Never ever go this place for any business… very rude and poor service.. I had my purse (vintage signature purse) clean and I asked first if he can clean it and enhanced it and he said yes… and it will be finished by Friday… I came Saturday… he never touched my purse then he promise he can finished it d next day… 3 days later.. I came again… still my purse was half way done.. then promise me again to come back d next day… 3 days later… d purse still d same and never finished it.. d bag thing.. I paid in advance thinking that maybe he will do right away!!! Boy…. I was wrong … I’m almost crying for ruining my vintage purse… never ever go to this place!!!! WARNING!!!! 0 star for this place!!!!

I have a tendency to drop a few items off if I need something done same day as its on my way to work. I had three items and informed them I needed them before close. They reassured me if its in by 9am — no problem. When I arrive before close I’m told only two items are done. I go to pay with a $ 20 in my hand (cash only) they said it would be a flat $ 20. Being a casual drop in, I know full well they charge $ 5 per item (dresses being close to $ 10-​$ 15). When I corrected the woman, she played dumb and then only charged me $ 15. Customers beware — they will overcharge uninformed buyers! Make sure they write price on the ticket before you leave store. I probably will not go back again.

Way over-​priced and rude.
Gave an expensive pair of pants and dress for alteration to Yanis, the tailor, and turns out he trashed it but still over-​charged me and refused to correct the repair after I flagged it to him. I’ve been having a series of consistently bad experiences and yet wishing to give Crystal Cleaners a chance. However, this time will have exhausted my good-​will and will not return.

This is the WORST cleaners ever! I had used it because it was literally steps from my condo. However, I was treated so rudely and disrespectfully by the owner. Not to mention they over charged me immensely. I had two summer dresses cleaned for $ 55. Anywhere else I’ve gone it’s been between $ 5 – 10 for each dress (for these same dresses!). On top of that I was promised they would be ready in 3 days. When I came back, they had one dress but not the other. It wasn’t ready for another 3 days. I was more upset with how I was treated than the cost. No apologies for being late, just plain rude and disrespectful. DO NOT GO HERE. If you are looking for cleaners near this, there are several very close by.

Went to this place inquiring about alterations. The man who answered my questions was SO RUDE. They are the most OVER CHARGED alteration place in Chicago, and I will never go back to this place for any service. Avoid this place at all costs.

Absolutely 0 stars. Awful experience, the woman greeted us with food in her mouth that she never seemed to swallow. The price was quoted way too high. Then two days after we dropped off our pants for alterations, we got a call indicating that they could not complete the simple hemming. The woman communicated poorly and now I’m flying out of town with two pairs of pants that are too long.

While the location is ideal and the proprietors are nice as can be, this place is horribly over priced. I brought a few things there each time and thought to myself, «hmm a bit expensive.» Most recently I had a jacket and dress dry cleaned and a pair of jeans hemmed and the total was $ 40!!! (I did ask for an ‘original hem’ but at most I was thinking maybe 10 for the dry cleaning and 20 for the jeans) Mind you, it also took over a week for them to complete. They never provide an itemized bill, and in the past have also lost small pieces. As much as I love to patron my hood I need a new cleaners… suggestons?
