Makki Fast Food & Grill

Great cheap tasty food– only complaint is that they can be a little slow.
I love the butter chicken and the chicken biryani– but have yet to try the fusion food options myself. My roommate thinks they’re great too.

Great chicken and rice combos, the spicier the better. The service is great, these are all around great Muslim brothers trying to serve great food cheap.

Back when I lived in the area I would frequent this place often. Stuff my face with samosas. Took my best friend here today turns out he’s a regular here too ! Difficult because he can only eat halal meet and I’m not very picky so five stars for this place definitely ! Excellent customer service and delicious food and a public parking lot ! Must visit. If you have a tasteful palate.

I have been going to makki grill for a long time now, i love their food and my taste buds are always satisfied. Tonite, they were closing but they still took our order, and again the food was just awesome!

Horrible food, and customer service. I’ve just recently started reviewing on Unilocal and this one is long overdue. Last time I went there must have been over a month ago probably longer and the sting is still there. Guy at the front desk, think his name is sadik, has an anger problem. They’ve messed up my order every time I went there, and sadik has argued with me when I told him that’s not what I ordered. To the point where the owner had to tell him to go in the back. The food is so so, except they use patties with filler in it, you might feel some pieces of tendon or maybe plastic in the patties. DO NOT go here, only reason they are in business is because the kids from the highschool next door probably come in to eat since its cheap. Horrible horrible horrible… HORRIBLE

I just moved to the area and I’m cursed with not having laundry in my unit/​building. Luckily the nearest laundromat is literally 2 minutes away (yes I timed it). So I drop my laundry off and my stomach is telling me that it needs to get fed. I didn’t feel like driving anywhere so I started walking and spotted this place.
First of it smelled delicious in there. They serve Indian food which is my favorite dish and as I was scanning the menu I saw that they also serve Philly cheesesteaks. I was really indecisive because it’s a hit or a miss when it comes to Philly cheesesteaks. Since I live life in the fast lane I ordered it! I’m a big whiney baby and I complain about every thing but this philly was absolutely amazing. I mean so good I had it for dinner for a week straight. It was freshly prepared and the owner is absolutely great. You can absolutely taste that he cares about his food and customers. I have also tried his Chicken Beriyani and its yum yum yummy!
You can’t go wrong with this place, food is amazing, prices are unbeatable and the customer service is great!

I recommend the gym shoe or the gyro burger. Can’t go wrong with either.

Great Food! gyro sandwich to die for!

Been here a few times and the food in never consistent. The owners are rude, cheap on the ingredients. The last 4 times i went they didn’t have what i wanted. Sometimes they don’t have chicken and the other times they don’t have tortillas for the burrito. Its best to call them and find out if they have what you wanna eat.

The worst! Not just once but THREE times, they have been out of tortillas! And one other time, they were out of CHICKEN! Seriously?!! It wasn’t even busy, my friends and I were pretty much the only ones there. Also, the partially bald desi guy that works there shows attitude for some reason
The only thing I used to go there for was their chicken Philly burrito which I actually love if they don’t go cheap on the chicken! Nothing else is worth mentioning except the bad fries which a couple times were horrible and I think it as because they probably didn’t change the oil in the fryer for like a week (nasty, all the gunk that builds up)
Anyway because of their repeated let downs, my friends and I don’t plan to go back there.

Food as always is spectacular. And they are so so nice :)) My family comes here and they always offer my 15 month old son a small plate of fries or a lollipop free of charge… small things like this really make a place stand out :) Please please go here… we should support businesses like these! Great great job to the owners.

Tried it on a whim while doing laundry in the same plaza. Ordered the gyro and WOW! The best gyro sauce and very meaty. Very nice and polite people working over there. The fries are also deliciously crispy.

The chicken nuggets are good. I really like the spicy gyro pizza. Just tell the waiter no bell peppers it changes the taste. The pizza crust reminds me of D’agostino’s pizza…

Tried the famous Jim Shoe sandwich and I absolutely loved it. Will surely be back to try out other things on their menu. This place had a feel of a typical neighborhood fastfood joint. Fairly well maintained and clean along with good food definitely earns them a 5 star.

Yummy. This fast food is made to order and absolutely delicious. I have been going here for the last 8 months or so and am happy each time I try something new. Recently, I got the pizza and it is AMAZING. The crust is crispy and thin (made from scratch) and the toppings are flavorful and kinda spicy. And to make this place even better, the pizza costs about the same as getting a frozen pizza at the grocery! The new owner is really friendly and welcoming and they cook everything when you order.
The philly cheese steak sandwich is really good, just the way I like it with small chopped pieces of meat instead of long gyro like slices. It comes with fries and a drink and again, the prices are amazing.

Coming home from the train I woke up from my slumber to espy Makki Fast Food and Grill outside my train window. What was it? Well the sign said fast food but in Albany Park you can never really tell what anything is from the outside. Sliding across ice and snow, I made my investigation.
Makki Fast Food & Grill serves up super cheap eats from 8am-​1am and is open 7 days a week. Located next to Roosevelt High School, I shudder to think what kind of zoo this place becomes once the high schoolers roll in. Fortunately for me, the high schoolers were long gone and the tables were all clean and the only thing on was TV tuned to the news.
I looked at the menu and they served up high school prices! 14″ pizza for $ 6.49 a cheeseburger combo for $ 4.49 and pop for a mere 51¢. I wonder what this place will become since it’s open until one in the morning. They were still cleaning the place up and setting up a backroom so the place is very brand new.
I ordered my food and waited over ten minutes, so this place will never win any awards for speedy service, but such is the way things are done in Albany Park. Patience is a virtue and I virtuously accepted my food and paid with card and was on my way. On the way back sliding through the ice fields the food maintained integrity, texture and temperature despite the below-​freezing temperatures.
My burger was from some deep frozen meat so I can’t say it had much flavor. The fries were much better and were very delicious and suitable for drunk food. I will investigate further this Makki Fast Food and Grill as I strive to add another mayorship and try their Chicken Masala. Chicken Chinese does not sound very good but then again the place down the street serves up Bulgogi Taco.
