State Street Dental

I don’t write reviews often, but felt I had to share… I usually hate the dentist… but was pleasantly surprised!!! Great service and easy to get to (if you can get on a train, you can get there… Redline stop in front and the rest in the back) If you drive there are tons of parking around (lots and spaces other streets) and you can make a shopping trip down town or go to the museum while you head down there… or if you work in the loop, even better! Amazing office, all redone and a great staff. Highly recommended!!!

Hadn’t been to a dentist in… well, in way too long. Dr. Youn and her assistant were very warm and professional, while still detailing the work I needed done clearly and concisely. Returned four days later for some fillings and to have a broken retainer removed and was able to have everything I needed done completed during my lunch break. The office manager is super sweet and the office itself is beautiful and relaxing. Also love the ability to schedule on Zocdoc and receive reminders.
I’ll be back every six months instead of every… you don’t want to know. Thanks, Dr. Youn and Co!

I highly recommend this dentist and office. I’ve had a good share of dental work (not by my own doing I’d like to add… I thank my family for my 7 wisdom teeth), and I’ve worked in a dental office in my younger days for 2 years. So far, this is the best dentist I’ve ever had.
Dr. Youn’s office is a wonderful mix of vintage and modern. The location is a bit tricky to find. There’s a small door to the right of the Subway shop and you’ll need to buzz them to be let in. The office is well decorated and it’s almost as if you’re in someone’s fancy apartment, except not in the creepy way.
I am very impressed with the ease in booking appointments, filling out forms (they are all electronic), and getting reminders both a week before, a day before, and an hour and half before. If you want to opt out of all of these, that’s easy as well.
Dr. Youn herself has excellent bedside manner, is personable and responds very well to how her patients are doing. Ask her anything and she’ll explain it calmly and kindly. If you need things in more layman terms, just ask. She is prompt too! Now I’ve had mostly morning appointments so perhaps this is why but since check in is a breeze, you’re left with time to get the actual procedure done. I had my initial consultation and cleaning in about 35 mins and she filled 3 cavities, 2 minor and 1 was deeper, in 45 mins tops. I was out earlier than I expected. I only wish she had a panoramic x-​ray but I’m sure that’s a pretty penny. I’ve had no billing issues so far. Check this dentist out!

I’m not a big fan of going to the dentist in general. That being said, this was by far the most pleasant, even enjoyable, dentist appointment I have ever had.
The offices are brand new and gorgeous. Each room has a TV with Netflix/​Pandora in it. Dr. Youn was professional and informative. She did find one cavity, but instead of scolding me or making me feel bad about it, she just explained to me that it was a common place to develop problems. It took her all of 15 minutes to fix. I expressed interest in getting a night guard since I grind my teeth. She presented me with some options, and wasn’t pushy at all.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely go back.
