Went in for breakfast on a Sunday was not given a menu was totally ignored. Repeatedly asked for our server but again ignored. Servers would rather gossip with each other then work. Food is not that good so no big loss. With better places near by would rather spend my money at a place that values a customer. Trust me better places are not to far away save your cash. food is not that good.

Don’t expect good service here. It’s a neighborhood greasy diner that serves simple fare. Great for breakie.

Got takeout and the sausage gravy was cold. Bummer. Staff was nice though.

This place is a joke. I call to order my food and the person who answered asked me to hold, So she puts the phone down then hangs it up 2 minutes later. I call back and order my food and it took over an hour to get here and they forgot something on my order. Never again will i eat here.

Great food… and my favorite breakfast place … They have the best blueberry crepes! The owner, Venera, and her workstaff are all great… Kind and courteous! with wonderful waitresses especially Julie and Nancy… not to mention the cleanliness!!!

This place is horrible, the misleading recommendations or five stars ratings are not the best guides. Simply try it for yourself, but start with a cup of coffee, if you don’t agree that it tastes like water then proceed. I had bad experience here, as a restaurant owner myself I’m not easily fooled. I took my family and upon entry there was a gas smell, the owner said it was because of the gas station next door. Bad answer and lie, because if is the case then you’ll always taste gas as you eat. It wasn’t the gas station next door, from experience one of the gas hoses tore and leaked gas. The coffee was more like water with coffee flavoring, service was as bad as these positive reviews. There is more but I don’t bore with details. We ended up walking out but still charged $ 2/cup of crap coffee plus tax after a bad experience.

It’s a good hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Located right in the gas station lot, this inconspicuous restaurant houses groups of people for breakfast throughout the day. I’ve had their pancakes which was delicious. I had to remove the huge scoop of butter though. I’ve also had their gyros with fries and soup. The soup will fill you up alone. The gyros were seasoned just right. This is my local breakfast place. It’s great.

We were staying in a hotel that had no restaurant but the girl at the front desk suggested Harvey’s nearby. We are glad we went. My wife had a veggie omelette with a side order of apple, raisin pancakes. She says the pancakes were the best she has ever had. The omelette was enormous. I had a meat-lovers skillet. Again, it was very tasty and way more than I could eat. We both took doggie bags back to the hotel. We loved our waitress. She did the little things a good waitress does without us asking, like bring extra napkins, bring a plate of lemons for our ice water. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the owner, a young lady formerly of Albania. She and her husband bought the restaurant a year ago and I sincerely hope they succeed. Next time we are in Chicago, we will look forward to a return to Harvey’s.

This place is located next to a gas station, so at first, my friends & family were weary when I brought them here for breakfast… they quickly realized what an excellent breakfast establishment this is!!! We have been here for breakfast countless times now and every single person has loved their food and couldn’t stop commenting about what a gem this place was. Before tailgating for Bears games, we now come to Harveys for breckie to fill our bellies with goodness before the game. We’ve had countless flavors of pancakes, waffles, and french toast. The omelets and skillets are to die for. The wait staff is always kind, the place is alwaus clean, and our bill is always so low compared to the amount of food eaten! On lazy weekends, we sometimes order for takeout, and the experience is just as well. Always give us extra condiments and food is always still warm when we get home. This spot is a wonderful family restaurant & now part of a Bears family tradition :)

While my omelet was delicious, i didn’t really like the way my food was delivered. It was warm when it got here, but the packaging was awful. My crepes were put at the bottom of the bag instead of in the box and it was squished. They also just threw rolls and english muffins into the bag with silverware and jellies. And seeing as how i got hashbrowns. you would think they would add salt, pepper, and ketchup. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Don’t let the location fool you. Their breakfast has saved me in the midst of a hangover from hell. Their staff was really friendly(obviously knowing that I was hungover, they offered me some water while my food was being finished up). Go for the Fiesta Skillet or the B&G. Also, the first time I ever ordered delivery, the guy showed up with my food within 20 minutes!

This place is next to a gas station so yes it’s a hidden GEM. I like the great service from when you walk in the door. I have only did carry out. But my breakfast is always just like I like it and I have all my condiments. And plenty of napkins. I sometimes have a cup of coffee and it’s pretty good. I really like the pancakes and sausage with hash browns with over easy eggs. But soon I will try other things on the menu So if you are looking for breakfast on the go or have time to set and relax then this is the place to go. Happy Customer

Ordered a breakfast pickup via GrubHub & everything was great. I was just looking for some scrambled eggs & pancakes but instead of my regular side of bacon I went with gyro meat. I’m glad I did, they gave me at least 10 healthy slices of gyro & their sauce was excellent as well. Will definitely be eating at Harveys again.

If I could give zero stars for thievery, I would. So I placed an order through Grubhub for breakfast as I was home sick for the day, and I really wanted a piece of pie.(Pie cures all illnesses, amiright?) They called to tell me that they didn’t have the pie, so I told them I wanted to cancel the order all together. When they originally called, I didn’t make it to the phone, and the message I received was, «Rachel, we don’t have pie. Call me back.» Weirdest and least professional message ever.(No greeting? No mention of who’s calling? No call back number?) But it’s a diner, so whatever. When I called back, I told them(politely, mind you) that I wanted to cancel the entire order. The lady rudely responded with, «Over pie?! OH-KAY!» and hung up before I had a chance to say anything else. Yeah, bia, I wanted pie, you don’t have it, so I’ll order from elsewhere. No need to be rude and shaming of my personal pie decisions. Well, I followed up with Grubhub today because I didn’t trust the lady with the rude, rude demeanor and I never received a cancellation message from Grubhub or the restaurant. Well, I guess homegirl«conveniently forgot» to let Grubhub know and decided to keep the money for Harvey’s. Maybe this was, in fact, an accident, but given her unbelievably condescending and rude phone behavior to a customer, I question her choices.

It just opened recently. My Moms been raving about it. The waitress needed some training. She asked if we knew the specials and either did she. My Mom asked for cream for her coffee. We didnt get it until after dinner came out. The steak sandwich was decent. Nothing fancy. Steak of course was bigger than the bread. Ordered it medium was more on the medium well side. Hash browns were good. Owner came by and said hello to my Mom. He was very friendly and neighborly. I have mixed emotions about this place. Perhaps it will be better in time but it definitely was better than the old place that it replaced. Giving it a 3 more on the potential.

Give them time. Was there last week. Kitchen was unorganized, fries were cold. Our soup came out and 2 seconds later our sandwiches did.

This restaurant«Harvey’s» is new to this location. It replaced a 20+ year established«Stages» Restaurant. So let’s compare: I was there for breakfast. it’s clean like Stages. The food was good and plentiful as before. The wait staff is mostly the same. The booths are a little less comfortable but ok. I’d recommend giving it a try. One Glaring difference is the lack of friendliness by the host. No warm smile or «Hello» upon entering as before. He just looks at you and says«how many». :(Almost like he doesn’t want to be there.
