Great sandwitches!!! Great service. I love those lunch sandwiches and Italian sausage. I can honestly recommend nottoli on top of all you can feel this is family business non corporate franchise with no soul feeding pockets of people you won’t even meet. At Nottoli you see pic of the owner hanging on the wall from when he was wrestler and i constantly see him in the store.

At Nottoli’s, 9 am and you have to take a number. The secret is out! Best Sausage in town. Don’t sleep on the meatballs either.

What a little gem this place is. Tucked in the far northwest side of the city in the Dunning hood, is a tiny Italian grocery shop with a deli counter. Something very similar to Bari’s. George, the owner, use to be a wrestler. Well here at Nottoli’s their Italian Sausages are bodyslammin and cold subs piledrived high with quality meats and cheeses and its all done at a breakneck pace during the summer. Everything here is made fresh to order. So far I have had their Prosciutto & Provolone Sub and Meatball Sandwich. You can taste and feel the freshness in every bite. That Meatball Sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The bread is so soft and fresh, the meats are perfectly spiced making every bite a savory and eureka-like experience. The place is small so for the most part you are getting everything to go, although they do have a little patio out front. Service is friendly and attentive. They have a nice variety of pastas and sauces, how bought Vodka sauce? for sale in their coolers as well. Additionally they have large trays of their Sausage and Peppers that could feed a whole family. Prices are extremely reasonable as it seems every day but Tuesday(closed) they have a special. For those that are afraid to venture this far west, I’m telling you it is worth the trip. Maybe it doesn’t have the fame that Bari’s has but it’s just as good and in my opinion even better. You can believe Nottoli’s holds the Championship belt! Now what’s the next sandwich I will buy? Ooh those Sausage and Peppers yeah that’s next!

This place is a fixture in the neighborhood with an authentic Italian deli, small store, and sandwich shop. If you are ever craving an authentic Italian meal, you won’t regret stopping in. Today I had a spicy grilled panini called Dante’s Inferno that induced beads of sweat. I added a small side of pasta salad with a 20oz drink for under $ 12. Patiently circle the block for parking, this is a small place that is easy to pass by but definitely a gem.

I live right around the corner and have been coming here since I was a little kid. The service is fast and friendly, the prices are great, and the sandwiches are freakin’ outstanding! My personal favorite is the turkey with provolone and Italian dressing. You will not be disappointed.

This Italian deli is a throw-back to a 1960’s deli out of a movie set — like when people sat outside a store front sipping Expresso coffee, laughing, gossiping, playing cards while chomping down on fat cigars.(Note to Self: Start working on my screen play). This joint is a mecca for lovers of house made fresh Italian sausage(mild or spicy), and so many other Italian specialties. I finally found exceptional Italian sausage here. I can only imagine that decades ago young kids were eating Gelato on a hot summer day, skipping rope and playing hop scotch in front of this deli store. I stopped in here after reading some of the Unilocal reviews in search of the«best» Italian sausage for an old Italian recipe from my Grandmother. Look no further, because Nottoli delivers on so many levels. High quality ingredients are used to make the sausage. It is pure meat(no fillers) and a family secret recipe. The store features exceptional imported Italian products, such as, a variety of pastas, pure and delectable Olive oils, aged cheeses, lots of dolci, pastries, meats and fresh, homemade food that beautifully showcases their Italian recipes. Their arancini(stuffed rice ball) is filled with delectable meat, fresh mozzarella cheese and green peas. The exterior is crispy and light while the interior is melt in your mouth awesomeness. Make sure you request marinara gravy(sauce) over your arancini. They treat their customers like family and want you to feel at home. They have regular customers as they were called by name, so it has a community vibe to the deli. This is a mom and pop operation. They provide ebullient and exceptional customer service. If you want to order their Italian sausage, ahead of time, you can call the store and place your order. They will make as many pounds of it as you’d like and it tastes even better grilled. I rarely rate with 5-stars, but this place deserves more than 5-stars. Service was hospitable and effusive. I ordered several sub sandwiches to go and was impressed by the quality of deli meats and condiments. Is this a place that I would return to again? Was it worth my time, the long drive and gas? Was the Italian sausage exceptional? Triple yes!

Just found this place by work and it is great. Breaded steak sandwich is very delicious. Tuna salad is very fresh. I also picked up the spreadable peppers/giardinera and it’s good and spicy. Also, bought frozed meatballs and vodka sauce and they were amazing — just heat up and boil some pasta. Closed on Tuesdays and very packed at lunchtime on Wednesdays. The sausages look really good as well, but haven’t tried since it’s not really grilling weather outside.

This place is the real deal. Great meat, sandwiches and supplies. I stopped in with a friend who is a regular and we got some samples. What started out as a quick stop for sub turned into an Italian feast. Great subs, sausage, beef and I picked up some giardinara.

Found this place on Unilocal while in a mood for an Italian sub. When I got to it, there were a few people lined up already, which made it confusing since the place is small and I couldn’t figure out where to order. I finally figured it out-you need to take a number, they are to the right of the register. Good selections on sandwiches, some European products, etc… What almost made me walk out the door was that when I asked for my sandwich to be toasted, they requested that I pay $ 1 extra. It was kind of a turn off and if it wasn’t for the people behind me in line, I would have walked out and never ordered. Overall, it was okay.

I’ve just discovered a fantastic little Italian grocer which happens to sell hot and cold sandwiches. Their Italian beef is some of the tastiest I’ve had in awhile. The bread was just right and the hot giardinara was great. The staff are friendly. Tons of Italian delicacies to be found here too. Give ‘em a try!

Great family orientated business. Try the pot roast sandwich. Outstanding. Its small inside with only a few tables. The pasta and sauces are great as well. They close early so keep that in mind. Easy parking.

This place is the real deal. They have a great set up for fresh sandwiches, and are famous for the XXX Hot Italian sausage. From the wrestler pictures on the walls, to the ample supply of high quality Italian goods, this place is what your typical Italian corner shop should be: affordable, family owned, and a great place to grab prepared or cold food. They have outdoor seating for the warmer months(good for groups when it is warm) and a nice mix of lunch and sandwich specials. No indoor seating.

I’m concerned that if I write more, readers will think I’m on the Nottoli & Son payroll. Please trust me, I’m not! This evening, once again, I enjoyed some of their mild Italian sausage with fennel seeds that I cooked up along with red sauce & linguine. OMG, once again, it was great!!. BTW, my wife and I recently tried their olive & tuna salads. Both were great! Okay, if you like Italian food, you gotta go there!!! If you don’t understand what I’m saying… I gotta wonder if you have taste buds!!! :-)
