Many talk about the great delivery, but I only ever carried out from this place. I don’t recall there being a table to eat at here, but I may be wrong. The carry-out Cantonese fare is excellent! We were treating my mom, who considers Cantonese to be the«best» cuisine. So we stuck with the traditional menu items, all large orders, chicken chow fun(with large rice noodles, crispy on the edges from the wok), a homey tofu and vegetable dish, and a ham fried rice(this last choice was substituting for an egg foo young which the kitchen also excels in making). It all make for a tasty dinner! Maybe not the best cuisine, but one that pleased everyone, which was all that mattered.

My favorite employee who handled the cash register has been gone for years. I found out she actually went away for a while but the restaurant won’t hire her back. Apparently she must have been the general manager of the restaurant as quality control has been severely diminished. 1. This restaurant has recently failed food inspection by the City of Chicago. Food preparation areas were cited in the case that was filed this year. 2. The ONLY dish I can stomach is the Singapore rice-noodle. 3. My favorite lunch special, Orange Chicken, I have lost a taste for. The last time I ordered this dish it was warm. Not hot, but strangely a mediocre warm. I tried eating it but every time I did I just wanted nothing to do with the dish. 4. Do not get the Mango smoothie. Whomever makes the smoothies should stop using unripened fruit for the smoothie mix. Sour Mango is not appealing at all. 5. Smoothie mix is uneven. Mixing hot tea into a cold drink will always equate to an uneven mix. Not sure who does this they just prepare the tea ahead of time and put the tea in the fridge. Also the tapioca is not given enough time to thaw. 6. Lately, customer service has been rude. I don’t blame employees, I blame ownership. Potbellies opens up tomorrow and Lou Malnatti’s is coming in 2016. If they don’t something soon they should just close up shop. They’re just biding time hoping the area doesn’t improve.

You know what? Ill take it! Girlfriend and I went to #1 Chop Suey Last night. We dined in, just cause, you know Chinese is always best when its hot. Started with a banana Strawberry smoothie with bubble T. Wow. We needed it. So frickin good and I would consider returning to #1 just for a smoothy. I got the hot and sour soup, excellent! and she got the egg drop soup and said it was very good. The Egg rolls were solid and the Chow Fun was exactly what I hoped for. The staff was friendly, service quick. I will go back

What a great neighborhood option for cheap, good, fast Chinese take-out! Highly recommend the jumbo shrimp fried rice and the chicken wings. We tried the wonton soup once and while the broth was tasty, the wonton wrappers came off in the soup like cheap wrapping paper. So if you’re picky about your dumplings, might want to avoid getting that.

I went to No One Chop Suey on Irving Park Road in Old Irving tonight to grab a quick bite to eat after working on the kitchen all day. I use to live in Old Irving about 3 blocks away and moved further north to Forest Glen. I have been going here for more then 20 years. I ordered the combination No 9 which comes with Shrimp Egg Foo Yung, shrimp fried rice & an egg roll and an order of chicken wings. When I went in I saw that Unilocal offered an egg roll with a CHECKIN I asked them which they refused to honor. I mean I have been coming here for more then 20 years and they couldn’t give me a stinking egg roll. The women working the counter borders on being ignorant and rude. No people skills whatsoever. Then on top of it the guy there is giving me a dirty looks because I’m asking for the egg roll. HELLO if you can’t give me an egg roll don’t put the offer on Unilocal. That’s ok keep you F – in egg roll, but I will never go back to this restaurant again. Cheap ass Chinese lose a 20 year customer for an egg roll.

Although placing a phone order can sometimes be challenging given the language barriers, their food is very good and quite plentiful for the price. There are always left overs. Delivery is prompt. We especially like orange chicken, Kung Po Sea Food and the Tomato Pepper Steak.

Had a Unilocal coupon for a free egg roll for checking in and he refused to redeem the offer. He said I have to pay extra for the egg roll.

i would not give it a single star if i could. i will never buy from this place ever again and no one should either!!! this place’s costumer service is the worst with individuals who cant even speak proper english and get my order wrong. i called them back and they said i was wrong and i did the mistake then hanged up on me. i will never ever buy anything from this place. they cannot be treating their customers like that. i just ordered like 40 minutes ago and i am so angry right now i want to just go to that place and throw the food on the front door and say heres the f***** i didn’t order. dont buy from this place!!! us customers deserve better! dont keep them in business. they need to respect their customers and at least attempt to work something out with them. yeah you heard me chop suey #1 i want you closed for good you dont deserve the money i payed to get the wrong food.

Worst chinese food I’ve ever had. Ordered delivery which was on time. Portions were big for the prices. Those were the only good things. Order of pork noodle soup and shrimp noodle soup were lukewarm, tasted like water, the noodles weren’t separated from the«broth». So the noodles were mushy. There was barely any veggies or protein. Horrible. Lo mein was worse. I’ve had many kinds of noodles in my life(I’m asian) and this wasn’t lo mein at all. They used stringy, brown, soft rice noodles. Barely any protein or veggies. I think they just added a tablespoon of watered down soy sauce over the pound of noodles. We took two bites and closed the box. Order of rib tips in bbq sauce. Awful. Tough and mostly bone and the sauce was basically just sweet and sour sauce. The fried rice was ok. $ 25 for food we had a couple bites of bland, mushy, cold, tough food. We were so disgusted. At least we didn’t get sick. Just went outside to look for a homeless person we could give the food to because we just can’t stand to throw away food Feel bad writing this review but people in the neighborhood need decent restaurants. Horrible food.

I’m only giving this place those 2 stars for the fried chicken wings only which are pretty good. Ordered beef fried rice(dry and colorless), beef chop suey(thin brown sauce), egg rolls, egg foo young(watery, tasteless and boring), and beef and broccoli… I didn’t enjoy it at all. The other one in Oak Park tastes better. Won’t be returning.

I just witnessed a cook, outside smoking a cig, blowing snot out of each nostril with his bare hands then walking back inside, straight to the kitchen. This guy never once thought about washing his hands nor did he try to ‘fake a hand washing’. I live across the street and have been eating there for 1.5 years, NEVERAGAIN. They couldn’t pay me to eat there again. Mind you, at times I have eaten there 3 – 4 times a week. NEVERAGAIN. This is my first Unilocal review, that’s how nasty he was blowing snot and flicking the remnants off his hands to the ground. NEVERAGAIN. If I could give this place a –7 I would…

Ordered sweet and sour chicken combination(includes shrimp fried rice and egg roll) and pineapple/coconut smoothie. I ordered via Eat24 hours before their opening(11a). Went back to sleep(9a) and was awakened by a phone call at 11:20a, «Delivery outside.» Awesome and friendly delivery man/owner? «It’s cold honey. Careful honey…» Ha, so cute. Fried rice was on point and sweet and sour chicken tenfolds better than Panda Express. Order from here! Great prices, great personnels, fast delivery, and awesome food. Will be ordering again. ** I’m a little confused. Unilocal says there’s 1 chop suey on addison as well, is that a different one? Or is that this(irving park), relocated?
