Awesome selection, prices, and service! The store is stocked full of just about everything you’ll need work related. If you pay cash you can skip on the tax. It’ll save you $ 10-​$ 12. I’ll be back in the fall to get ready for that Chicago winter. Parking is located in the back.

I needed some steel toe books for work, and maybe its because I am new to town, but finding steel toe boots here is not easy. I rolled into their store 30min before they closed and they were amazingly helpful. First, they said I should bring my bike inside the store to protect it from getting messed with outside on the street. Their selection is HUGE. I mean they seriously probably had about 80 different models of boots. In fact they had so many, it was a bit daunting on how to select, but they pointed me to some of their better quality boots that were water proof and light. Its probably difficult to find steel toes in Chicago because these guys have them all. They didn’t rush me at all and I had my boots picked out in about 10min. Super comfortable, really happy with the purchase.
While there, I was talking to Matt, who I think was the store owner, and said that they have been in that shop for 17 years and in that area for around 40. Super nice guy. I forgot that I needed some BeesWax and he tossed it in for free. Matt even held the two doors open for me to wheel my bike out. Great customer service.

Working in the trades for a living you come to appreciate quality garments and just how warm or cool they can keep you whilst out in the elements. I found Delaware work wear to have one of the largest selections in stock in the city while offering reasonable prices. They offer everything from steel toe work boots to fire retardant clothing and everything in between. I go there for their broad selection of Carhartt products (without which I couldn’t bear working in chicago’s pleasant winter months. Be advised that this doesn’t mean they’re cheap. You must assume to pay a little more for quality work wear. Lastly the gentlemen whom has helped in several occasions (older fella, whom I believe own’s the establishment) to be both, very helpful and cooperative. If you need work gear, head there for quality service and quality products.
