Not much to say, had to pay to park in their parking lot, Lou malnatis a couple blocks away does not charge their customers, just saying . Have not been here in a long time but I guess I wasn’t missing much, we waited for over an hour not sure why, our waiter was very nice the deep dish pizza was fine but my son had a thin cheese pizza(it’s a kid thing) and honestly It was terrible block of cheese on cardboard. Thankfully there are a lot of new options in the west loop. BTW our waiter was great

Their service quality has been going down day by day. Also, the pizza can turn out soggy 50% of the times. I love their pizza when it comes out good, but recently I feel the gamble is not worth the price. If they are charging premium prices they need to ensure quality is up to the mark.

Chicago Classic is surprise, the crust is topped with a thick layer of cheese, tomato, and then comes the taste of pepperoni and spice. We ordered the garlic&lemon wings while waiting, it’s also very tasteful.

Love the chopped salad, oven-baked lasagna, and deep dish pizza with sausage and spinach! Service today was not very attentive, but the food was amazing and fresh, and the salad and lasanga came out quickly. The bread that comes with the salad and lasagna is soft and delicious, which is a plus! We ate the food so fast I forgot to take pictures…

Service here is pretty bad, like a lot of the reviews mentioned before mine. Takes forever for the waiter/waitress to take an order and to bring drinks. Only reason it gets a 2 star is because they weren’t busy on a Saturday night.

I did not enjoy my experience here at all! We ordered a large thin crust pizza; half margarita and half chicken sausage. The pizza was not the best. The margarita side lacked flavor and sauce. When the check came, they charged us for a full large chicken sausage pizza and an additional half margarita. When we questioned the server and the manager came out and spoke to us. He explained that the additional charges was for the extra ingredients aka the margarita half which is «completely» different from the chicken sausage(that’s what he told us). When we told him our waiter did not inform us about the additional charges, his response was«but did you ask her?». We asked our waiter if we can do a half half pizza, she only responded with yes, instead of telling us there will be additional charges. If I had known this, I would’ve ordered two medium pizzas. What a rip off! I will definitely not be returning!

I’ve grown up on this Giordanos, but first time at this location since moving in the area. I went for lunch with a friend and was extremely disappointed. What a terrible experience… our lunch specials came out before our waters did. I’m all for speed but these pizzas clearly sat out for 45min-hour and the sides did too. Soggy, flavorless, seriously what happened to the pizza I knew and loved? Then a homeless man came to our table after we paid and grabbed fries off my friend’s plate. What is going on this place?! No one noticed or cared. I won’t be back.

/* AMY&BETOTAKEOVERCHICAGO */ /* Bay Area to Chi Town */ Obviously no trip to Chicago is complete without DEEPDISHPIZZA. I never had deep dish pizza before but I do like pizza so I’m sure that’s probably a prerequisite to deep dish ;) We choose to go to gionardo’s because of its location to where we were staying. It was surprisingly well decorated for a pizza joint. They also serve other food as well, such as pasta and appetizers. We ordered one small cheese and mushroom deep dish pizza, which came out to be $ 20 for about 6 slices. Little did I know we had to wait 45 minutes for our pizza to be ready!!! Wahhhhhhh. I got a salad to share with the BF, but the wait was painful. FINALLY, the pizza came out and it looked marvelous. I don’t know if you’re suppose to use a fork and knife but I did, and my first thought was I literally am eating straight cheese. Although the cheese was good, I felt like the there were times where I was straight eating cheese instead of a pizza because the bottom crust was just nonexistent. I also thought the tomato sauce was a little sweet too. Now I am a crust lover and its a no for me with this crust. It tasted dry and not flaky or buttery like the other reviews. Overall the pizza was okay. It didn’t impress me. I didn’t really think it was special or hype worthy. I would recommend going somewhere else. Oh well, on to the next deep dish pizza joint!

The Pizza may be good. But the delivery promptness & organization is ABSOLUTELY Piss Poor. I don’t know where or how they got hired. But the service was WAYBELOW Professional. I mean, Many should take some sort of course on mapping or travel. And quit the lameass Mickey Mousing or below the Three Stooges-Style worksmanship…

I haven’t eaten Giordanos in years… and I realized why. One of my friends at school is from California and has never been graced with delicious deep dish pizza. We’re all in the medical district, and this Giordanos is about as close as you can get to an L stop. Convenience wins! We decided to go with a large deep dish that was half pepperoni and half supreme. There were four of us and our server was happy to accommodate the split pizza. I was excited to start chowing. I noticed the cheese and marinara were both delicious. Pepperoni was fine too. However, the bread and crust were bland – I felt like I was eating two foods that just didn’t belong together. Of course I still scarfed down my food because pizza is pizza but I definitely left the restaurant with things left to be desired. My friend from California enjoyed the food and gave it a solid 7⁄10. We’ll be off to Lou’s next time.

The food was absolutely amazing! For apps we had bruschetta and boneless wings. The pizza was a small stuffed and a medium thin crust. It was cooked perfectly, even my father in law who does not love pizza ate a lot. The reason for the 2 stars was the service. I honestly do not enjoy giving negative reviews, I know people work hard and we all have good and bad days. But the workers simply seemed as though they did not want to be there. From when we walked in and the lady just pointed to our seats, did not ask if the seats were ok, not a smile. Nothing. Our waiter was even worse. He had absolutely no personality and from the beginning seemed annoyed by our presence. My daughter ordered a kid’s meal and he put her drink in a regular, adult cup. I said oh maybe this restaurant does not have child cups, as I see another child be given a child cup and also crayons and a coloring sheet which she also did not receive. My daughter was extremely disappointed. My husband asked if there was juice and was quickly told no, and the waiter just gave the choice of sodas like he was reading a terrible script. Only once did he come to ask if we were doing ok when we had all of our food, I would completely understand this is the restaurant was crowded but it wasn’t, there were tons of empty seats from us being there around maybe 12. I will NOT be going back to this restaurant and if you value good service I would suggest you not go either. It was a shame because the food really was phenomenal but we work too hard to spend money at an establishment that treats their customers in such an unprofessional way.

Giordano’s is our favorite Chicago style deep dish. We always get pepperoni. This was our first deep dish in over a year and a half and it couldn’t have tasted any better. Good location close to the metro without a wait. For more information and pictures check out our site:

The table was a little rocky but the server was kind and my quest for my first chicago deep dish pizza was a success! We came on New Years day and beat out the crowd because most were probably hung over in the big city. The pizza was fresh, steaming even, when it was served to us. We went with a classic, stuffed pepperoni and had a side of parm and garlic fries. The server was nice we ordered the lunch special the waiter said it’s just as quick to get a small pizza today and threw in our drinks for free. I really enjoyed the melty cheese and the sauce was a rich tomato sauce(not sweet which I was happy about) and the crust was perfectly cooked. As for the parm fries they were okay… nothing I would write home about but they were a nice way to cut the rich pizza. Parking was 5.00 for 2 hours. I would definitely go back and I am happy I finally in my mid twenties got to enjoy a true Chicago deep dish pizza!

Giordano’s has become a Chicago tradition for me each and every time I visit this amazing city. As much as I love to go out to dinner, I especially love a night spent unwinding in front of the TV with a large cheese pie, and the absolute only place I want the pie to come from is Giordano’s in Greek Town. The crust is beautifully buttery, the cheese is perfectly cheesy, and the sauce sitting on top of the pie is just the right amount of savory and salty and scrumptious. Through trial and error, we have decided that a cheese-only pie is the only way to go. No excess water from veggies, no excess grease from meat products. Just pure pizza delight.

Giordano’s does a solid job in the race for the deep dish crown. While each chain will run a different style of how they prepare their pizza, if you’re looking for a good introduction to this thick crust phenomenon, then drop on by here at this location! First of all, why this location you may ask? Being tucked away near UIC, you definitely face less crowds than other Giordano’s downtown. I was here twice this last week and each time, we were promptly seated with no hour long wait. Now the real question is, how does the food compare? Each time I go get deep dish, I usually order a calamari to start before proceeding with the 45-minute wait for the pizza. At Giordano’s, the calamari was decent with a couple of fried veggies mixed in for some variety. Nothing outstanding to be honest, but gets the job done. The pizzas here are quite large, even for a small! Get a personal size if you are thinking of tackling one by yourself. Let your pride aside. However, if you’re with a group, a small size can easily feed 3 people. My first time here, we went all out with our meat, and the sausage here definitely makes the pizza awesome. My second time, we ordered a deep dish loaded with veggies and asked for sausages. Unfortunately, they seemed to forget our side ingredient which would have made the pizza much better. Overall, toppings are solid, and the crust at Giordano’s is okay. It’s not as buttery as other chains, and I wish it was because the crust should be the defining part of a deep dish. Service here was good, but wish it could have been a bit more attentive given that there aren’t as many patrons at this location. Oh well, can’t beat not waiting in line for an hour for some Chicago pizza can you?

BBQ Chicken Pizza w/Bacon is my favorite pies. Love this location because the staff is friendly and the parking is only $ 5. A large pie ran about $ 30 and the medium thin crust we got was around $ 18. Overall this is a staple in Chicago that equals the hype

One of the best decisions I made in Chicago. I visited Chicago for work last week. After a long morning of traveling, my co-workers and I wanted to get Chicago style pizza. Luckily, Giordano’s was only a few blocks away from our hotel. After arriving, everyone ordered salads and a small pizza(since everyone wanted different toppings!). The waitress warned us how large the small pizzas actually were and that maybe we should consider getting personal pan pizzas. Everyone changed their orders. The salads arrived quickly and we ate them even faster. The waitress gave us a heads up about the wait for the pizza(it takes about 45 minutes to cook). We were still starving and needed something else to hold us over. We decided to place an order for breadsticks and they were on our table minutes later. The pizza was everything we had dreamed of! I had the plain pizza and had a great mix of cheese and sauce. We STILL had left overs and ended up giving them to the men working the valet at our hotel. They were thrilled. I’d definitely go back again!

I don’t give 5 stars because of the loooong time I always have to wait till the pizza is ready. It takes at least 50 minutes. The quality of Giordano’s pizza is pretty good though. Absolutely the best of Chicago!

We had our rehearsal dinner here, and I have to say Giordano’s really dropped the ball. Setting up the logistics was actually really great– no other pizza place was so helpful or flexible. We needed an extension beyond the normal length of their contract, and they were happy to oblige. But on the night of the rehearsal dinner, they didn’t take drink orders as they were meant to, they didn’t refill water glasses, all of the soda was flat, and all of the pizza was cold. We were hoping to introduce our out of town guests to true Chicago deep dish, but anyone who came in a skeptic surely left as one as well!
