Tried their deep dish vegetarian pizza since I was fasting from meat the day I went. They heated it up in the oven before giving it to me. When I got it, it looked like a thick piece of bread with some cheese and very small pieces of vegetables. To me, it was not a traditional deep dish where the toppings, cheese, and sauce take over majority of the«deep dish» since really, the bread took that title. When I tried it, I didn’t mind! The crust tasted buttery, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

This place recently had a management shift and I wanted to get back to try the food and the service. The BBQ pizza slice I was hoping for was sold out, however Robert /Gio offered to make a whole pizza so that I’d get a slice of what I was hoping for. Typically when most of these places run out of something–«that’s all she wrote» as they say. These gentlemen were kind, and willing to go the extra step for a patient,(hungry) patron. HIGHLY recommend!

Blah, the size of the slices does not make up for the lack of quality. This stuff in no way compares to good Chicago pizza. These people need to go back to New York.

I eat here a few times a week, and there’s a few reasons why: food, service, price. These slices are true to their NY heritage, a fold-able, delectable slice, always served fresh. The service here is great, the guys behind the counter always leave me cracking up. Only place in town I can grab lunch for $ 5(a slice and a 50 cent drink), and actually stay full all afternoon. Great service and great pizza, don’t miss this hidden gem if you’re grabbing a bite in the Citigroup Center, it’s behind Dunkin Donuts.

This place is probably the closest you’ll get to NY style pizza in Chicago. The slices are huge! Used to come here a lot, but something has changed. Pizza comes out cold and the reheat does not do the trick. Not sure if their usung less cheese now or what’s going on, but it’s definitely not good. Can’t go back. I

Guys, I know its a slice of pizza in a paper plate, but I find it to be extremely satisfying! Classic nyc style, I’m a Chicagoan. wut! I thought to myself«how could this paper thin, giant slice of pizza pack any flavor?».it does. Their marinara is also good. So is the deal. Fountain drink is only .50 if you order a slice. Free refills too. Ogilvie transportation center food court, check it.

The mushroom pizza slice is decent, especially if crispy NYC pizza is your thing over gooey deep dish, pan or anything resembling Chicago pizza. What I don’t appreciate about this joint, however, and the reason they are holding at 1 star, is there is dishonesty at the cash register. There’s nothing much worse than paying $ 10.38 for a slice of pizza that costs $ 4.37 with tax. For 10 bucks a slice, forget it — NYC Slices loses the debate before it starts. Like a lot of patrons, it’s much easier to pull out a debit card than to carry cash, no matter how inexpensive a slice of pizza is. Anyways, I hand the guy at the register my debit card. He says $ 4.37. He swipes my debit card, throws the receipt deep into the trash; motioning me with his hand, that we’re done here, and I go along on my merry way. Not so fast, I think and I ask for a receipt. The guy moves the trash receipts around, picking up a few and checking the total on each. When he finds one for $ 4.37, he hands it to me and I go on my way. Later that night, I notice my account shows a debit of $ 10.38, yet the receipt fast«Eddie» gave me, is for $ 4.38, and the time on my receipt is 20 minutes earlier than when I was there for my takeout slice of 10 buck pizza. If it weren’t for the fact that this employee at the register, possibly fast«Eddie» reiterated a few times that the pizza slice I ordered to go was $ 4.37, I might assume he made an honest mistake. That, however, wasn’t the case. The guy clearly knew what he was doing.

When I need to work late and my family is forced to fend for themselves, a slice of cheese pizza makes the commute home better. Once a Jersey girl, always a jersey girl, so I sprinkle on the garlic, oregano, parm cheese and I fold and enjoy. I stick with a cheese slice. The one time I ventured to a white pizza slice, I was disappointed(too dry).

This is a hidden gem in the OTC food court(it is hidden behind a corner so you don’t see it unless you are already in the area) I’m from NYC and so miss the pizza. I HATE what Chicago calls pizza. I was at OTC last week and ran into NYC Slice, it was like being home. The crust was perfect to fold in ½ and you got that little trail of oil the pour off. God it was like being home again. This is a must stop now when I go thru the OTC

Slices were big and delicious, really hit the spot after happy hour. I just got a cheese pizza. One was enough to fill me. Walk past this place all the time, never stopped in. It was good, probably be back. To far of a walk for me for lunch time but maybe after a happy hour again.

I’m giving a 4 star review for their pizza only. If it was on their service or the breadsticks it would probably be a 3 star review. But I didn’t come here for service or sticks, I can for pizza. I’m a Chicago native, born and raised in the city of big shoulders. But to be honest I prefer New Your City style pizza. It’s the kind that’s a big thin slice that you take with you and eat on the go. I’m a busy man I got place to go and sometimes I want a slice to take with me while I walk to dinner. It’s typical NYC style which means a big skinny oily piece of pizza, and it tastes pretty good. This place is located in the food court at the Metra Station, so don’t expect ambiance. Come for a good slice then get the hell on with you day.

Huge slice and nice crispy bottom. Plenty hot as they throw it in the oven for a minute. Delicious folded of course.

The place was a bit confusing. It’s listed as NYC slices, yet it’s a deli place that sells pizza. Pizza was pretty good but the service was not so pleasant. It took 30 minutes for our pizza to come out, which is longer than usual for regular crust and not much clientele. There were only 2 tables of 2. We were 4, so we took the table for anyone else that walked in, which made it a little awkward. One couple walked in and walked right back out when they saw there was no where to sit. We tried ordering garlic knots and the guy said they ran out… No sorry, nothing! It was obvious he was rushing to get out of there because they close early. We also asked him for parm because the bottle was almost out and he acting as if it were inconveniencing him for doing his job. We wouldn’t mind ordering again, but it has to be either take out or the other branch.

The pizza was shitty and cold when I got it. I asked for my money back and they refused to do anything but replace the shitty pizza with more shitty pizza. I’ll never go back.

Born and raised in NY, moved to Chicago a year ago and our search for that«New York» slice began. Others claimed they had that NY «thin» slice but non came close until we stumbled upon NYCSLICES In a Chicago train station. Yes their slices are a bit over sized but myyyy god that crust was spot on! Perfectly cooked crisp crust that literally made me want to cry. My search for NY pizza outside of NY was finally over. Cheese was fantastic, and we even took white slices(no not just a pizza with no sauce, you actually have to put a blob of fresh RICOTTA Cheese on it!!!) to go and I can’t wait to try them, I know I will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this perfect small spot to any fellow New Yorker!

I’m serious, I have eaten a lot of pizza, but that sausage/peperoni supreme is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The little place is tucked in Ogilvie Transportation Center, but if you are waking by or in the area, you need to come in and check it out. I would get on the train and come down here just to eat at this place, it is fantastic! Be prepared, because one slice of pizza is huge!

First let me say, with NYC in you’re name you should know better than to put chicken on a pizza. I respect that people like different styles of pizza, but chicken on pizza… in Chicago terms, to me, it’s like putting ketchup on a hot dog. So to the reviewers that are angry that they’re out of chicken, go across to Popeyes if you want chicken. Other than that, this place is great! It reminds me of my favorite pizza at the Jersey shore. Thanks for the great slices!

Surprise surprise. I did not expect to love the pizza here, and yet I’m salivating at the thought of another enormous slice of it. I had a groupon and had to wait in a bit of a line, but it moved fast considering the superior efficiency of the staff. I tried the mac n cheese pizza, which was full of cheesy goodness on a both crispy and chewy crust, just the way I like it. My friend who had the BBQ pizza, with what he said was a full chicken breast on it, also was surprised to have liked it so much and he plans to go back for more as well. Good thing we work in the building!

This pizza sucks! … Plain and simple… Flat, lifeless pizza slices that do not look the least bit appetizing and they aren’t! Located in the same space as Sbarro Italian restaurant was… NYC Slices is nothing like a real New York City pizza slice! Try it … you be the judge but to me… bring back Sbarro… If you want a slice of pizza that looks like someone ran over it with your father’s old Oldsmobile… You’ve come to the right place… bring some spices to doctor up this poor rendition of pizza! Sorry but it misses the mark!
