Mata Traders

‘Mata’ means ‘Mother’ in Hindi — this clothing company is all about seeking producer groups that practice principles of fair trade (they are members of the Fair Trade Federation, Green America, Local First Chicago, Chicago Fair Trade, and Think Green Live Clean). They offer cute clothing (Bohemian dresses, embroidered skirts, vintage-​esque tops, jumpsuits, etc.), accessories (bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, and bags), and home décor. They actually have a booth in the Andersonville Galleria in Chicago in which you can check out their stuff, but their items can be found in specific stores/​boutiques all over the States. I’m a huge fan of their dresses, as I think their prints are so cute and fun! They also feature a ‘Charity of the Month’ where you can also donate! :D
