Caspian Oriental Rugs

Being new to Chicago and needing an area rug for our condo we went to Caspian Oriental Rugs. Kamil spent extra time with us in deciding the perfect rug. He offered us great advice and understood our color needs. The price was fair and he allowed us to store our choice at the store until we were finally settled in our new place. We will be returning to Caspian for rugs in the future.

Rug Cleaning Review:
We have a couple of handmade natural fiber rugs in our apartment that were once beautiful. They were hand-​me-​downs from my Father in Law. We have treated them like ikea rugs for years and it shows. Wine stains, coffee, dirt and salt from winter, baby puke, food crumbs. I mean it, we try to keep a clean house but we live in it and entertain lots of adults and kids all the time and our rugs take a serious beating. ;) We finally decided to have our 5×8 living room rug cleaned. $ 160 to clean a rug didn’t exactly blow out our budget but it hurt to hand over our hard earned cash for something I thought I might be able to do myself with a little help from YouTube. HAVING OUR RUG CLEANED BY CASPIAN WAS A GREAT DECISION. This rug looks better than it did the day my Father in Law dropped it off. I mean it, the rug looks fantastic. The colors are bright again, the stains I thought were permanent are completely gone, the tassels are white again. My mind is blown.

The folks here at Caspian are amazing. A few months ago my wife alerted me that our dog had urinated on a very nice (and very expensive) Nain that I’d purchased overseas. (She did so smugly, as she’d warned me that the dog might do that, but I had misplaced my trust in the mutt.) Unfortunately, I was about to go out of town on a business trip and was unable to take care of it right away. As soon as I got back into town several days later, the first thing I did was take it to Caspian, in fear that the bright yellow stain on my beautiful light cream Nain would be a permanent fixture. The rug was ready for pick up a week later as promised, and when Kamil showed me the result, I was amazed! I couldn’t even find the spot… it was completely gone! These guys know their stuff, and if you need your rug cleaned or a spot removed, they can get the job done. I’ve got a Tabriz that I’ll bring them next for cleaning, and who knows… with their awesome selection of rugs, I may walk out with another piece for my collection. Kudos to the Caspian team!

If you want authentic rugs, this is your spot. There are literally 1000’s to choose from. The employees are highly knowledgable, and are willing to wait patiently while you look at rugs. When one catches your eye, they are happy to lay it out at different angles and explain the details of the rug. Remember, authentic rugs look different in different lights and directions. They encourage you to think long and hard about the purchase since, for the most part, you’re going to be spending a lot of money. if you live out of state, no worries, they will ship you the rug.

We purchased a beautiful family-​room rug from Caspian about two months ago. We left town and my dog urinated on the rug, and then the house-​sitter tried cleaning it with a chemical solution. A bad decision. It seemed that the rug would never look the same.
We called Caspian and they arranged to pick it, clean it, then treat it. I still thought we would see the stain, but hoped for the best.
I am very happy to report that it’s as perfect as the day we bought it.
The cleaning and treatment was amazing, but it is the customer service that made all the difference. Very very nice folks there.

I brought two of my hand loomed rugs in for cleaning and they did a beautiful job — the colors are bright again and there was no issue with the colors bleeding because they used the dry clean method. Not only had they not ever been cleaned professionally but I have 2 cats that leave a lot of hair behind and I didn’t see a single hair when I picked them up.
All in all it was a great experience from beginning to end and the price was very fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them again.

I purchased a small (2×3) rug last weekend. They have a nice selection, very helpful, reasonable prices. And they threw in a rug pad. I purchased here a few years ago and am glad I returned. This is where I will buy all future rugs.

I’ve been to Caspian Rugs twice now for cleaning, and both times the service was exceptional. The staff is helpful, the cleaning services are great, and their inventory is a veritable museum of quality rugs. I’ll be back in the future for my cleaning needs, and would also consider a future purchase from their inventory.

I went to here to have my Oriental Rug dry cleaned. They did an amazing job, with the rug coming out looking brand new afterwards. They even got out a candle wax stain. The service was excellent. They were willing to negotiate a fair price, got the rug done ahead of schedule (was quoted a week, but it was done in 4 days), and even followed up with me later to make sure the rug looked good in my home.
Will definitely consider going here again to buy or sell a rug, or if I ever need another one cleaned!

Excellent service and extremely friendly staff. After leaving a cherished family oriental at the store for over a year we were cut a great deal for storage and delivery. You can trust Caspian when getting very cherished and valuable orientals cleaned and repaired. I would absolutely use them again!

great place lazaar really helped us out of a jam, we had a washing machine hose come undone and soak our fancy persian rugs. he had them all cleaned at a lower price than the first place we called by 150.00 bucks. he’s been in the business forever and knew our rug well… an early sarouk. they do appraisals, repairs and cleanings. they will also schedule pick up but because ours were soaked he got em in for treatment right away. great guy great rug shop!
