My wife and I had a fabulous Saturday night here. The owner is helping the staff while serving with his great knowledge about wine. It is fantastic to listen to him and his wine advises are just on the spot. Amazing. My wife did not like to drink red wine but now she does. It’s just a matter of the right wine. And the food is fantastic as well. And it pairs great with the wine. Try the Bruschetta. So awesome.

Three stars for the wind and the exceptionally knowledgeable and accommodating bartender. Zero stars for the food. Artichoke fritters were doughy, yuck. Deviled eggs were sour, completely uninspired. Does the chef taste his own food? Does he really think it’s good? I didn’t. I couldn’t even being myself to order dinner.

Delicious Vegetable Panini-has a lot of my favorite ingredients(hummus, avocado, cashews, cucumbers, roasted yellow tomatoes, goat cheese, olives, greens, and basil) ! I’m so happy I was introduced to this place. Excellent wine selection and wine flights available

This is a great spot to enjoy drinks. The service is good and the wine list is impressive(pricey, though, but worth it). Ambiance is great… it’s beautiful inside. Haven’t tried any food here but everything looks great. Overall this is a great place.

Went here for wine with my mom during pre-dinner rush. We sat at the bar and despite a hiccup with our order, the staff was friendly and funny .

My friend and I made a reservation here for 7. We got there a few minutes early and told us our table wasn’t ready. We could wait by the bar, but the place is so tiny that we decided to wait outside and catchup. 20 minutes go by and another party gets seated. We ask again and they tell us its still not ready. Finally at 7:45 we’re seated. That completely ruined the meal for us. They didn’t really apologize or anything either. The food and wine were fine from what I remember, nothing special. The place is tiny, loud, and busy. What’s the point of reservations if you’re not going to keep to them?

A girl friend and I were looking for somewhere to have dinner on a Friday night. Here was our checklist: — Somewhere we won’t be rushed in and out(and can sit with wine and enjoy!) — A place with a good menu for sharing dishes — Wine wine wine wine wine wine — A place neither of us had yet been! ENTER: ENOLOWINECAFE The spot is small but beautiful(tell me you aren’t already drooling over the photos of their adorable and fancy ass ceiling and differently styled bar area, m i rite?). We started out with a couple of wine flights, which we think worked out to be about the price of a glass and a bit more wine than just a glass would offer. My friend went with the Bold & Beautiful and I had the Juicy. We both loved 2 of our 3, and hated 1 in each of ours. I asked if I could swap that out for one I did like and our waiter was kind enough to do so. We loved that many varieties were available and overall enjoyed the flights! FOOD! We really loved everything we had! We went with 2 pieces of bruschetta which were HUGE and very conveniently cut into 4 pieces for us to share. We had the brie and apple, which was awesomely sweet and tart all at once, and the prosciutto and mascarpone with fig. Wished this had more fig as I didn’t get the fig flavour in each bite, and so it was a little bland actually overall. The empanadas were the star of the night. Our waiter said they were filled with pork belly and smoked provolone. They were OUTSTANDING. Warm and flavorful filling, doughy around the filling, and then flaky on the outside. Amazing! We loved the chimichurri(so much so that we actually fought over who got more! haha!) and the chile de arbol(I think?) sauces on the plate. We rounded out our meal sharing the spaghettoni bolognese. This was tasty and a great portion for the two of us. Again the staff was kind enough to split the dish for us! Wish I had been offered some fresh grated parmesan on top — would have been a nice touch(and everyone knows I want fresh grated parm on nearly everything). So why not 5 stars: At first there was no music playing and the ambiance was awkward as we were overhearing our neighbors conversation and vice versa. Would have liked to see a slightly larger menu, or maybe more variety. With only a few pastas to pick from, and the other entrees being all sandwiches, pizza, or 1 other option(fried chicken), the menu left more to be desired. But that said, we had a lovely meal and evening here, and I’d highly recommend it for a girls night out, an intimate date night spot, or a cozy and classy night out with friends/family! Cin cin!

Glad this place is in our neighborhood, they had some great wines, great people watching out the front, and a friendly atmosphere and service. We came here on a Friday evening and it wasn’t too crowded, was perfect for good conversation and place to spend the night! Came here a second time to try the food, think we’ll stick to the wine next time. The pizza crust was pretty soft. I asked if they could crisp it up for just a couple minutes more and they happily took the pizza away, but then forgot about it and had to make an entirely new one. By the time it came, the rest of my party had finished their dinner, and the second pizza wasn’t crispy either.

I came here with a work friend for a glass of wine a couple weeks back and it was great. They were super busy but made room for us at the counter near the back. The service was quick and professional and the server was happy to lend suggestions based on our different pallets. I will definitely be back when I have more time and hopefully can get a reservation in advance!

They serve wine flights. Need I say more? Alright, I’ll go on with some more detail. It’s crowded and loud(perhaps to be expected on a Friday night), but the price points are great and the apps are the perfect wine pairing(try the bruschetta). If you’re looking to sit at a table I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. Luckily I found two seats at the bar. The service was great(bartender was attentive but not overly so) but you’re pretty much shoulder-to-shoulder up there, so get comfortable with your neighbor. I’d definitely return to wind down after work or make a date on a Saturday night.

Nothing better than sipping on red wines after a busy week. The beauty of working downtown has to be the abundance of nightlife, and I had the pleasure randomly walking around and selecting Enolo Wine Café this evening. The first reaction was… this is a wine café. What are the chances of walking into one of these and not just a regular bar. My immediate first impressions was that this was a very interesting concept. Menu comprising of 50% wines + 20% other stuff and 20% food. It must have been a well-thought out selection, given that the menu was 1 page, double-sided. My buddy and I both decided to sample a glass of the reds; he selected the least dry whereas I selected the most dry. Nothing too crazy tonight, but by our choices, opposites do flock together. If I think about this place in retrospect, I wished I had chosen the flight; believe there was something called sweet and juicy. While we waited for our wine, we were able to have both a conversation and the experience of being in a grape juice café. The interior features both a open bar and semi-open kitchen. Center seating with table is made available; perfect for smaller parties. The crowd inside was not too lively and pretty quiet for a Friday evening. To give an service evaluation, the waiter was no sommelier, but he graciously assisted in the wine selection and gave us the service one would expect at a café. It was relaxing stay and we were able to have a conversation without feeling rushed or interrupted. Overall, this place is a four when rating similar cafes. This place offers a good selection of wine and the food smelled so good that I wished that I had skipped dinner. I would recommend coming back here again for one-on-one meetings or smaller parties. Oh, and they serve truffle fries.

We went here with a work friend and his girlfriend. We arrived a little early, while happy hour was still going. This turned out to be a good thing; we had 15 minutes to order flights of wine, beer and food from the happy hour menu. The happy hour menu is reasonably priced. The regular menu is not. This is one of those trendy restaurants with small plates and tiny little entrees that are crazy expensive. For example, $ 16.00 burger. But if you order off the happy hour menu, which is the only time I’m going back, it’s a pretty good deal. My four star rating is for happy hour only. The food was surprisingly good for this kind of place. The tiny margherita pizza was good. The fried goat cheese was excellent, including the pickled onions. My work friend ordered the olive plate and said it was good. Service was also good. The wine was good too. I had a white wine flight that I enjoyed. We, ll be back for happy hour.

We visited enolo for a friends birthday dinner. The service was great, servers were attentive and accommodating to our large party(our waitress split the check for us!). The sausage pizza was very yummy but I think there were chili peppers on it that may be spicy for some. My favorite part of the meal was the Truffle Fries! If I ever visit Chicago again, stopping for fries will be a definite stop on the list. They have a large selection of wine and they have numerous options for flights. I ordered the BUBBLY flight. It was delicious. If you want to go out with the girls, or friends in general, this is a great place to go. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family

I’ve been to Enolo twice now and both times were great experiences. Most recently I went for lunch with my friend, where we ordered a variety of dishes: bruscetta, a pizza, and truffle fries as well as a couple glasses of wine. The food was very tasty, and we especially enjoyed the bruscetta. They have a few options and you order them individually which I like. They’re larger pieces and quite filling, not your typical run of mill tiny breads. We ordered the Italian pizza but weren’t brought that– we were given some iteration of a margherita pizza. The server was quick to bring out prosciutto which was the missing ingredient, and it was quite good nonetheless. The truffle fries were amazing, with a side of aioli that we just couldn’t get enough of. The server had some great recommendations for wine which I thought was helpful. The wine seemed a bit on the pricier side though and that deterred us from ordering a second glass. Overall Enolo provides a chic, comfy, and delicious experience and is a great bet for lunch or dinner.

My friend and I stumbled upon Enolo when we failed to get in anywhere else as many establishments were booked for private holiday parties. Fortunately, Enolo proved to be a good find. They have really good wine flights and lots of wine to choose from. I tried«The Usual» flight, which included a malbec, a cab and a cab/merlot blend. The Birillo cab/merlot blend was actually my favorite and I ordered another glass of it. For food, we ordered the truffle fries with parmesan, which were delicious, bet you can’t just eat one! The empanadas were good, but had a bit too much dough and cheese. We received wonderful and attentive service at the bar. My water was refilled often and even the manager checked on us to make sure we were happy. Beautiful décor, understated elegance, wall paper, chandeliers, ceiling medallions, very dreamy and very French. Good spot for a date date or catching up with a good friend.

Some friends and I stopped by last week to enjoy the great weather and sit outside for happy hour. Most importantly — our wine was delicious and I was glad I took the recommendation of our waitress. Definitely get the Malbec! The food, however, was a great disappointment — off the happy hour menu. First the pizza oven was down — not really their fault. So we got the Artichoke and Leek Dip, Hummus, and Parmesan Fries. The Hummus was clumpy — for lack of a better word and was not that great. The cucumbers were also a little limp — not a great combo. The Leek Dip was a bit salty and lemony — another non-favorite. The fries were good — they were fries and after the two other misses, it was a nice change. Would I go there again? Probably not. Soooo many other places to try for happy hours in the city.

In love! What a beautiful and fun spot. The décor and bar were well done. We sat at the high top tables across from the bar and could see everything. They do have a couple tv’s which had soccer playing. The music that was playing in the back ground was perfect. Not to loud nor to soft. We could enjoy a few beats while having a conversation. It was a James Brown genre with a bit of funk, soul and rhythm & blues. We did a bit of wine tasting. They do have a full bar with beer and liquor. The pretty in Pink as well as the Power Play were both well worth it. 3 different types of each. We did not get any food but noticed the other tables had beautiful arrangements of cheeses and meats. The staff/bartender was excellent and informative. Did a stellar job with going above our expectations. This will be a recurring stop once we return to the great Windy City.

I took my sister to Enolo for a celebratory pre-bachelorette dinner last Friday night. We had a reservation, but we decided to go an hour early since we were so hungry. The restaurant was pretty busy, so we chose a seat on the front patio. However, we underestimated how hot it was and requested to be moved inside half an hour later. Our waitress was completely understanding and helped us move once there was an table opened. She was sweet and really nice! We started off with a flight of white wine each, and three bruschettas — the buratta, the classic and the eggplant. All three were excellent, but my favorite was the buratta. It was topped with crispy bacon bits and the cheese just melted in your mouth. Next, we ordered the beet ravioli and a side of the truffle fries. I love truffle fries, and these did not disappoint. The beet ravioli(even though it sounds a little weird) was really good as well. It was served over a pesto sauce, and topped with some Parmesan cheese. It was stuffed with mushrooms, so it is a great choice for the mushroom lovers. It was full of flavors and they all meshed so well together. We were completely stuffed, but we decided to order the gnocchi because it just seemed too good not to try. It was excellent as well and we ended up eating all of it. It was served over a tomato basil sauce and it had pieces of fresh mozzarella. However, between the two pastas, I would order the ravioli over the gnocchi. I would definitely be coming back to Enolo soon!
