I too used to eat at Jacques French Restaurant with my mother, when we took trips to the city for shopping and the theater. That is where I was introduced to the best Shrimp Dejonge in the world. I agree with the first reviewer. His choice of words, created a wonderful memory. Eventually we went to France, but we never found food any better than Jacques. I’m glad to see that it is still there, creating wonderful memories for others.

I used to eat at Jacques French Restaurant with my grandmother, who lived nearby 900 N. Michigan Ave. The focal point was the fountain in the courtyard setting with cobblestones, small bistro tables and a dome. In winter it was calming sitting among palm trees and flowers. It helped me make peace with Chicago winters.
