Terrible, terrible place. DONOTORDERFROMTHEM. I payed $ 29 dollars for a party size pizza, which was not big at all. The pizza came late and was cold. Then the pizza came in a bag, like huh? And the worst thing of all was that she messed up the order. How? I was on the phone with this women for more than 5-minutes. Then I call again about the wrong pizza and she transfers me to someone else, after I called her out on her mistake, then who ever she forwarded me to, transfers me back to her. In all, I had to wait another 30-minutes for another pizza. And the driver was mad disrespectful. He was going to have an 11yr old sign for the pizza. Order from another company. Pizza is not worth the hassle.

I use to go here all the time with my family they had great pizza and mozzarella sticks but I heard too many complaints about this place plus I heard mice be in the kitchen plus roaches crawling in the restaurant that’s probably why everytime I went there was no one in the restaurant

This is my first Unilocal experience, but I felt compelled to because of how poorly the delivery service was handled. I’ve ordered from Congress before and really like their pizza, however I don’t think I’ll be ordering again because of the service. I called at 7:30pm to place a delivery order, when it hadn’t arrived by 8:45 I called to check. They said it was out with the driver and should arrive any minute. I called again at 9:15 to check the correct address & phone number, same answer. When it still hadn’t arrived by 9:55pm I was put on with the manager, after being on hold for 15 minutes, who said the order was lost. He offered to put in a new order that’d be delivered in an hour– fat chance, at that point it’d be 11:30. So, unhappy & starving, that’s my review.

They have great pizza but not happy with the service. I called to place and order for delivery and i gave them a heads up that i wont be there but everything was set. They hanged up on me once. The second time i called they had me on hold for more than 15 mins and when they finally answered they were rude. The only options was to fax them my id and card or be delivered another time. I was ok faxing id but they wanted my card too but I told them ahead of time that my card was at home just in case they needed it. They refused to help after that. They have this policy that the driver has to check for ids for delivery and be physically present but the inconsistency of the drivers is a hit or miss for the clients. They keep changing policies every so often and sometimes its confusing on what they want from the customer. After being a client for more than 15 years its sad cutting ties with an establishment that you grew up with.

Came here before a concert and I have to say it was the worst service I’ve ever encountered. No one sat us or greeted us for about 15 minutes then finally someone gave us waters and told us to be patient. Since when do restaurants tell people to wait on service? We have been waiting for about 30 minutes and no one has taken our order!

This place is great. I ordered the super bowl pizza and ordered three toppings, which were extra cheese, bacon, and sausage, and my order came up to $ 41, which doesn’t seem too bad, considering there are other places that are happy to charge more for less toppings and a bigger size. Didn’t pay a delivery fee, I just tipped the driver. The delivery was fast, I was told to give the driver an hour and twenty minutes but he came a lot faster than that, which is good. The pizza I ordered tasted great and didn’t cut any corners. Whether I get the same size pizza or something smaller, I’ll definitely be considering ordering from this place again!

This is a great place to grab a drink and a slice before a concert. Instead of waiting in line for doors to open at the Concord Music Hall, we decided to hit up happy hour at Congress Pizzeria. The bartender was great and the beer flowed. I highly recommend a couple shots of tequila and 1 – 7 beers. They will surely be cheaper than next door at the venue! See you next time Jesus!

I have 2 things to say about this place. Siciliano Special. If you come here and order a salad, there is something wrong with your decision making abilities. Select the Siciliano Special, and this will be a decision you will never regret. This is what every pizza dreams about what it wants to be when it grows up. De-LISH!!!

This was literally the worst dining experience of my life. There’s a place across the street called Turbo Taco, who have a sign that advertises their first offering as a «Chicken Sandwich». However, in the event that you have to choose between the two, go to CVS. A more detailed description of my visit… Upon sitting down, I noticed the server carrying what appeared to be a full order of mozzarella sticks back to the kitchen. He then put them in the trash, and the table he took them from had no people. Needless to say, they did not send the order back, they simply took a bite and decided to pass. The one member of our group who ordered an actual entrée, got a salad with their entrée. They requested a Caesar, but that was not an option. When asked what dressings were available, the server said, among the others, «Caesar». She got the Caesar, which sent the server into a state of shock, awe, and wonderment on par with someone using one of those Coke spaceship machines for the first time. She said, «I see what you did there, you sly dog… you’re making a Caesar salad.» Admittedly, i embellish a bit. Once we ordered, it took them at least half an hour to build our salads. One might ask, «How is this possible?» Let me tell you. The salad consists of a solid inch of meat topped with a solid inch of American Kraft Singles sliced into neat strips. One side of the plate had an entire onion sliced up, with an entire cucumber as its antagonist. They poured an entire can of diced olives and tomatoes on the other edges. «Where was the lettuce?» you ask. Buried under the Lunchable mountain of meat and cheese. There was so little lettuce, we thought to scavenge it from a nearby, unfinished salad. The dressing almost rectified the situation, however. It was a nice mixture of water and Italian seasoning with a splash of Great Value canola oil. One member of our adventurous crew ordered the tortellini, but they were out. Good thing they had the cheese ravioli. Which turned out to actually be a soup… marinara soup with a pound of sugar and a handful of cheese ravioli lurking somewhere in its miry depths. Let me say that I never have laughed so hard at one dining experience and simultaneously been extremely concerned for my health and well being in my entire life. Do not go here, ever. Please. Thanks.

just intended to stop in for one drink. two hours later we find ourselves chatting with the bartender, trying three amazing tequilas, and a perfectly crusted mushroom and pepperoni pizza. The company and warm hospitality was beyond exceptional… not to mention the price of the cocktails were right(grey goose soda for $ 6). We plan to be back again soon-thank you so much Jesus!

Best thin crusts pizza ever! I always get my pizzas xxthin and well done. Oh man you can’t go wrong with a Chicago classic pizzeria. This place had been open forever and still running, that says alot! Everybody from my family comes from out of town and before they go, at least that stuffed pizza or the thin is a must to have! I’d suggest a pickup, get yours nice and fresh out their ovens. Yum!

Tawdry décor at best, terrible service, but surprisingly good pizza sauce and mozzarella sticks. Also it’s silently awkward. no music and only a handful of people yielded an eerie experience.

Saucy! I’ve had to have had at least a few hundred pies from here and just this week it dawned on me that this has to be my favorite pizza sauce. Not because it’s familiar but because it’s spot on tasty. It runs thicker than most sauces and is well spiced. There must be some secret herbs and spices no doubt. The four stars is a pizza only rating. I’ve had other sides though, mainly rib tips, fettuccine alfredo, and calamari. Nothing to write about but a pie usually needs a side piece in my household. They are solid and plentiful. Tons of people order from here I know cause though I live five minutes driving distance for pickup, a delivery will generally run you a true hour to hour plus for front door service. Half for pickup. The«friendly» bunch in the pickup dungeon aren’t usually pleasant to deal with but I’m in and out anyways with my stadium. I’ve eaten inside once in my thirty years gracing this rock and can say that it’s one of those very dim, unlively Italian joints. With as much foot traffic that they could capitalize on by being next door to a popular music venue and night club they could use an update and better looking restaurant front. Windows perhaps. Maybe they’re not hurting though. Either way solid pizza and even better sauce.

My sister, myself and nephew went to lunch at Congress yesterday… We got there alittle early so we had to stall time and wait around, the second we came in we noticed that they were just opening the lounge area. The guy that greeted us(whom we later found out was the bartender) said welcome and told us we can sit where ever we’d like. So we picked a nice table and started to get situated. He instantly came to check on us as soon as we were seated. He explained that he’ll be assisting us until the waitress came. He got us a few menus, as well as a pitcher of water, poured us a cup and even small talked with us. He seemed a little nervous but we payed it no mind. He left for a good five minutes and since we already knew what we wanted we told him and he said ok, the pizza shouldn’t take any longer then 25 minutes. We weren’t in a rush so we said thats fine. We were looking around and the set up was very nice, elegant and it was a shame that most people ordered to go or delivery… Everything was perfectly placed, it was clean, light music playing, slightly dimmed lights… The entire place was nice! The bartender came back ten minutes after we ordered with a pitcher of soda as well as the order of mozzarella sticks. They were fresh, hot and delicious!!! Alittle after we started the mozzarella sticks he came back with our pizza. He asked if we can move our plates over because he didn’t want to burn us while he put the pizza down, we gladly moved them. When he put the pizza down he asked us if we needed anything and we said no, everything was PERFECT! Then the waitress FINALLY showed up for work and he said once she gets situated she’ll be taking over and we said okay. We had our food, it wasn’t much we needed her for at that point. We started to eat, talk, laugh and observe our very nice surroundings and quickly decided to come back. The bartender came back and asked how everything was and if we wanted a drink and sadly I had to decline seeing as I am currently with-child and he looked shocked like wow, I couldn’t tell, he asked me what the gender was and said congrats to me. He also told me that his daughter was also expecting so i congratulated him as well and he said thank you. He was very bashful, very respectful and had WONDERFULCUSTOMERSERVICE. I asked him if he were the manager and he looked at me like noooo im the bartender and i was honestly SHOCKED!!! That man needs a RAISE and a PROMOTION! By the way he took over you would think he was the manager. I asked him how has business been and he said not so great, could be better and I was outraged. Maybe if more people came inside and actually soaked it all in they would come back. I know me and my family will be back. They were nothing but nice to us. When we were done the waitress boxed us up and gave us the bill. We paid her and decided that we will give the tip to the bartender because to is he deserved it. He helped us from the second we stepped in… When my sister walked up and have him the tip he didn’t even know how to react as I’m sure he didn’t expect one! We briefly said thank you for his services and we exited the restaurant. I dont usually do reviews, but after reading some of the reviews for this place i was honestly confused. Did you go to the same Congress as my family? Also, you get what you put into it, if your friendly maybe they will be friendly back. Give those people a break! Gosh. –Brittani Anita
