten free!

While visiting the Shedd Aquarium, my friend and I felt our stomachs rumbling. With the rain coming down pretty hard outside, heading out of the aquarium for lunch was out of the question. He planned ahead and packed a lunch; me, well not so much. So I wandered over to the café to grab something for lunch. Unfortunately, the more formal sit-down restaurant was closed, so I was left eating in the cafeteria. The menu featured the usual suspects when it comes to food court fare – pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs. I was tempted to indulge my trashy appetite for fried chicken and order chicken strips, but the long line(thankfully) forced me to choose an alternative. I wound up ordering mac and cheese, and a cup of soup – butternut squash. Both tasted like something I’d get from the grocery store and nuke in a microwave – probably to better results. The mac and cheese was gloopy, with neon orange cheese that wasn’t very flavorful. The butternut squash soup was heavy and didn’t have much flavor either. I wound up nibbling on both, then tossing them away. Bummer too, considering lunch here didn’t come cheap. If you’re in a pinch, I guess the cafeteria will do, but next time, I’ll brave the weather outside for lunch instead.
