Soup was good. Problem here is they never have any of the kebabs or grilled meats that are on the menu! Not sure why they have a menu, which I must say looks delicious, problem is looks won’t fill your belly! In reality all you can get here consistently is soup!!!

I came here on memorial day since sticky rice was closed and they were open. They didnt have a lot of options available, just beef and lamb. so we had 2 combo platters of the skewers, the musak dumplings and the israli salad. the food was flavorful and well made, kebabs tender and seasoned well, but this is very much a diner for a quick meal. I found it interesting that they cook the traditional way– worth it for me. the interior is simple and clean, but the wait staff do not speak much english so they have pictures on the menu, better to point out what you would like

No frills, very clean, the Staff are so friendly and made our introduction to this cuisine easy. New additions are handwritten on the menu: Lagman is extra-long handmade noodles with a savory sauce. Kuurdak is tender stewed lamb chunks with potato and onion. Chicken Say is chicken wings, with just a touch of hot spice, contrasted with white rice and slices of cucumber and tomato. Tip: halal

A wonderful hidden little gem on Irving Park just off of Western. When I first saw the«Euro Asian Cuisine» sign I thought that it was going to be some kind of weird fusion stuff, then I discovered that it is actually the cuisine of Uzbekistan, one of the numerous Central Asian republics that were once a part of the Soviet Union. The food is reminiscent of Turkish, with the emphasis on kebabs(try the lamb!), meat stews and rice and noodles. My favorites are the lagman noodles topped with lamb goulash and the mantu dumplings with beef and lamb — comfort food at its best! The place is open crazy hours, something like 11:00 am — 4:00 am — ignore the hours posted on its web site and on the window(obviously caters to cabdrivers), has diner ambiance with with a few formica-topped tables and extremely friendly, if not always fluent in English, staff. The prices are crazy cheap! It’s our current go-to quick bite place. Try it!

Review for food only: I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Lazzat and I get it. That said, I just think I’m not a huge fan of the buns. They are definitely standard Asian buns compared to what I’ve had before, but for me they’re just too doughy and sweet, even for the savory fillings. BUT, the fillings are tasty and texture is great.

After reading and re-reading the Unilocal reviews and pouring over their menu on their website, I finally had a chance to try Lazzat. First impression: the atmosphere made me think its a fast casual restaurant(Central Asian«Chipotle»?), minus the fast part. But we were not in a hurry, so we didn’t mind. Once we placed our order, everything got served quite quickly. Food: It was very home-y, seasoned just right. Every item we ordered was delicious, and I cannot wait to go back and try rest of the items on their menu. My only complaint would be the samsa, which I know was prepared with attention and care(Look at those flaky layers of dough!) that got ruined when my samsa was re-heated in the microwave. The flaky beautiful dough and delicious stuffing turned soggy and chewy. Still delicious, but just not the same. Next time I visit, I will definitely try to ask to have my samsa reheated in the oven. Service: Not the greatest, but it won’t deter me from coming back.

Great food! Very flavorful. I will definitely be a repeat customer! I had the chicken kabob and the ground beef meatball soup. Both we very good. I heard the honey cake is good, but didn’t get to try it this time. I guess I’ll have to go back.
