Not a bad place to eat, I had the fried chicken. I only noticed the zapiekanka sandwich on the menu after I already ordered, I definitely want to try it next time, I wonder if it’s as good as the ones I had in Poland.

I am a gyro freak and love trying new places. Found this place today. Clean enough for a grease joint(good thing!!) order food — fast turn around, which is good when you are very hungry! food– Fry are GREAT. They have that super crunchy outside, super soft inside! ***** Gyro — was ok. they do grill it after being cut so that is a huge plus. wasnt alot of taste to it. had a good taste, just not alot. Now i will be the first to say, i eay all gyros plain when i try a place fir the first time, it really lets you know how good its going to be. The pita was flaky and dry, but had a little taste to it. Fountain pop — not as good as mcdonalds, but whos the fuck is? good tasting pop. 3 stars is good. id do 3.5 but cannot. I bet they have so bomb ass chicken! May be my next adventure! until next time

This is another neighborhood greasy spoon, on the northwest corner of Menard and Irving Park, which we haven’t yet to try, so hubby and I worked it into our rotation for dinner takeout since cooking at home wasn’t really on our agenda this evening. Bub’s Place and«Krispy Chicken» are essentially the same place. The menu on «Bub’s» side is consisted of the typical Chicago-style fast food, while the«Krispy Chicken» side offers fried chicken and catfish. Honestly, the food we had tonight exceeded my expectation. The fried chicken was quite delicious, and the fries were crispy and given with a super generous portion. Although hubby’s Gyro dinner was missing the Tzatziki sauce, he didn’t mind at all and was really full upon completion. His dinner came with the side fries and side salad with a choice of dressing. We spent close to $ 16 for the 2-piece mixed meat chicken dinner and the gyro dinner. We will definitely go back for takeout. For those who don’t live nearby, customer parking and causal dining space are available.

We have ordered from this place a few time but this last time just ended our business with this restaurant. Yes our order arrived on time but the quality of the food was awful. We got an order of the 4 piece fried chicken dinner and the only good item were the fries. Chicken tasted like it was old tough and dry, cold slaw was way too cream. And the Greek salad with grilled chicken way to many olives … it didn’t have black olives instead it had green olives and the entire salad tasted like them even after I took them out. Not sure if this place is under new management or what but it is not worth ordering from here.

First time ordering here and my order isn’t here which makes it 20 min late if I order anywhere I expect to get my food the time that it shows. 30 minutes late now still haven’t got my food on a Sunday when there is no traffic. I want to say this is the bubs fault it’s eat 24 fault because they need really consider who they give a job to because I never got my food and I called bubs and politely told them I didn’t want my food.

Well, they no longer have the old flavors for the wings but they still have wings so I’m happy. The flavors now on GrubHub says BBQ, Hot, or Buffalo. When we walked in there, the lady was also willing to make the Krispy Krunchy still. I used to order these from Krispy Krunchy’s GrubHub but now it’s only on Bub’s GrubHub. Annoying that I need to go to both to order from the same place but whatever.

Been here twice. Had chicken both times. Best chicken I have ever had! Takes a little while to cook but with it if you have the time. Try one of the honey biscuits. My kids and I destroyed 4. Very tasty.

The BEST corn dogs in town! Bubs has been around for a while, so it’s understandable that they switch things up. However, adding a Krispy Krunchy Chicken, wasn’t the best move. Still the milkshakes and the overall food and service will keep me coming back.

I miss when it was just Bub’s. It’s Krispy Krunchy Chicken now. The chicken was really good though. And their fries are amazing too. The gentlemen who took our order was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I have to say, turn up your heat please! I was freezing and had to eat with my jacket on. Other than that, good place to eat.

The food was so-so. The hot dogs and fries were great but the chocolate milkshake I ordered tasted dirty, if that makes sense. I ended up throwing it away. The cheese sticks had an odd taste to them also.

Worst delivery ever. Not only was the food 30 minutes late, but it arrived completely soggy. When ordering«Krunchy Chicken» I expect it to be at least a little crunchy. The bag was so steamed up that even the napkins were soaked. Not ordering from here ever again.

The food is horrible. The lady that works there is nice though. I’ve been here a few times and every time I do I regret it. For the quality of food they have the prices are too high. The food is definitely one star. I have two because at least the employees are nice.

My boyfriend and I really like this place. There’s a lot of parking for a small place and the food is reasonably priced and they have a big variety. They have a lot of seating inside too and its always really clean. We’ve had gyros, wings, burgers, cheese fries and its all been really good. Definitely recommend this place!

I ordered today from Krispy Krunchy Chicken via GrubHub. I placed my order at 8:37p and received my food at 8:47p. I don’t care what you say, a 10 minute delivery time is phenomenal! I’ve ordered from places closer than this that deliver much more slowly. That being said, my biscuits and chicken were lukewarm when they arrived. The heat of the chicken didn’t really bother me because I have a natural aversion to piping hot foods, but it does let me know that this is not made fresh to order. I’m fine with this since it is remarkably cheap, but for all of the people with high expectations for preparation this might not be for you.(Just think of this as another fast food chicken chain). Flavor wise the chicken was decent. I ordered two fried breasts. I enjoyed the seasoning, however it was not juicy and there seemed to be a little bit more bone and breading than meat. The frying wasn’t done the way I personally prefer it, but I can understand the appeal. Some people prefer more of a dry, crispy fry. If that’s what you like this would be excellent! A couple sections of meat on my chicken were way too tough for my liking though. In it’s entirety I’d say the chicken is just okay, but for the pricing and the delivery time I’d say you should give this place a shot(if you’re ordering delivery or pickup). The biscuits should GUARANTEE your visit. If you come for nothing else come for the biscuits. They’re a bit small but pack a great flavor. It’s like they gave a pancake a biscuit texture. It’s all kinds of right.

I live two blocks away, so this is very convenient. I used to eat here when it was just Bub’s, and was under different management. I started going here again this month because I saw that it was now a Krispy Krunchy Chicken as well. I had never heard of KKC, but it sort of sounded like Popeyes. I have had the Cajun 3pc fish combo twice. They said it was catfish, and I guess I will have to take their word for it, the menu I have does not say the fish type. The first time it was really good. The female cook gave me about 7 pieces of smaller sized fish, and I liked that. The biscuit was good and so sweet. The fries were crispy. The soda fresh. They asked me what kind of sauce I wanted. The second time I had the same meal, it was 3 long pieces of fish prepared by a male cook. I liked how the lady served it better. Everything was good, but I was not offered sauce, and had to ask. Stay away from the Jambalaya. Salty. Gummy. Nasty. Unidentifiable meat. On the Bub’s side of things, I had two Italian beef meals on different days. Once again, the beefs are not consistent at another establishment. Day 1 the beef was killer good, Italian herbs all over the place. Day 2, what a letdown. The beef had not an herb to be found. Nothing! It was basically boiled gray meat. I could not believe it. Warning! Do you like living? If so, do NOT order the supposedly Vienna beef polish. Nasty is thy name. I’m not even joking, that thing was not meat, well, I guess someone’s head could qualify as meat in some circles. I don’t hang out with cannibals, though. I’m not sure even THEY would eat the polish sausage Bub’s serves. Please remove it from the menu.

I proudly admit that I eat at least one hot dog a week. And I’m glad Bubs is around to service this addiction. They use Vienna beef dogs and their dogs are very well constructed. The pickle is subtlety placed and the ingredients fresh. They are my go to hot dog spot for the neighborhood. They also have Chicago staples of gyros and tamales which need to go into my stomach soon.

For some reason I thought this was owned by Greeks… maybe I thought of hubs cause of the signage. However… the polish owner was very friendly and had the tired look of someone who worked hard… I saw th is because my dad had the same look those years he owned his own place. I did like the proud flags og polans flying outside… people should be proud of their roots. Sigh…again I digress. His staff was energetic… telling me about some of the foods they had and how they made th eir own BBQ sauce. Food was good and quick and filling, parkin space was ample and it had that pleasant smell of a small busniess ma and pa place that I miss so much nowadays… When in the area… I want to come back and try the Paceswzeski or whatever it was… sorry to butcher then name… I do not poemi po polsku. :(
