Let me start off by saying I’m Cuban and have lived in Miami almost all my life — this was not a good Cuban cuisine experience. We experienced poor service(waitress got our order wrong) the food lacked seasoning, the mojo wasn’t really Cuban mojo, and the yolks of the fried eggs were nuked(not runny at all). If you want to experience good Cuban food, go to 90 Miles.

I have to give señor pan a 5 star review. I eat here on a regular basis, at least 2 times a week. Everything is great from their sandwiches to their ropa vieja. If you are thinking about trying it out, don’t hesitate your tastebuds will be satisfied.

Ok, Señor Pan means serious business with their Cuban sandwich. It’s juicy and garlic flavored butter was such a great taste. Is it healthy? Seriously, who cares. It’s really good. I’ve had a Cuban sandwhich before like the ones at Café Con Leche which is good. But Señor Pan takes their Cuban to a different level. Same ingredients just excecuted differently. The bread is crunchy but not rock solid. A welcomed texture that doesnt brittle into your hands. The juicy drippings fall on my fried plantain chips adding extra flavor to addicting chips. The Cubsn espresso is strong but the added sugar gives it a sweet tangy feel to it. A quick and tasy pick me up. Dont pass up on the empanadas with a side of chimichurri sauce. My wife had the spinach and cheese empanada. It’s a comfortable little setting and the service was spot on and friendly.

Worst ever! True disappointment and disgrace to the señor pan on Fullerton. It’s not like it’s my first time at this place but it is definitely the last! There over 1.5 hrs 1. Dirty ass menus that people are suppose to use as place mats 2. Took forever to acknowledge we were there so we thought we would be smart and order everything together so they don’t forget to get our order. 3. Never got water 4. Cold café con leche 5-?Ordered apps, 5 sandwiches, and a salad. After like 40 min came cold plantain chips 5 min later came cold fries. 10 min later 3 sandwiches. All eaten up 20 min go by we get drenched in oil over cooked empanadas(apps) 5 more minutes we get the two sandwiches and salad. My sandwich was ropa vieja and everyone knows that ropa vieja is not dried out meat. Actually saw the manager clean a table with a newspaper that a customer left behind smh. We had to ask for silverware then a spoon for the soup. Had to get up to go ask for hot sauce. Got up and got my own straw. After being there that long with no water you think they would come and ask if we needed more drinks. * what makes it worse at the end is the manager came to ask how everything was yet he walked back and forth knowing the service was horrible and never came to apologize. The fact that he had the audacity to even ask still boggles my mind. I told him why ask if he knew the service was garbage bet he regretted asking but said he knew. There is no excuse to get this type of service when half the tables were empty. The fact that I had to ask for my lunch to be removed off the check when I didn’t eat it is just plain stupid. He sure was full of excuses but no solutions on how to properly run or manage this place. He said he can’t help his staff because that’s what he pays them for. He clearly knew that the service was bad but in no way shape or form made up for it. I can understand being short handed but you make up with it with great service and they FAILED!!! I will never go there again so much for staying local and giving business to our community. The server was so checked out and not friendly at all. What can I expect with a manager that fails to lead by example. Rant over!!! Guess I can go make myself something to eat now

I used to go to the other one on Fullerton every Sunday and now we’ve switched over to this one because of the great customer service. The sandwiches are better in my opinion here too. One of my favorite little BYOB’s in the area. Much better than 90 miles or any of the other Cuban places around and better priced too, the only drawback that I find is that you have to pay for parking but it’s not enough of a con to drop a star since the meters are cheap. P. S. order the café con leche more milk than coffee! You won’t regret it

Went there the other day with my brother for his birthday. Food was excellent however during our dinner I dropped the food. It was a super and they said we would have to pay for it because food gets dropped all the time and if the restaurant were to pay for it, it would be costly. Talked to the owner agreed with his opinion and he offered to have me pay for an additional regular as opposed to a super. Only a manner of a couple dollars, but I felt he was very fair in handling the manner and the waitress was on point and timely. Great place for a Cuban, haven’t found a better one in Chicago.

Real good steak sandwich! I actually think this place is the best I’ve tried. Everything is done pretty Dam perfect if you ask me. Man at the cash register was very kind and my order was made very fast. I must try their other dishes.

I locked myself in the bathroom and no one would come to help. I was stuck in there for 10 hours. The cook was at least nice enough to slide some fried plantain chips under the door. For being covered in the fuzz from the floor they were pretty good. Next time maybe I’ll see if they can slide some chicken under the door.

I love this place! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, delicious food. I have never been disappointed with Señor Pan. The Ropa Vieja sandwich is a must! Make sure you add the avocado to it– it’s really the cherry on top of an already amazing sandwich.

Husband and I love coming here for both dining in and take out. The food is DELICIOUS and it doesn’t break the bank! We always start with an order of tostones and end with flan. Their steak salad and lechon are my faveys. Service is wonderful as well.

Been wanting to try this place for quite awhile. Everyone raves about it. Delivery was surprisingly fast. Rice was good. But«fried pork chops»? Dont ever get them! They were more like ham steaks. Tasted like a chunk of lunch me. Very dissappointing Had to order from someone else to satisfy my hunger. Maybe ill give them another shot in house so i know what im getting myself into

Best place for Cuban food. Really tastes like mama’s cooking. I had the salmon special today and was amazing… with a little sweet tang to it. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Let me start by saying I. AM. CUBAN. I am also a foodie who enjoys great… Not good(there’s a difference) food. I can honestly say that this place is legit one of the best Cuban restaurants in the city. I haven’t ventured to try many others but I’m always on the look out for GREAT Cuban eats. Great Cuban sandwiches, café con Leche is awesome and the empanadas are the bomb. Thank you Señor Pan!

At the recommendation of some Cubans, I checked out Señor Pan Café and was glad that I did. Café con leche. Plantanos fritos y frijoles negros. Ropa vieja. Although I have been accustomed to having plantains in my ropa vieja sandwich, there were none in the sandwich at Señor Pan Café. Still the sandwich was outstanding. Ate so much that I had no room for dessert. Will definitely go back.

Their sandwiches are really good and at very reasonable prices. Subway sandwiches are about the same price and have no meat in them! The lechon is my favorite. I was a little disappointed today because I got a milkshake which was soooo watery like it had been sitting there for a while(I think they forgot to give me my food when it was ready) which is why I’m giving them a 4. I paid damn near 4 dollars for a little shake that was more like milk with strawberry flavor added. I ended up throwing it away. I do love ordering lunch from here though.

This place is great!!! Another secret place I have been going to for lunch for a year. True Cuban place with sandwiches and coffee and crowd. Can’t miss it with the Cuban flag outside and in every sandwich. Have brought 4⁄5 people here that are Cuban and they sign off on it to. Get the Cuban and the empanadas

Omg sooo good! My mouth is still watering! Lol I’m sometimes in the area for work and noticed all the Cuban restaurants. I’ve never had Cuban so I was curious. I Unilocaled the best Cuban restaurants. A higher rated one came up, but I decided to go with this one because the price was a little cheaper, it was closer, and it had a lot of good reviews. Not as many reviews as the other one though. Sometimes you don’t want the hype places because it’s too crowded. Well this place was perfect, found parking right outside and went in during lunch which wasn’t crowded. I decided to get the Cubano sandwich made with ham, pork roast(so tender), swiss(my fav), with pickles and mustard. It all came together so well. It also came with homemade plantain chips. .soooo good. They were very thin, light and crispy. Also, not too salty, they put the perfect amount of salt. The whole staff was really nice too! Service was so quick! Clean bathrooms is a plus. Now I have a place to look forward to while in the area. Can’t wait to try some of their other menu itmes. Very good!

I’ve been to their first location on Fullerton and Cicero, but this one is the friendliest and more intimate of the two. The food is on point on authenticity. I’m here with a close friend that’s from Cuba and she agrees that this is very typical to food found at home. The prices are just right and pretty much everything in their menu is somewhere between great and delicious. The staff is very attentive, even when crowded as it is today. I would have gone five stars, but we got a little push back when my wife asked for a sandwich that was half one thing and half something else. The waitress asked and they accommodated her request. Check this place out if your in the neighborhood. A little taste a Cuba in Chicago. Oh, two more little tid bits. Get their coffee and make sure to pay the conga on your way out.

This little haven of Habana, this trove of delicacies is quite a little gem on the North Avenue strip of grocery stores and hipster hangouts. You’ll have to get here on the off lunch hours if you hope to find a seat. I recently patronized this establishment with a friend who was showing me around the neighborhood. She’s been a cornucopia of information and spots to hit and Unilocal about. This one is quite economical and quite good. The servers are also very helpful and courteous, always a plus, because it is easier to be kind to the servers when their natural disposition is to be kind right back. You will find some staples of the Cuban regiment of foods and some Americanizations like breadless sandwiches converted to salads for the carb counter. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and the lunch specials are totally worth it. Just pair it up with your favorite Caribbean drink for a filling meal if you’re on a time schedule. They served us relatively fast given it was the lunch hour. If you’re in this neck of the woods drop by and fill up on the grub.

Boy and I wanted to explore his new neighborhood, so we stopped by Señor Pan for lunch. I ordered the ropa veja sandwich(super flavorful, a bit stringy, even better with some hot sauce) and he ordered a split sandwich of cubano and bistec(kind of bland and boring). The fried chips were a nice touch. Too bad they close at 9PM. This would be a great late night spot for him! Also, great customer service. As complete noobs to Cuban food, the server was very patient when explaining all the ingredients. Also, when we came back for the boy’s phone, they had it behind the counter. Thanks!
