I’ve been shopping here for about 3 years now and I just love it! They have great, original gift ideas that you won’t find elsewhere. I especially love the handmade jewelry selection! Also the caramels are awesome and the Spice House spices and Co-Op hot sauces are my go-to gifts for my foodie friends!

Great shop. My go-to place for hand made cards. Lots of letter press choices. Love the local foodstuffs as well: Spice House spices, Grown Up Kids Stuff chocolate sauces, Co-Op hot sauces and out of this world caramels by Chocolate Twist. All this and locally made jewelry, artwork and wearables to boot. Do some shopping and grab a coffee or a bowl of delicious soup and catch up with friends at the table in the front of the shop.

One of my favorite Chicago stores! I just attended a soap-making class, where Deb was generous in sharing her vast knowledge. We had a terrific time, and it was well worth the price of the class! We’ve been customers for a long time– I love to give gifts of the baby soap, oil, and butter. My mom loves the balm in small tins, Lizzie is never without the lip balm, and I’m a HUGE fan of the Body Butter. If I have a problem, it’s that I can’t decide among the many terrific scents they blend for their soaps! Current faves — All That Jazz, Carrot Ginger, Mango, and Earth. Lizzie and I are going to sign up for the butters and oils class next!

Such a cute shop. I really like the programming Tuesday and Laura are putting together with all the book readings, faerie house making, and food tastings.

I discovered this quaint shop just doors down from my hair salon, Aqua Salon. I had walked by it numerous times before finally stepping inside. I immediately fell in love with the store! I love supporting local businesses and purchasing locally made products. I did 75% of my Christmas shopping this year at Local Goods Chicago. I found some beautiful cuff links for my husband made with old CTA tokens, handmade cards, locally made soy candles, and jewelry and other Chicago themed items. I got to meet the artist who made the pieces I purchased. I love hearing the artist’s story behind their product and how much pride they take in their work. Local Goods Chicago is one of my favorite stores in all the Chicagoland area. There are always unique gifts to find here! Support your local businesses!

This is one of my new favorite places in the city! Great place to pick up a gift and I can drink a local coffee(not Starbucks!) while I shop. Can’t wait to take one of their cool classes they offer. You have to check out this place… it’s worth the trip to the northwest side.

My daughter loves the classes and workshops held at Local Goods Chicago. While she is in her class, my son can enjoy a snack and hot chocolate while I shop around. There is something in the store for everyone. Local goods is a wonderful asset to our neighborhood.

I can’t say enough great things about Local Goods Chicago. My family and I are very much into the«local» culture so we were thrilled when this place opened. Their names says it all, they are VERY much into supporting local artisans, food and beverage vendors and even their wood counters were built by the local organization Rebuilding Exchange. How awesome is that? This is the kind of place that I love seeing in a neighborhood and definitely the first place I’ll spend my money. I definitely recommend stopping in and checking it out. Have a chat with Laura(the owner) she’s a total sweetheart.

What a great idea! I stopped in last week to check it out and I think this place has such potential. Not only do they sell cool crafts made by local artisans, but they conduct classes in various crafts and also encourage folks to socialize and share. I see it as a work in progress, but what a great start. I bought a tasty pastry and a small 3D art piece of koi. I loved both. I can’t wait to see this place blossom and become a real focal spot for the area.
