Horrid prices on craft beer. 11.99 for a 6 pack of two hearted ale? Come on now! Mark up is obscene all across the board. Also, ever heard of putting something on sale? It’s good for business. Not coming back

I’m 32… I look 32. I forgot my id as I was changing on the way out. I just moved to Chicago a few weeks ago and I presented my old Id because it was all I had and EDDIE turned me away because it was ‘expired’ despite the fact that I’m 32. I explained that I was 32 and the law states you can’t sell alcohol to someone under 21(11 years younger than me) but he’s a dick. He sold to 3 meth heads in front of me with NOIDATALL but because I’m not on drugs and haggard he gave me shit. Nice job Eddie. Turn away a 32 year old professional but sell to meth heads. Great business model.

Owner enthusiastic and helpful, wide selection of beer, good selection of whisky. Even saw a few dime a dozen vape pens and e liquid. This will likely be my go-to place for the rate Events where I’m in town. Not sure if they are Price competitive, but you can’t beat the selection for craft beer and artisan style whisky in the area.

A-Ok because it was open and close to the crib. Limited range of wine and spirits but all the essentials are there. The usual snacks were also for sale to complete your party setting. Not a hint of friendliness to be found. Oh well!

Staff here know their stuff when it comes to special brews. They can also recommend you some stuff if you’re not sure what to get or you’re on the fence on something. They have decent amount of collection of the special stuff so if you are a beer person, you should definitely give this place a try.

A nice selection of beer including 5 Rabbits Cerveceria’s 5 LIzards Witbier. And seeming that this certain beer is one of two beers my wife only drinks it’s nice to have access to it so close to home. The lady at the counter is nice and for a liquor store it’s clean and organized. The short hours on sundays are a hinderance but easily worked around. Really this place isn’t magical. It’s just a liquor store. But it’s a good one with a healthy selection of brews and helpful employees which make it an easy choice to visit while in the Pilsen neighborhood.

Great little beer store and convenience store in Pilsen. They have a GREAT selection of craft beer and at very moderate prices. The staff is friendly and the location is great. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I’m not sure what I’d do if this place wasn’t around the corner. Beer, wine, soda, cigarettes, & cat food; they are a lifesaver many a day! Seriously though, great craft beer and wine selections. They have a shopping cart by the door of discount wines which is great for when you just want to get your drink on for cheap. Every Friday they have a tasting from around 5−7pm. I’ve tried a lot of good wine this way and it is helpful for future trips when I’m wandering the isles. Staff is the best! They are helpful, funny, and appreciative of the business.

F & R liquors is the jam! We went in for a bottle of tequila unsure of what to get. Not only was Andy behind the counter extremely knowledgeable, he also let us sample various tequilas to help us make our decision. Way more than your average liquor store experience. These guys know what they’re talking about!!!

Great little local store. Super friendly guys behind the counter with a decent selection for a small space. Came here on an emergency pitstop for fuel. Came away with some fancy hard cider(which the staff recommended, and was excellent) and a bottle of A&W root beer. Was hoping for Sprecher, but no such luck. I’d’ve knocked off a star for that if the folks hadn’t been so freaking NICE. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

Most of all agree with Audrey T. «…cool dudes behind the counter» Family run business and you feel that your patronage is appreciated every time. Just recently got new lighting so they’re looking good in the neighborhood. Park in front of the fire hydrant and put on your flashers because you’ll only be a minute. Also agree with Tony C. in that they’re a good ‘first base’ before hitting one of many BYOB’s in the area.

Great selection, good prices, cool dudes behind the counter. Very neat and tidy and not crowded full of creeps. Good selection of party supplies and et cetera. Remember Boone’s Farm? Well me neither because I blocked that out too, but they have it here if you’d like to flashback.

I really appreciate F&R Liquor. The guys are oenophiles! What the heck are they doing on this stretch of Halsted running a beer store? Half a block north of Skylark no less? No clue. But I’m glad they’re there. My routine: call up Mundial Cocina, make sure the restaurant has seats. Gather up people for dinner, rush to F&R(aka Garcia Liquor and Foods to the Locals), wonder around the Spanish/S. American red isle for 2 minutes, wait for someone to ask: can I help you? Mention Mundial’s nuevo-Mexicano cuisine of which they’re perfectly aware and wait for a rec on a mild Spanish tempranillo or a Chilean cab. These guys have never steered me wrong in price nor taste.
