This place just may be the missing puzzle for me. I’ve been working out pretty consistently for years and have been seeing minimal gains, if any. I knew the missing piece was diet, but I put it off for so long because«I didn’t know how» and«I couldn’t cook.» Not very passable excuses I’ll admit, so when I saw this place spring up I knew it was finally time to start eating right. I’ve worked with a super nice nutritionist, Daniele, in putting together a meal plan that fits my taste preferences and budget. Yes, the food is expensive. But you know the costs going in, and it’s not much more expensive than eating Potbelly right across the street. Whatever the incremental costs are I’m considering an investment in my health. It’s too expensive to sustain long term in my opinion, but for those who are needing to break bad habits and get on the right track, whether that be a few days, weeks, or months, — this place is perfect. A few tips if you’re looking to save a few bucks: — Buy the Chobani yogurts from wal-mart across the street($ 1 vs $ 2.50) — Get chips or granola bars instead of the MFF-prepared snacks — It tastes excellent, but the steak and salmon entrees are about $ 13. There are definitely cheaper options available.

$ 11.60 for breakfast and lunch. Parking sucks here. If you find it its metered. I like that its like fast dood but healthy. A yogurt parfait for breakfast is the cheapest breakfast here.($ 4.50). The wraps are the cheapest lunches.($ 6.00) I like them because they do not need heating.

I live right by this location and had been wanting to check it out for a while. I called to make an appointment and met with Jennifer who went over my current eating habits(not so great…) and discussed my likes and dislikes food-wise(I eat anything!). I exercise regularly and don’t drink soda, so I think I am a pretty easy client. They gave me a free meal which was the lean turkey, and it was pretty good, but spicy. I was mostly checking into the 21 day challenge to lose a little weight and gain energy. I am now going into my 3rd week and I must say, I LOVE how convenient these meals are, it’s so nice to already have my meals prepared. Everything I’ve had so far has been great! I even like the kind of bitter/sour cocktail which gives me more energy than my usual coffee. I find if I stick to the meal schedule, I am less hungry and less likely to eat junk. I opted to not get any of the snacks and to just eat greek yogurt which cut down on costs for the challenge. When this challenge is over, I plan on picking up meals for lunch to take to work, breakfast when I’m wanting a treat and dinner when I don’t feel like cooking. I also will stick to the meal schedule(eating every 3 – 4 hours) because I notice a difference with that too. It is expensive, but cheaper than eating out for sure! A salmon dinner is about $ 10 for a small and that’s a lot cheaper than going out. I am also going to keep drinking the cocktail(cranberry juice, water, apple cider vinegar, liquid b-12 and juice from half a lemon) as it definitely has helped with my energy!

Let me start by saying«This sh*t is awesome!». Seriously. I’ve been waiting for a place like this for years, and my wishes have finally come true. Not trying to be corny at all, but when you’re as busy as I am(we all are), sustained healthy eating habits can easily be put on the back burner. Don’t front, you know I’m telling the truth. I started the«21 Day Challenge» just 10 days ago, and as of this morning — I’m already down by 10 pounds(exactly)! I haven’t even started to workout yet. The food is amazing. My nutrition coach Jen, is dope as hell and super encouraging. She’s really passionate about what she does, and listens to what I like and don’t like about my meal plan. I seriously couldn’t be happier with the experience I’ve had here thus far. I’ll look forward to hopefully having a location near me in the south loop one of these days. Honestly though, it’s worth the trip up north to get the personal attention and great customer service that they provide at this location. Trust me! 10 pounds down, another 40 – 50 to go! Cheers! Kameron PS — The food is seriously restaurant quality. If you love«flavor» the way I do, then this is definitely the place for you.

I’m a busy working girl who tries my best to make a lunch from home every day that is healthy because I’m trying to lose weight. I was very upset that I forgot my lunch today because all the available options are so unhealthy. Usually my only diet friendly option is to walk aimlessly around Market Place until I find some sort of meal I can throw together without overeating or spending a ton. However, I remembered this place opened up so I went over. The store is modeled very nice and I felt good walking in there. Staff was very friendly and informative. I didn’t find them aggressively pushy like some have said, but I’m in sales too so maybe that’s why I didn’t notice? Anyways, the concept was weird at first(meals I have to warm up myself?) but I love the wide selection of truly healthy yet tasty foods that I can enjoy and feel fulfilled without ruining my diet. That being said, I do think the place is a bit overpriced, especially since I have to take it back to work to prepare myself. Consider lowering your prices by at least 25%! As long as taste and whimsy keeps up, I will be back I had the turkey Mac with brown rice noodles and the sriracha buffalo chicken wrap. Because they just opened I had a buy one get one card. Both were very tasty and smelled very good. Don’t worry, I ate one for lunch and one for dinner. Not all at once! I felt full after and even guilty! But then I reminded myself that this was low calorie, healthy fare. And that makes me really dig this place. update: i came back for more a couple weeks later, same great experience. This time around i got the Pollo Adobo Tacos, and the Kombucha BBQ Chicken with mash. DELICIOUS!

Let me start by saying that I am a Fan of My Fit Foods. They have a great concept going, pre-packaged, pre-prepared meals for people on the go, or for anyone who needs a meal plan/structure. These meals are portioned, according to your caloric needs, but for women a small to medium size meal is suggested and for men a medium to large. The price of the meal varies, depending on the size you choose. So, I knew that a new store would be opening in the Clark/Diversey Area, but I actually thought it was going in where the old Walgreen’s used to be. No, actually it’s about 4 doors off the corner at Diversey and Clark, and it is definitely a much smaller store than the North Avenue Store. But, it is very inviting and Sleek/Modern, They have beautiful shiny new refrigerators, a microwave station if you choose to have your meal inside. This location does have a few tables for seating, but not many. Honestly, I can say that these prepared meals taste really good, all the nutritional facts are included on the labels and I do have my favorites, like the Turkey Spaghetti and the Salmon. And, this was a great surprise, they have updated their menu with new categories like Latin Inspirations, Taste of Texas, Asian Inspired, Italian Classics, Wraps and Energy Plates. And, if you haven’t tried one of their live organic sodas you need to do this, Rootbeer is the best for sure! So, also need to give props to Jennifer who is in charge here, she was so helpful and I’m really glad I got to meet her today. Jennifer is a definite asset to My Fit Foods. So, Lakeview Residents, Your new My Fit Foods is now open for business. Go and say Hello to Jennifer and buy some really healthy, tasty food! You’ll be happy you did… And, Hey. I’m first to review too. I like that!
