I’ve been going to Dr Blake for many years. I’ve usually had pleasant experiences, but today was by far the worse. Theres one receptionist who is pretty ditzy and is rude. I had to get a new prescription for a pair of glasses that I already had. I wear contacts so I rarely wear these glasses. I’ve had them for one year and have worn them only five times. After I picked up the glasses I noticed that the name on the side of the glasses was almost worn completely off and looked like Chinese writing. When I called the office, the receptionist was pretty rude and kept saying that since I’ve had them for a while the name runs off even when I told her that the name was their when I gave the glasses to them and that I rarely wear them. She then stated that this happens a lot when you get new lenses put in your frames. She basically said there’s nothing that can be done. So I will have to wear a pair of glasses with the writing worn off. I spent over $ 300 on those lenses alone. I will NOT be back. If I could rate them with zero stars I would!

I love this office and I love Dr. Blake. I have been a patient since my first pair of glasses 15 years ago. The recent upgrade to the office is very impressive with more space and new equipment. I do purchase glasses elsewhere, since this office has such a small offering.

I try to support neighborhood businesses as much as possible. I have been in her office on more than 5 occasions. Each time, I left scratching my head at the surliness of the front desk. Very rude to my 12-​year-​old son, even though we spent close to $ 1000 for two pair of glasses. I don’t like to give negative reviews, maybe they’re having a bad day. But after five visits… Here is the topper though. I needed to re-​order contact lenses, I saw a deal online and ordered. Dr. Blake’s office refused to release my prescription to this company. They told
I was no longer a patient, even though I had a valid prescription there. I thought that was very petty of them. Had they just released my prescription, this review would not be posted. If you need eye care, Chicagoland Eye Clinic is awesome. Wonderful doctor, and a very friendly staff

Dr. Blake gives exceptionally thorough eye exams, so I feel that I leave knowing that my prescription is the best it can be and that I’ve been screened for eye diseases. She fit me with glasses that are perfect for reading my computer screen.

Dr Blake gives a very thorough exam. Staff is friendly. Glasses are a little high priced, even with the insurance that I have. Will always go there for an exam. Have referred co-​workers to her
