Very good tacos and tortas, some of the best I’ve had in the Chicago area and we have been to a lot of places. It’s a little out of the way for us, but if you are ever in the area definately give them a try.

The finest carne asada and pastor tacos I’ve tried on my cycling taco tour of Humboldt Park.(Or is it technically Hermosa this far west?) Rice and beans were solid. Horchata was too sweet for my taste. Taqueria Huentitan across the street has(in my opinion) the best horchata in Chicago. But really, we’re here for the tacos anyway, maaan. I’m knocking one star off ‘coz it’s true that they charge you($ 1.50) for the tasty chips and salsas extravaganza. At least warn us before just placin’ em on the table. As Cheech once said, «hey, that’s false advertising, maaan.»

The best place for chilaquiles around. I love that they serve you chips and an assortment of salsas/dipping sauces. Tacos are not the best but overall decent for the price.

Some of the best steak Tacos in the city. Their chicken SUCKS though. But hey, its all about the carne asada. They have really good salsas with the chips. Been coming here since I was a youngling. Fast as hell too. Super-paisas. Lovem

I’ve been a customer here for years. I always loved this place for their convenient hours and extra choices in salsas lol they serve chips with 4 different salsas, sour cream and lemon. Unfortunately lately, the taste in their food has been going downhill. Today is the day I’ve decided to cut them out of my diet. Not only are the waiters getting more and more rude by the visit, their customer service is very poor. I came to eat with my mom, we ordered steak plates.(she hot tacos and I got a torta)… They were disgusting. I’m not harsh with restaurants, given I’m a fast food worker. But today it was pretty gross. The meat did not taste right. It tasted old, greasy and my body couldn’t even process it. My stomach instantly hurt and my body rejected it. We politely told our waiter and she took the food and said she’ll see what she can do. She never came back. When we went to the front, I let them know about the problem before we paid(I would have liked some compensation) and they rudely told us that the meat was fine and they don’t refund unless the food is actually bad and not if we don’t like the food, because if we don’t like the food, that’s not their problem. I got upset and told them how are going to pay for something we didn’t even eat and the lady just kept talking over me. My mom ended up paying because she didn’t want me to argue which upset me even more. That’s ridiculous. Horrible customer service. And now horrible food. Goodbye Taconazo.

All I can say Is daaaaaaammmmmI’m obsessed. I live the Pico de Gallo, even though it’s so hot. I get steak tacos add cheese. you don’t need sour cream. They have a cream based sauce in the table that tastes like it. So save your money. The beef soap is great after a night of drinking by the way. And is pen super late. 3am on weekdays and I think 4am in weekends not sure. any ways go. U won’t regret it. and don’t go too early cuz they make the Pico fresh and you won’t get none cuz it ain’t ready and then your gonna b pissed like I was. But still 5 stars. one minor bad experience out of 100. great odds huh? Happy new year! !!!

This place used to be good but the quality has dropped and the prices have gone up for no reason whatsoever. I stopped going there.

This Taco restaurant is racist towards blacks I walked in behind a black couple and got in line the waitress ignored us both when I approached her in Spanish she stared to take my order. I stated that the other couple was ahead she said it didn’t matter. Insisted on taking my order first and the other couple left the restaurant. Horrible

My peeve with this place is that they charge me for chips when 1 I didn’t order them and 2 you place them on my table without asking me. Not cool just think how many people they serve and don’t check their bill. At most Mexican restaurants chips are complimentary and the places that don’t offer them they’re on the menu for you to order. I just find that shady. Other than that steak tortas, steak burrito, and cactus gorditas are great.

Stopped in this place after seeing a bunch of people inside. The menu on the wall is not the whole thing, so ask for a written menu. Has much more stuff. I ate there. They give you tons of different salsa, all fresh. That also give sour cream which is very good! I got the chicken enchiladas. Solid, chicken was a bit dry, but loved the cheese and green sauce. The rice was super good, not just straight rice, but with small peppers and other stuff in it. Added a lot of flavor. Also got a chorizo taco, which was very yummy. Service was great, food came out really fast. I plan to come back here and get a burrito, duh!

Quite possibly the best refried beans I’ve ever had! I can only vouch for the carne asana, pastor and lamb tacos but they were all delicious. Just the right amount of flavor in each and the Tortillas had a slight crunch to them. The guacamole is also a must-have if you’re looking to get a little crazy.

Let me tell you! I LOVEEEEEEETACONAZO!!! This is by far, the BEST Taqueria there is. I am ALWAYS satisfied! Super fast service. They already know how I like my tacos. When TheBoyfriend & I go to ANY other place, we ALWAYS compare it to Taconazo. They have the BEST the best Asada. Not chewy or fatty. Just flavorful! PLUS all the choices of salsas when dining in! I LOVEITHERE!!!

This was my go to restaurant when I lived in the neighborhood(1997). The service is great and the food is delicious! I love their pico de gallo sauce, I tried asking a waitress for the recipe and she wouldn’t give it to me :(which I understand. I recently passed through my old neighborhood and saw the great improvements they have done to the restaurant. My friends that still go over there to eat say its the best place in Chicago, I don’t know about that since I haven’t eaten at every Mexican spot in the city. Anyway, its a great place, great service, and great food, don’t forget to ask for the pico de gallo to put on your tacos!

Great tacos, the asada was stellar. The pastor was very good make sure to ask for Pineapple if you like it that way. Birria was ok, lomo was ok. A plethora of salsas on the table make it a no brainer for dining in. It doesn’t quite live up to my top ten list, but as far as the North side goes I will be back for sure.

TACOS! This is the place to go for tacos and they have 4 different salsas, sour cream, and limes with chips upon coming in. I have heard they are open until like 6 am. but they do stay open quite late. I have been here many times and I almost always see cops dinning here. This is probably one of the most diverse Mexican restaurants I have seen as well lol. The neighborhood is pretty shady sometimes though. That don’t stop me from going though or families so it is not that bad.
