This place will make you wish you had a new, empty place to start fresh with… I was happy with my place until i saw what the pieces in this gallery could do for it. So burn your old stuff(or maybe just sell it) and check out Matthew’s gallery. Ok, it’s completely acceptable to also just buy a piece or two… Even if you really don’t need new furniture and décor, they host events that you need to check out. Might be art based on photos based on lightshows, applied to wonderful architecture… Might be something else. Might be wine. Might be a good time with Matthew, Jenni and a gang of folks you’ll really like talking to. Might be time to just stop by and see…

I hunted all over the US for a very specific bar stool — and found them here at thew Matthew Rachman Gallery. They sold me two gorgeous Umanoff mid-century tiki stools, taking the time to answer(via email) my numerous questions and requests for photographs. The pieces were carefully packaged and shipped, arriving just in time to show them off at a small gathering in my home. I was so appreciative of the time, courtesy, knowledge and care demonstrated by the Matthew Rachman Gallery — and I’m so grateful that they are passionately carrying the torch in maintaining and curating mid-century and modern furniture.

We met with Matthew to discuss using the gallery as our wedding reception venue. Although our plans had to change unexpectedly, I cannot recommend the Matthew Rachman Gallery enough. Matthew was nothing short of helpful, answering any questions that I threw at him. The space is absolutely perfect for a wedding reception, a huge bonus being that you are able to use their gorgeous furniture instead of having to rent generic party tables and chairs. We’re sad to not be able to use the space but hope that future couples are lucky enough to score this awesome gallery for their big day.

I want to preface this review with the fact that prior to my event, I had never met the Gallerist or any of the staff. Moving forward… My wife recently surprised me with a 40th birthday party at Matthew Rachman Gallery. I must say it is difficult to surprise me in general yet alone on my 40th bday party, the radar is always on! That said, I was completely surprised not be be going to our alleged dinner but rather to arrive at an airy and stunningly beautiful gallery of art and furniture filled with 80 of my closest family and friends. She got me, I was completely shocked! My friends and family had arrived from all over the country and congregated at MRG’s hand curated gallery of contemporary art(my taste) and mid century modern furniture. My wife had food catered, beverages served and even commissioned one of our friends(you’ve heard his songs on the radio) to play acoustically in the light filled space which provided the perfect canvas for conversation and celebration. I can not stress enough how beautiful and perfect the gallery was for our event, the praising comments from my guests did not stop throughout the night. In the days following my birthday bash, I would come to learn that my dad and the staff had formed a unique bond over their affinities for all things«well organized and attention to detail.» My dad tells me that the staff met all of his high standards of organization and were great to work with. In closing, I would recommend MRG to anyone looking to host an important yet fun filled event. I can’t say enough about my experience and hope that I will be in a position to visit the gallery again in the near future!
