Kentucky Fried Chicken

If I had a choice to give these guys no stars I would. They don’t deserve a single star. I’m glad these guys closed or moved away. As far as jobs, woopdedoo (is that how you spell it? lol). You don’t like working there and servicing your customers, so there — you got what you deserved. We don’t need ghetto trash in this fine neighborhood anyway. They all probably went to that Walmart … great — another ghetto infested place.

Came here on a Saturday night and they actually close at 9pm. Place is closing permanently on December 20, 2015 due to loss of lease. New location opening wasn’t posted.

This has to be one of the worst KFC’s in the world. (This is not an exaggeration, it’s a FACT)… I honestly don’t know how they have been allowed to keep their franchise… Not sure what’s worse, running the gauntlet of crazy homeless people outside who incessantly accost you for money or the filthy conditions inside… Horrible customer service! I mean shockingly bad… it is so bad that if someone was to call their employees rude, unfriendly and inattentive that would be a major improvement. (Heck, you get better treatment form the marauding band of homeless outside than you do from their employees)… And don’t even get me started on their bathrooms… If you have seen the movie Train Spotting, with its disgusting bathroom scene, then all I can say is that this bathroom is a close second in terms of sheer filth.
Just looking at how dirty the place is, no one in their right mind would eat anything prepared there… Stay away from this KFC at all costs…

You can’t use a credit card, but you can use your bank card as debit for a $ 0.35 charge. Really??? When you order they forget to tell you that you need to order a drink that its not actually a value meal. Yes, I was just as confused as you when you read this. Whoever runs this joint is a terrible manager. I like KFC, will never go to this one again.

I only eat KFC about once a year and this was good for what it is. Didn’t see any of the employee issues or sanitation issues that other people mentioned. As others mentioned, it is a small location. No free drink refills since the dispenser is behind the counter.

Original Fried Chicken is always good.

I had a craving for KFC so I had stopped in after a good workout.
The location is great — on the corner of Halsted and Diversey with plenty of parking. The place is actually smaller than I thought it was. There were only eight tables. The restaurant was bright and clean from what I could see.
I placed my order with Lorena. Apparently, she really doesn’t want to be there just be here attitude and body language. In fact, none of the employees that I was watching was not happy. Which is a shame.
Within a reasonable time, my order (two piece chicken, fries and drink) was ready. Could the wing be any smaller? Maybe KFC is using Cornish hens? The meal itself was a typical KFC meal.
I don’t know if I would go back since there are so many other restaurants in the area.

I’ve been to this location twice, two years apart. Both times a skank homeless person sat outside looking and smelling like a lump of raw sewage with a human head stuck on it. This is a nice neighborhood. Where do these bums come from?
Anyway…once you get past the toll booth outside, the food and service is horrible.
Avoid this KFC at all costs.

Sometimes I just crave fried chicken so I come here. Almost immediately after I regret that decision. The food here is identical to all the other KFCs: heavy and greasy. Not much more to say about the food other than it’s a cheap meal at the expense of fat and calories.
The recently renovated the entire dining room. Everything is new from the lights to the booths. It feels a lot cleaner in here now.
The service is rather poor. It is really slow all the time. Usually the girls here stand around and gossip for far too long before they start making my order.

I’ve been here three times at night and every time they told me they were out of fried chicken. They instead ask if I want the grilled chicken. Why would anyone come here for grilled chicken? I asked them to fry up the grilled chicken and they wouldn’t do it. I love fried chicken, but I’ll never waste my time going to this KFC again.

I realize that my dire need for food outweighed good sense. Also I should have remembered that there is a reason I have only ever eaten KFC once in my life.
Too bad the previous night’s alcohol addled my brain.
Even if the food had been delicious, I would never eat here again. It was filthy. Everything everyone else says is true.

Usually I don’t waste my time on reviewing chains, especially fast food ones, BUT this KFC definitely deserves one star if it helps steer people away from some nasty food. I came in here one evening, after passing up the homeless man who lives at its entrance, and ordered – go figure – fried chicken. I never believe anyone’s stories about fast food joints that slip past the USDA laws with harmful hormones or that they found feathers in their food… until this experience. I SWEAR I had a very weird mutant breast. I could never be able to tell you what it looked like since it got thrown in the garbage right away, but there was something very, VERY nasty inside. I’m not an anatomy expert but this did not look normal, nor edible. I’d avoid this KFC.

I’d give this two stars EXCEPT the bathroom is one of the most disgusting bathrooms in Chicago. I actually can’t imagine how the management can allow it to remain in this constant state of disgustingness.

I wish more cars would plow throught the front. (did you notice the «new» décor?) For being in the middle of Lakeview you’d think we would get a nice KFC. Is there such a thing. I would think they can do better.

I have to agree with Ryan R. This place is the pits. I’ve lived in the area three years and somehow last night was the first time I ever stepped foot inside.
#1– They were not honoring the Oprah coupons. While I understand that there was huge demand in redeeming those, they should have provided a decent explanation.
#2– The line to order had four people in it, but it took ten minutes to order.
#3– The food took an additional ten minutes. I could have gone to a full service restaurant and been done by the time my order came out.
#4– Homeless woman outside was ready to attack me for not giving her money,
I will not be coming back to this KFC.

I guess I should have known better.
