I have been going to Pure Med Spa off and on for several years and have been fairly happy with the results from facial hair, underarm and bikini line. I recently tried to schedule a touch-up appointment and tried calling 3 out of the 4 Chicago are locations to find out the numbers were disconnected. Please be advised the Lincoln Park and Michigan Ave. stores are no longer part of Pure Med and are currently going by Pinnacle Spa(and could be renamed again) . For informational purposes here are the new telephone numbers. Chestnut/N. Michigan Ave location:(312) 867‑9220 Lincoln Park/N. Clark location:(773) 248‑3356 Hoping the quality is the same or better when I go on Saturday for an appointment.

Didn’t have a good experience. I made an appointment based on a friends suggestion. They told me that they were having a special on dysport with a $ 75 refund. After I had the treatment, the women had the nerve to give me an expired rebate offer. When I called her and questioned her, she yelled at me. I have tried to call customer service about this. The first call was very nice, know they arent returning calls. Very unprofessional.

I bought a hair removal package(bikini line and underarm) with Pure Medspa. It was explained to me that the procedure would be a series of 6 treatments spaced 8 weeks apart, and that there were no guarantees of total hair removal. First the success story — my bikini line work was almost perfect. I have minimal growth and I’ll never have to wax again. Thank god. It wasn’t 100% what I asked for but it was close enough. I had no such luck on my underarm treatments. If anything, it seems like I have to shave more now rather than less. This was probably my biggest disappointment. Granted it was pretty much a ‘throw in’ service, but you still want it to work. I can’t say enough good things about Meredith, who did my treatment. She’s very personable and professional, and was a pleasure to work with. I didn’t have experience with any of their other services, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Unlike some med spas, there was no hard sell, and I didn’t see anyone walking around looking freaky after treatments… as I have definitely seen elsewhere.
