My coworkers and I had this option from Fooda. I chose meatless items like the vegetable lasagna which was good. My coworkers enjoyed the half chicken with the sides and said the meat was very succulent and well seasoned! Highly recommended! I wish they still had a location to visit

My girlfriend recently moved to an apartment complex near FOGO and her and I(and her roommates) decided to try this place out for a quick dinner. I will tell you, I was amazed by the food and customer service. We went on a night when Brad, the owner, was working and got into a brief conversation about his background and the history behind FOGO. I may be paraphrasing, but it was either Brad or his wife that comes from a family with a rich history of Brazilian cooking. Brad and his wife wanted to share the love of cooking with the neighborhood, thus FOGO was created. The restaurant itself has generations of family photographs on the walls, which I find really cool. It is always fun speaking to the owner of a business, and I want to thank Brad for being so welcoming during our visit. Now, to the food. I was amazed by the amount of toppings and options an individual can choose for their pizza. This place is ideal for anyone, especially curious individuals. The price for a slice of pizza or for a whole is very reasonable considering the size and quality. In addition to the pizza, I consider their wings to be one of my favorites in the city. I don’t know if they are marinated or charbroiled or what, but FOGOs wings are ‘last meal on this earth’ material. I was certainly impressed with this restaurant and will definitely eat their again.

Customer service is great. Very friendly, even at 3:00am in the morning. However, their pizza is not so much. The crust is quite thin — so thin that the crust breaks apart at the very touch. Think crackers. Also, there is not much flavor, which left me having to ask for ranch dressing. In addition to the lack of pizza awesomeness, each slice(which is fairly small for the price) is 4 dollars. Even the cheese. Their only saving grace is the staff is pretty chill.

I have to say– no matter what– this place is top notch. The food is amazing– always! Yet– on a busy night– if that crazy busy aspect happens to make any little part of your order slightly different — as ALL restaurants experience-(so don’t lie and say a restaurant is supposed to be perfect all the time or I will slap you) THESEGUYSAREREDCARPETSERVICE You will be given quality service and credit due for any issues you may have. They follow up– instantly– they make sure you know you are important to them– But mostly the food is amazing so don’t try to FIND a problem with it because it is near to impossible. Shout out to Brad for being on top of the service game and as of last night– yet another great delivery of amazing food came my way! 10 stars**********

I ordered the whole chicken for a small party and lived to regret it. Never again. Whole Foods has better chicken for half the price. I used their website — — to order a whole Brazilian charbroiled chicken. It was my first order so I pressed the button for the 10% discount. The website told me that my order would be ready in 40 minutes. I got to the restaurant and discovered that my order was never received by them. They put a previously cooked chicken on the grill and heated it up. I did not get my 10% discount. I got outside and realized they forgot to give me bbq sauce. I got the chicken home and heated it a bit because it was room temperature. The chicken coating was awful — soggy and tasteless. There was no charbroil at all. So disappointing. I might go back for the pizza. It looked really good. I will call ahead to place my order — their website is worthless. The people behind the counter were friendly and courteous. The owners need to reconsider their operation though. There is no excuse for bad food from a restaurant.

We ordered slices and certain pies were better than others. Look for whatever has the thinnest crust, or ask if they’ll toast it extra crispy. The Margarita(tomato + fresh mozzarella) on the night we were there was great. Competent young women running the place late at night made Chicago feel like a feminist town.

It’s long overdue that I write a review for this place. If you’ve never been here before keep in mind that their menu is extensive with a huge variety of specially pizzas and toppings. If you enjoy experimenting different options, you’ll like it here. I’ve had several of their pizzas and their half chicken dinners. The pizza has very well made authentic thin crust and is made in an actual fire burning brick oven. The chicken is very nicely seasoned and has an excellent charred taste that’s rustic and authentic. The prices are very reasonable too with a drink included with most orders and the staff is super friendly, particularly the owner who always calls me by name. This is a great place to stop in for a quick slice or a full dinner. With the recent expansion, a lot more seating is available.

The chicken and garlic knots were delicious. The mashed potatoes that were clearly made from a box and the undercooked, poorly seasoned black beans were not. Not much else to say.

My boyfriend convinced me to order delivery one really cold winter night. I gave in under the condition we order something aside from the pizza. The chicken wings are huge and BBQ calzone is filled with chicken, grilled onions and a tasty BBQ sauce. While the pizza wouldn’t be my first choice, I will def be back for one of those calzones.

Decent pizza. I really wanted to check in and redeem for my free garlic knots, but the guy said it would take 15 minutes and my friend was in a rush. The staff have a good sense of humor here— I lost my gloves and had to resort to wearing my Unilocal Life gloves and the guy started joking with me about being Elite. It’s not like I wear it all the time! Pretty funny. Anyway, I’m definitely going to come back if I need a quick pizza fix– also, decently priced!

This review only applies to the chicken Parmesan calzone. Calzone was very greasy and contaied almost no chicken. Chicken that did come in calzone was shredded and buried in stacks of cheese. The sauce was extremely garlic and salty and not in a good way. Would not order chicken parm calzone from here again.

Why did you guys change the calabrezza sausage on the pizza? It went from phenomenal to almost inedible! I know that sometimes we have to cut some corners, but produce should always be the best you can get… Not really sure if i will be ordering again. Update: Brad the owner just messaged me(yes it’s 2am) to tell me that the calabresa that they usually get is out of stock. That level of care with your patrons speaks a lot about the integrity of the business!!! Thanks for the prompt response Brad!

I am so disappointed that they’ve changed their weekday hours. WHEREDO I GOTOGET A GREATSLICEOFPIZZAANDCOXINASFORLUNCHNOW?! If you haven’t had the coxinas, try it! It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever had in my mouth. it’s this delicious ball made out of mashed potato and stuff with their amazing chicken, and fried or bake for a great crispy exterior and a soft inside. Have some hot sauce with it too! I am drooling right now and it’s lunch time. My taste buds will be surely disappointed without FOGO2GO!

Coxinha looks like an egg, but has a nice meaty cheese quality to it. It’s yummy. Small gives you 1 piece. This place remind me of the ecletic pizza joints found in Wrigleyville like Dimo’s and Big G’s. Nothing fancy, kinda dirty. The layout has too many tables and feels crowded. Pizza toppings are a bit higher end, the one I ordered had brie, fresh basil and grape tomatos. The tomatoes were very good and nicely laid spread out. Each slice has a good amount of topping.

I was so excited to grab a pizza and some garlic knots for the weekend using my groupon, but I wasn’t as excited about the food itself. I placed an order for pick up online, and they were a bit slammed so I had to wait longer than the estimated time, but there was seating and I played some candy crush and watched the orders go flying out the door. My garlic knots were HUGE, but completely submerged in oil– and that’s how they do it– they put your freshly baked pizza dough in a bowl of oil and garlic. It was way too soggy and not even that garlicky or flavorful. Disappointment. My pizza was the spinach ricotta one, and I love ricotta cheese on pizza. But I love it baked on the pizza. In this instance, they scooped fresh ricotta cheese onto the pizza after it came out of the oven. Disappointment. And it really didn’t taste good to have cold, fresh ricotta sitting in large scoops on the pizza. Ruined it, because that’s all you tasted-and ricotta doesn’t have much flavor on its own. The other pizza sitting in the warming areas looked good, and so did the chicken. I regretted not ordering something different. It definitely seems like a good place to grab a slice and go, but during my particular experience, I didn’t really enjoy the food.

Disclaimer: This review is for one of their pop ups. I tried their white Quarter chicken, black beans with bacon and garlic rice. The chicken was good, that was the only saving grace. The black beans and bacon was nothing special. I could neither taste or see any bacon in there. Garlic rice was meh… It was a good value but food was nothing to rave about.

Prices on Unilocal menu, provided, are not accurate– half chicken special cost me $ 10 and something cents after tax. Review purely based on the food I tried. Corn is probably the best thing on my plate right now. Rice beans I’ll refrain from next time. Mash tasted peculiar, but manageable. Chicken was bland and very dry. I kept eating several bites to see if any pieces were somewhat seasoned– 5% of chicken was well-seasoned. On the upside, their music and customer service is great. So great, I lied when asked how the food was. Next time i’ll try their pizza, seems that’s what people keep ordering. *Edit I’ve decided to change my 1 star to a 2 star, as I feel the need to factor in the quality of the staff.

There are a few things I love about this place. 1) The price; Individual slices of pizza are like $ 3 and change. I think if you buy two slices, you get a free drink. The slices are huge; the kind you have to fold in half. 2) The hours; they’re open late on weekends for those drunkies. 3) The atmosphere; it’s family owned and the people who work there are SO friendly. Thumbs up to a Mom-and-Pop place. I bought the Groupon($ 11 for $ 20 worth of food) and ate in there yesterday. For $ 20, my boyfriend and I got 3 slices of pizza(included 1 free drink), garlic rice(which sounds simple and easy to make, but it is delicious and worth ordering), and garlic knots, which, if you are just an «ok» fan of garlic, do NOT get this. If you absolutely love garlic in every and any way, DO order these. They were covered in layers and chunks of aromatic goodness, and olive oil served with a side of yummie marinara. Oh, and they also serve the best homemade ice cream in the neighborhood, Bobtail. Bottom line: if I could rate 10 stars, I would, but 5 stars will have to do for now. RIPFOGO. :((((((
