I really like Dr. Lawshea, for me he has a good bedside manner and is really easy going. The guy never once told me I needed some type of deep cleaning, fillings for micro cavities and all this other new found ways of making a buck in the dental business I’ve witnessed with my previous dentists. He was even really good with my kid, who was 3&4 when we visited. Unfortunately I’m not so over joyed that it will stop me from switching. While I find myself laid back and not as concerned with the general appearance of the office, my wife does and since we both need to choose the same provider for our HMO I had to switch. Add to that that after scheduling three different visits at 1pm(the first slot after lunch) I’d find myself still having to wait around for 30 – 40 minutes because 3 other people were booked at 1pm to see one dentist, I kind of got fed up too. Especially after the last one involved myself, a 4 year old and new born in the waiting room that was so hot we had to open the door to the hallway to get air conditioning. I’m not looking for water falls in the waiting room, like the place that ripped me off for a deep cleaning, but AC in the summer would be nice and when I make a 1pm appointment and I’m the first on the list, I don’t expect to wait past 1pm when I was already 15 minutes early.

As an adult seeking braces and being always hurried by this appointment or that. Dr. Lawshea gets you and an out without the hassle of extra billing for unnecessary work. The waiting area is small but you won’t wait long.
