Awesome ice cream place! They have a ton of flavors and very generous portion sizes. The tamales and salchipapas are delicious too. I’ll definitely be back here! Friendly and welcoming staff, they’re fantastic.

This place looks like something out of a video game… bright, cute designs surround the walls and menus, and there’s an aura of delightfulness around the spot. It’s the perfect archetypal ice cream shop, and I bet kids would love it. Popsicle selection is supreme and well worth the ~$ 2/each– I’ve had tamarind, blackberry, and coconut so far and they were fantastic(all of these are from the non-dairy board, and I’m excited to go back and try the dairy selections, too). Food-wise, I had the green chile + cheese fried tamales today(4.99 for four with salsa and sour cream) and oh my god– so indulgent. Simple and tasty. I’m heading back with my roommates to try out the taquitos next. Grandpa’s Delight is just the best, and you should definitely go check it out!

So this place is adorable and everyone’s really nice. But do not order coffee… unless you want a cup of brown water. I admit I’m a little bit of a snob when it comes to the stuff, but it’s like they use one granule for a whole pot. I just don’t get it. Okay now that I feel like a jerk for saying something bad, let’s get to the good… their pork tamales rule, the Cuban sandwich is ridiculously good, and their veggie panini is fully loaded and awesome(I would change the bread it comes on though as it gets a little soggy). All in all, I’m glad this place is down the street from my house and I’ll be back to try more soon!

The ice cream is fantastic, and unique. It is very clean, and the employees are very kind and attentive. The taquitos lunch I had was good, a bit over done but that could have been a one time thing. The Sundaes are fantastic and very reasonable. I’m looking forward to my next visit. I hope they do well in the future.

This place is great! We saw an article about it on a neighborhood newspaper and thought we would check it out. The soup is so flavorful, sandwich cubano is delicious and so as panini. We had magoneada for desert and omg it’s amazing. Gandpa’s delight is such a Bridgeport’s hidden treasure! You should definitely come check it out!

I visited a few days ago and I’m already planning my second trip today! I had the mangonada and I was floored with how delicious it was. Beautiful table top art, clean and comfy space. Friendly staff. Just what McKinley Park needs! Highly Recommended!
