Food served cold to room temp. Poor service and they removed sides from sandwich orders. They are extra. DAMN I wish they would reset and stop giving vegan food a bad name.

I’m not a vegetarian, but their food really does taste like meat. My favorite is the gyro bowl, which has a variety of vegetables, quinoa, and their version of gyro meat. If I didn’t know they didn’t serve meat, I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference. Once you order, your food arrives very quick, so even if you’re in a hurry give them a try!

Ordered delivery: chili and the salad w avocado, quinoa, tomatoes, cucumber… etc. the chili was pretty good, but the cornbread it came with was AWFUL. It was an end piece, very dry and dark brown like it was way over cooked. The salad was very tart, couldn’t figure out what it was coming from… wouldn’t recommend it.

This location has fantastic staff. We went there to have a few drinks and some appetizers, and the staff paid attention to us just as much as they would to someone who ordered a full meal. I later thought I forgot my credit card and called in — the person on the phone went above and beyond to look for it. 5 stars for service!

This is my «go to» location now that they closed River Forest. Everyone here is super nice and the food is wonderful. I highly recommend the Azteca salad.

This place rocks! Great customer service, killer food. good location! Can’t wait to go back. My girl got the roasted veggie salad and loved it, and I had the Native Nachos– man those were f’n awesome! Can’t wait to return.

We came here to try the tortilla soup and chips with salsa and guacamole. I was impressed with their large menu of vegan and vegetarian options. The soup was a small portion, but delicious. There was not near enough chips for the salsa and guac, so we ended up eating the guac with a fork.(There were not free chip refills.)

Let me preface by saying: I do not eat dairy or meat. Native Foods Café was delicious. I ordered the oatmeal cream pie which is a must have as well as the moroccan earth bowl. Anybody who says vegan food lacks flavor should come to Native Foods. Flavorful and delicious, this is a great stop for anybody with dietary restrictions. Prices were very good for the vegan restaurant genre.

This place is amazing! The Native Nachos are the best ever! Down to the cashew cheese, black beans, corn, onions, tortilla chips and chipotle sauce on top! I always say that I’m going to try something new on the menu, but I can’t help myself from not getting the nachos every time. The peanut butter cookie and the carrot cupcake are good too.

This is an update to my 2011 review. To be honest, I don’t really eat at Native Foods at all anymore. Overall, the menu is heavy on fake meat and cheese, which I find makes me feel bloated and awful afterwards. Therefore, I feel my new rating is more suitable. I hope one day Native Foods deviates from(nearly a pure) fake meat/cheese heavy menu and focus on making good veggies.

Vegan fast food? uhh yes please. As a recently converted vegan, Native Foods made my day so much easier with on-the-go cruelty-free dining as an out-of-town visitor. Sure, 14 bucks for fries and a sandwich is a little steep, but I’d happily pay more for quality food. Their Reuben sandwich was one of the best meatless renditions of a Reuben I’ve tried. The folks who work at this location are all so freakin friendly! I wish Native Foods existed in my city so I could try everything on the entire menu…

I love Native Foods. Since they closed the West Loop restaurant, this might be my new favorite location. The staff was super welcoming and friendly-they even moved some of the West Loop staff to this location. Food was fast and delicious. Probably the best Native Foods Rueben I’ve ever had! Bonus: around the corner from Stan’s Donuts!

Loved this place. I tried the Bangkok Curry Bowl, alongside the fresh watermelon drink. Very impressed. The good thing about Native Foods is that all of their food is Vegan, and you don’t feel bad about dining out! I was also inspired to keep up the healthy eating for a few nights, at least. Fresh and Friendly! Perfect for a date, as Milwaukee Ave offers many interesting and main stream shops to check out. Close to the Damen stop.

One of my favorite restaurants! Recently moved to Lakeview and there is one right around the corner. My only complaint is that their food is getting a little pricey(which is to be expected) But a sandwich and fries for $ 14?! That’s crazy! That said, I’ll still be back regardless

I am NOT vegetarian or vegan and this place still meets my needs really well. FAST, fresh, and waaaaaaaay more healthful than other«fast food» places I could be choosing without losing any of the flavor. I like the twister wrap… like chicken tender buffalo wrap you’d get at a place like Red Robin or something of that nature. The sweet potato fries are good, but equivalent to anywhere else that might make them. I haven’t tried any of the homemade drinks… although I think the pricetag on them is a bit pricey. I’m addicted to Diet Coke though… so don’t take my word on most things.

Came here yesterday, was actually trying to go to unami burger with my sis and vegetarian bro in law, but it was a 45 min wait. So we came here and he was in vegetarian heaven. They got a lot of different things on the menu. They even serve beer! The nachos and watermelon fresca are amazing. My gyro bowl was very bland and the Thai meatball bowl was mediocore. I’m a full carnivore but I’ll say there decent flavors here. But it might not be for me. I will say it is really healthy and fresh. When it cones to vegan dining I prefer Chicago diner!

Nice place for a quick and healthy bite to eat. Clean bathrooms and great customer service. Everything is plant based, so if you are in to that, check this place out. I like that this is their style but they aren’t pretentious or hit you over the head with it. They also have a rewards/loyalty program as well.

Native Foods can’t manage to respond to email inquiries in a timely manner regarding their non-transparent nutrition information. As someone who tries to eat healthy and avoid soy at all costs it’s imperative that I understand what exactly I’m eating at this joint. In addition to having some dietary restrictions, I am conscious about the calories that I consume and it’s important to me to see in the nutrition facts of the food that I’m eating. I emailed at the beginning of the month requesting nutrition information and I did not receive a response until the very end of the month– even then I did not receive the nutrition information, they simply do not have it available. How is this allowed? Isn’t it a law that establishments must provide nutrition information? I won’t be frequenting native foods until I receive the nutrition information that I requested.
