I stopped by this place this morning to get breakfast because its never busy, no line, ever. I asked the sales person if they had any vegan dishes or any non-meat breakfast items. She replied no. That’s fine, but I thought she would give me options, like, «I can remove the meat from one of our breakfast items if you like». Not! So, I orders potatoes, just one order. She gave me a huge bag with no top on the potatoes. They all came out of the cup(container) I ask her if she could give me a top or another container that would allow me to close it. She told me no, so I had to make my own concoction with a napkin and rubber band. I see why this place is never busy with service like this, good luck RR, I will never go back.

I want to like Red Robin Burger Works, and I applaud them for their relatively new approach to their restaurants, but there’s just one problem. It’s not the service, 5 stars for that; they were very attentive and competent. Cam was a nice guy and checked in on me a couple times. They clearly prioritized finding decent employees, not just filling shirts. The food was pretty good if not excellent, 4 stars there. The burger was cooked appropriately and they have good menu options. The real problem is the price. Adding fries and a drink is $ 5, so your bill will often be $ 13 – 14 after tax if you eat in. It’s not a fortune, but as nearby places offering a burger with sides for $ 10 it’s hard to justify RR unless you really have to have avocado on your burger.

My first time and I was über underwhelmed. I couldnt have been any more underwhelmed, seriously. I got the Burnin Love burger and some steak fries. OMG the burger was so basic. I would’ve did better at burger king. First, the bun was like uncooked — barely toasted. Then, the meat was barely luke warm — that is, virtually cold — and pink. OMG. The fried jalapeños were too salty and I barely tasted the jalapeño through all that breaded stuff. The chipotle sauce or whatever sauce they base the bun with was way too overwhelming, It just wasn’t the exciting burger it appeared to be up on the board. The customer service was good. The cashier was very friendly and continuously checked in on me during my dine-in experience. Notwithstanding, I’m not going back because the burger was just plain bad. I have actually had better from McDonalds. Sorry guys!

I had a craving for a burger. I liked what I ordered and the staff was friendly. Fries were good and hot. No complaints here!

I like that Red Robin has moved past the sit down mall diner experience and is bringing their pricey but delicious burgers to a more hit and run type of dining experience. I stumbled in here after a morning meeting and was impressed that I could get Red Robin’s food without the cumbersome experience of getting a table and doing the whole food-order song and dance with a server. They’re just as nice when you order at the counter, but order-to-food time is so quick and the food is just as good. I’ve been back a couple times since, and while it’s quiet after the workday it’s pretty busy during the lunch rush. The only reason I won’t go five stars is because it’s still a bit pricey for a well prepared burger and fries. I hope this idea of Red Robin’s sticks around.

Pretty damn good for a chain! Ordered the guacamole bacon burger and onion rings. I thought the burger was very large and tasted good, but would skip the weak guacamole next time. The onion rings were the best part though. Crisp onions that werent over-fried with a big, flakey outside. Burger = 3 stars, Onion Rings = 5, overall =4! Service was very fast and friendly too.

No clue how anyone that has ever eaten at a Red Robin can ever give more than one stars. This is not a Red Robin burger. It is a frozen flat party that is heated up. I should have known when it was $ 7 a bigger. Go to mcdonalds if you want a crap burger do not waste the extra money on this place it is not a real patty.

I’m usually skeptical about getting burgers at big restaurant chains. However, my girlfriend convinced me to check this place out. I ordered the Burnin’ Love Burger(fried jalapeño rings, fire-roasted salsa, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo), and not only was it cooked perfectly, but it was exceptional. Again, I’m normally disappointed by ‘burgers’ at fast food chains, but this Red Robin Burger Works(focuses on making ‘gourmet ’ burgers) was fantastic. I walked in with low expectations, and walked out pleasantly surprised. In conclusion, this Red Robin doesn’t compare to actual local/famous gourmet spots, e.g., Au Cheval, DMK Burger Bar, and etc, but it’s drastically better than other fast food chains!

Disappointing. Something about this place just doesn’t feel like it belongs in Chicago. $ 2.50 for a small portion of fries. $ 6.50 for a bacon burger. Not terrible but there are definitely better lunch deals within walking distance.

The burger I ordered was not cooked well actually was more than pink– manager gave me a gift card to come back. I will update my review at that time. Onion rings were very good

This had to be the worst turkey burger I have ever had it had no seasoning and was a frozen processed patty to begin with. I am very disappointed especially with the amount of money I spent on just the sandwich, it came with no cheese so that was extra no pickle for that extra bite or flavor. For my first meal of the day this was so sad and lacked flavor. I do not recommend this place for burgers.

I came here cause I wanted something greasy for lunch. It was good, not great. Service was quick and good. No problems with the burger. The restaurant was clean and kind of busy for a 145 late lunch run. Got my food without a long wait. Again food was good not great. Might be back.

This place just opened a few months ago and I decided to give it a shot since I walk by so often… this is the first time I’ve been at a Red Robin, so I can’t really say this place is representative of all the other Red Robins. Anyway, the environment is a pretty standard«a little bit more upscale fast food place.» Seems very clean and well kept. Or maybe just because it’s new. I ordered a Bleu Ribbon burger to go and it came out in about 5 minutes as promised. Can’t say I’m terribly impressed: — the bun didn’t seem much better than McDonald’s — the meat patty is pretty thin and charred — the sauce was very meh — the onion straws were pretty greasy and not that crispy — at least there was plenty of blue cheese! I decided to still give it 3 stars since I ate it all and felt pretty satisfied nonetheless. It’s hard to get a burger terribly wrong. P. S. The other thing I liked about them is that the to go bag was a generic brown paper bag with no branding. I’m not a big fan of doing free advertisement for places, especially when I’m already having junk food and feel self-conscious about cheating on my resolution to live healthily.

We finally had a chance to try this place this weekend. We got the Bleu Ribbon and Tavern Double Burger with a side of steak fries. The food is fresh, and the service is fast. The gourmet burgers are definitely worth it because they are humongous! It’s also open on the weekends, so you don’t have to walk far to get a good burger if you live in the city. The downside is that the size of the fries is relatively small in comparison to the price. To that note, I would only eat here again if I was too lazy to go anywhere else.

Hit my second Red Robin«city» location this past Thursday… this one is even closer to my office so I expect to make this one my home location. Not bad. The fries were fine and the burger matched; maybe I’m greedy, but shouldn’t an order of fries at Red Robin come by the bucket, not by the surprisingly-small-cup? The steak fries here are legend but there just aren’t enough of them for $ 2.50. Don’t get beaten by a Super Size fry at McDonald’s! My burger was ok, but the price was good…$ 7.71 for the Tavern Double Patty burger and the order of fries was not too bad(fries were on special since this location recently opened). The real test will come when I come back and do this with a milkshake, but a good start.

I tried Red Robin’s Burger Works today for lunch with a few colleagues. We arrived right at noon and the place was packed already with the line snaking all the way to the door. We managed to snag a table for four with our coats and got in line. The line moved very quickly and within 2 minutes we had already placed our order and were waiting for our food to arrive. The servers brought out our food within minutes with a great positive attitude. I had ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with blue cheese and no tomatoes and got a side of the signature steak fries. See the photo I uploaded. I’d give the burger itself 4 of 5 stars. It was juicy and delicious. As for the rest of the ensemble, it was a little disappointing. The sesame bun fell apart after the first bite and the lettuce was stringy and not very appetizing. Everything was also drenched in mayo and quite a messy thing to eat. The fries, on the other hand, were quite good with the right amount of seasoning. Would I go back? Eh, maybe… maybe not. For $ 10 there are plenty of better lunch options in the Loop. One thing I really disliked was the fact that the interior of the restaurant seemed a little hazy as a result of the fire grilling going on in the kitchen. Four hours later I can still smell the smokiness on my jacket. I give this place 3 stars. It wasn’t good. It wasn’t bad. It just was.

It’s a pretty cool looking place. But when I got my burger it was super soggy. Fries are pretty good too. I mean, it’s a burger place. Better option than McDonalds I guess. Good customer service though. Priscilla was exceptional. Just prepare yourself for soggy buns

I’ve been meaning to stop in since this place opened up. This is Red Robin’s Fast Food spin on their suburban locations and I think it’s a really good idea. The place is clean, looks very nice and the staff here was very friendly. I ordered the Burnin’ Love Burger(Burger Fried Jalapeño Coins * Fire-Roasted Salsa * PepperJack * Crisp Lettuce * Tomato * Chipotle Mayo) — This was very good I also enjoyed their fries. They weren’t amazing or world famous, but they were good! Do note, their prices are higher than listed on their website, and the only reason I didn’t give Reb Robin Burger Works 5 stars is because I felt it was towards the high end(price) for Fast Food.

This is a «reservations only» Red Robin. I know because that’s what the woman just inside the entrance yelled at us when we walked in. There’s no sign or anything on the door/windows saying that it’s reservations only, and when you walk by, it looks open. But apparently you need to know someone(which is how the guy why walked in in front of us got in, based on the hushed conversation between the bouncer woman about the fact that he wasn’t on the list. So yeah. Know someone?
