Warning: WALKINSNOTWELCOMED! Unless you’re buddy — buddy with the barber, don’t expect to be first. I understand appointments, but i waited over 2 hours for a haircut and one of the barbers never finished their clients hair before I left. Details? Ok, but when a client who is practically balled takes 40 minutes to finish his haircut, I question the efficiency of the barbers. There was only one customer in front of me and when all their buddies came in, the customers were pushed off to the side to wait even longer. Customer service? If you’re looking for quality service, AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOST. If you’re looking for a ghetto fab, beer drinking, barber — buddies hangout kinda place, then this is the place for you. This place was my place to go but because they pushed numerous customers aside for their friends, it really made me think, this place is not customer-oriented. Plus the language they use in front of children was very inappropriate. Of course I headed elsewhere to get a haircut, CLIPPERSBARBERSHOP on 47th& Pulaski, the barber there did a phenomenal job, just as detailed, very friendly, and very customer oriented. To top it off, my previous haircut, which I got at ROCKSTARFADES, the lining was off and not even done right. It’s what you get when you have inexperienced barbers I guess. Bottom line, ROCKSTARFADES is a joke. Completely unprofessional, thugish-joint, and if you’re a walk — in client, expect at least 2 hour wait due to the barbers friends. They come first, not walk-ins. It’s ok, places like this won’t last long doing business this way. Wish there was an option of 0 stars, or even half stars. That’s even giving this place a little too much credit.

With a name like Rockstar Fades you know it’s gotta be good. First of all, it’s only 15 bucks for a haircut which is about as cheap as you’ll ever see in the city of Chicago. Second the stylists are super nice and hilarious. Each time I come in I end up sitting around and shooting the shit even after I’m done with my cut. Obviously, its mostly for the dudes so ladies you’ll have to find your own spot to get your Barber Shop on.
