It’s a nice little Mexican bakery. Cash only. It’s authentic and reminds of tons of bakeries on the south side. Wide variety of a lot of favorites. They even have empanadas though the guava sell so quickly. Like most bakeries, come early to get fresh bread. Very affordable, most breads range from $ 0.60 to 1.00 with a few more pricy. If you rarely do Mexican pastries or don’t know very many, try a concha or a banana (which is just a reference to the shape not the flavor). I didn’t try their tres leches or flan but they looked good.

I don’t appreciate a business that doesn’t honor the operating hours they advertise. I drove 25 minutes to this bakery because of the awesome reviews given, making sure it was still open (according to their business hours it closes at 9pm) Got there at 7pm and the place was closed! I saw a lady in there so I knocked on the window, she just shook her hair saying no! No what lady? The door had the business hours on it and it also said closes at 9pm. It’s upsetting, waste of time for me. I would give this place 0 stars if I could since no service was given. I’ll just always wonder what this delicious bread tastes like (according to reviews) since I will not be returning here ever again!

This place will put Starbucks to SHAME!!!
Whatever pastries they have, they are delicious. I am no expert in Mexican pastries, but they are in average 60 cents/​ea. I will eat them, gladly!
They also have Mexican drinks they made and placed them in the cases. My primary mission was to get bread; I will have to try other items next time. This place is tiny and they didn’t waste any space merchandizing for real.
Please note that they only accept cash, no personal checks, debit, or credit cards.

The bread is homemade and reminds me of Mexico.
I would suggest going early or the quality isn’t as good and fresh.
. Im just happy to have a place by my place. They also have 3 leches cakes on hand. Havent tried those yet. Prices are cheap.

Don’t pay attention to reviews that focuses on tres leches alone.
Excellent, fresh baked goods. For the cost of a scone down the road at Starbucks you can get a whole bag of freshly baked goodies here.

I used to live in the neighborhood, went here all the time. Good Mexican treats that are super Cheap! Buy a whole bag, you’ll be glad you did.

Agree with E.V. on the tres leches.
If my cake was in human form, it would be the equivalent of having the upper body of Ben Stein and lower body of Gabriel Iglesias. The milk in my cake pooled only in the bottom, and the top half was pretty much deadpan pound cake.
But not bad for $ 2 slice.

This small Mexican bakery offers bolillos (oval baguettes), cookies, sweet rolls, butter & sugar bread, baked fruit empanadas, flan, other refrigerated desserts, and drinks. Taximaroa also does birthday and special occasions cakes.
I purchased a slice of their tres leches cake, which was just o.k. It didn’t have the light and airy texture and eggy flavor that I like in tres leches cakes. It was too dense and tasted like they put cornmeal in it. There are other bakeries in the neighborhood that have better tres leches cake, but go here for their other baked goods.

This bakery features its tres leches cake, which is even depicted in its picture windows. The tres leches is good, but I’ve had better. They also have many of the treats you will find at a typical Mexican bakery, like conchas, and fattening sweet rolls with fillings like pineapple, guava and sweet potato.
