Carson Pirie Scott

I never really go to this Carson’s anymore because the area can get a little sketchy but I was pressed for time today and decided to stop in. They were well stocked but the line to pay took for-​ev-​er.

There’s usually a good sale, plus a coupon. At times this store is disorganized and busy.

I was in the neighborhood and I decided to come here to reminiscence about the old days when me and my late brother would come here during high school. I’m talking about the days when Tommy Hilfiger carpenter jeans were HOT merchandise. Carsons was the spot to get clothes after picking up a pair of Jordan’s at Champs or Foot Locker.
I am giving it 5 stars for reasons that other people would only give it 1 star. No one bothers you or attends to you. You can just shop and be left alone. I was browsing colognes and must have smelled every single one. They have all of the colognes out. The Macy’s on State Street has nothing out and people swarm you and try to sell you stuff.
Carsons just probably leaves everything out to avoid hiring people. If you’re shopping for a cologne, you can come here. You can then purchase it online for less money if you are not concerned with fakes or you can buy it here and support this place before it files for bankruptcy.

Visiting the mall on 9÷1÷2014 to get shoes in the woman’s shoe department with my mother I was up-​hauled to find out that after waiting over 30 minutes to check her sizes that the employee which was Hispanic kept attending to her nationality and ignored my mothers request to find her shoe size. Finally after watching the employee tend to new customers and just ignoring my mother a white Polish lady that is 62 years old and has been going to Ford City since the 80s not to mention spends a lot of money on a monthly basis at carson’s to be treated in an ignorant manner by your employee that discriminated against any client other than one of her heritage is a disgrace to your store. After waiting and my mother once again approached and asked her where are the sizes that she requested over 30 minutes ago and for the audacity for her to tell my mother she is with her customers is rude, condensing and down right racists.
So a word to the store the Hispanic Employee female working in the women’s shoe department on Monday Sept 1^st and refused to help a loyal customer around 2:30pm should be reprimanded to not select her clientele based on her discretion. Money is green and obviously will will no longer be spending it at Carson Pirie Scott located in Ford City Mall

I don’t mind coming to Ford City, but just for Carson’s. This location, I know well as it is not far from me. I only come for this store and nothing else. Usually, if you are nice to the cashiers they will give you a 20% discount if that is the sale going on that week. I always forget my coupons so they already know me so of course they are more then happy to do this. I can appreciate this and this is one of the reasons I don’t mind coming back. If you like sales, definitely go to the clearance section since they have a wide variety of clearance including name brands. Don’t be afraid to dig in the racks as the best are always hidden.
This location, like many others also has a furniture section below. You think that it would be super expensive, but you will be shocked at some of the inexpensive offers they truly have.
Also, if you need an increase in credit card (for those who have a Carson’s card), go to the West of the building, pick up their courtesy phone and call it in. They will give you instant credit increase within minutes. I myself did this a while back and BAMMMM. BUt of course the interest are not low so you better think about it first.

I came here on Monday the 22^nd with my boyfriend’s mom and was highly disappointed. The customer service here sucks balls. We walked in and all the employees had their backs turned to us and the two that did turn around, just kept looking at us as opposed to asking if we actually needed help. We managed to navigate our way through the store, and needed help in the lingerie department, so I had to spend 5 minutes of my time searching from someone. I finally found someone and told her we needed help and she said no one was working in that department. HUH? I asked her who was supposed to help us and she said she didn’t know and continued with what she was doing.
My boyfriend’s mom got a couple of things and on the way out she decided to stop at Lancome, which we spent a minimum of 30 minutes in which the woman was trying to oversell us on stuff we didn’t know and told her we didn’t want.
This place is hopeless and needs new management.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention their clothing sucks!

This place isn’t bad. You will find things to be organized. I usually find the shoe department the busiest. The other areas are pretty much quiet unless it’s the weekend.
I can’t say the staff are the best here.

Okay so I’ve been here 3 times and all times dissapointed, I’d rather go to the one downtown. First time it was in the makeup counter… I needed to buy Cinique concealer, no one was there. I was suprised… I walked around and no make-​up associate was near. I waited 5 minutes… and left. 2^nd time was in the juniors section, found cute sweaters and wanted to try… no one near to direct me to fitting rooms so …I went to cash register and asked lady, she sent me to the next dept to try it on, long walk and she was no help…3^rd time I went was during the holidays… I asked the lady in the gold jewelry counter where the clip-​on earrings where (these were for my grandma since she doesn’t have ears pierced).anyway…her response was «I only deal with fine jewelry», so I just went looking for myself. After I grabbed all my accessories and ready to pay… all registers where full except for the gold jewelry section… I asked if she can ring me up, and again her response was «I only deal with fine jewelry»…it’s not like she was busy… Not Going There Again!!!
