Simple Laboratories

I love simple labs. Virginia at the front desk is great. I am in and out in 5 minutes. Plus they have never had a problem getting a vain on my 14 year old son. I hope we don’t have to keep going back, but if we do, I will go to simple labs.

This place is a mess.
It’s a nice, clean lab and the receptionist is friendly, but this place is insane to deal with.
Problem 1: They fail at drawing blood. I went in one day, and they couldn’t draw blood from the woman ahead of me because her veins were too deep. Two different techs had tried. I also have deep veins, so I got a little worried even though it has rarely been a problem for me when getting blood work done. Sure enough, despite the fact that I was plenty hydrated, neither of the techs could draw my blood. They asked if I could come back tomorrow when a more experienced tech would be in. I was irritated, but willing to do it because it’s close by.
I returned the second day. The tech struggled and complained about my deep veins, but actually managed to finally collect the lone vial of blood I needed.
Problem 2: It’s been NEARLY A MONTH, and I still don’t have my results. They said it would take 3 – 5 days because they couldn’t run the test in-​house. They either took forever to run the test, or they never sent my doctor the results. Either scenario is unacceptable. My doctor had to call them to get them to send the test results. They are supposedly sending them today, but I’m not holding my breath.
I know everyone has their horror stories with LabCorp and Quest, but don’t even bother with this place.
