Dr. Zugarman was willing to prescribe Accutane for my resurgence of acne in my late forties, but urged me to try other treatment options that have been effective. He is well-informed about the many options available. He is also very conscious of helping patients manage the expense of prescriptions. I haven’t found him to be rude at all, and I agree with the reviewer who said he may not be the hip guy Unilocal reviewers are looking for. I don’t go to the dermatologist to for hipness, I go for better skin, and Dr Z has delivered.

This guy was so incredibly rude during the 5 minutes he graced me with his presence during my appointment that I expressed my unhappiness on the comment line of the check I wrote for my co-payment. It was my first appointment and I was so angry when I walked out the door there was no way I would ever use him again. He asked me, in the 5 minutes he spent with me, if I had«ever been pregnant before?» I’ve been to dermatologists on/off for over 10 years and no one ever asked me that. I understand, why under certain circumstances, you are asked if you are currently pregnant but to ask me if I had ever been pregnant before was completely unnecessary because I was only there that day for something very basic. Plus, the topical ointment he prescribed didn’t even work! A huge, huge, huge thumbs down. Don’t waste your time and money. There are better dermatologists out there.
