I have been through many Asian salons to get my haircut and I always left unsatisfied within the week. I thought it would be awkward and intimating to go to a barbershop for the very first time, but it was not like that. It has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Despite the wait, I saw consistent perfect fades completed with straight razor shaves. My barber was Jose also known as Pelos. I had a few ideas about what to do with my hair as the other ideas didn’t work so well with the salons. He listened to my ideas and suggested his professional expertise and I followed. He made sure the haircut was to my liking. He also gave great advice on properly taking care of my haircuts and answering all my questions. I will definitely come back in two weeks for a touch up.

Best barber shop in the city. Good prices and they take their time. A family owned, local business which I love. Joe, Bryan, Jose and the«Quiet Guy» will do exactly what you ask for and do a great job at that.

Place was very professional. They took their time on my haircut and for the quality of service that they provide the price is reasonable.

I was about to give this 4 and then realized that if a first visit can make you feel so welcome and comfortable, that’s probably a very good indication of a 5. What stood out most to me about Joe’s is the welcoming personality of the barber I was assigned and the cleanliness of the place with large angled mirrors across so you always know what’s going on. Joe’s has every indication of consistency which is a gem for barber shops in this neighborhood. First impressions are of a place with a consistent and reliable staff that is attentive and happy to provide their service to you. For my first visit, I received a barber who engaged me in conversation, was friendly, and gave a great haircut. The prices are consistent with what you would pay at a good shop on the north side. I look forward to a repeat visit.

The one other review posted here is clearly written by someone that works at the other establishment. All that aside, here is the real scoop. 1. Consistent perfect fades every time 2. All cuts are completed with hot foam straight razor shaves for the cleanest look 3. A little bit pricier than some of the other local hair cut places, but COMPLETELY worth it 4. Relaxed laid back shop with top notch friendly service I was in the Marines for 5 years, so I was used to getting a nice super close cut every week. Every time I returned home for my short vacations I hated it because I couldn’t find a place to get a descent barbershop cut. I’d resort to visiting SuperCuts, Hair Cuttery and other local salons for a shave, high fade, and trim at the top. It was always subpar and I always left unsatisfied. Then one year waay back in like 2006 I tried a barbershop by my house and it turned out to be LIttle Joe’s. The business is totally professional, place is clean, and the barber(Joe) has one of the best techniques I’ve seen out there. Fades are executed seamlessly and your haircut is by hand & scissors which always looks more natural than those other chumps that resort to a comb & the trim machine. Joe has his 2 sons working at the shop also. I remember visiting in the earlier years where they would always be present every weekend standing next to their father observing and learning and now they too have acquired this family skill. Joe’s proteges have blossomed into great barbers who pride themselves in their skill and technique and I am glad that they have so when I visit, I can easily sit down on any of those 3 chairs and know that I will be happy with the results. One last note: this place has a laid back and clean atmosphere. To me this is a big deal especially since many of the barbershops popping up in the area all claim to provide the«best fades in town». But when you walk in to those establishments you will quickly realize that the clientele and staff is sketchy and questionable. Ok, i’m done beating around the bush: they are ghetto! There, I said it. All in all, this place is great, give it a try, you will NOT be disappointed.
