I brought my son into this place for a haircut this past weekend and I must say that it was a very interesting experience. First off, I gotta tell you that this place is definitely not for everyone. Please take note that if you are a parent and you want to get your son a hip, urban cut, you better be prepared for your kid to get a «real» urban experience. The place is actually pretty nice, modern décor, nice size, plenty of comfy seats and several flat screen TVs to keep you entertained. There are about ten to fifteen barber stations here and each station is occupied by a barber, whom all seem to be mostly in their 20’s. Our barber on this day did a great job fading my son’s hair and lining him up. I can’t take anything away from the final product, the barber did his job well. The problem here is that this place is more like a hang out spot than a place to get your haircut.(guys talking sh*t, ball bustin, tons of cursing, and loud hip hop & rap blaring in the background) I mean, I am no means a prude and cuss up a storm when I am angry, but I had to talk to my son afterwards about the, cussin and hip hop blaring in the background. I had to explain that their are all types of music that different people enjoy, and that the music is not necessarily bad, but that right now, he shouldn’t listen to that music on his own because of the swearing and crude topics. Believe me. It is not easy explaining what a b*tches and hoes are to a nine year old, LOL Overall, if you are an adult and need to get your swag on, then this spot is as good as any. If you are a parent and you want to get your son some swag. you might want to try the unisex salon down the street!
