This place is a complete joke. They have downtown prices for the worst liquor selection, idiot management, and overzealous and aggressive bouncers. I would have never gone to this douchebag place if it wasn’t for my friends bachelorette party. My friend had three bouncers barge into the bathroom stall while she was using the toilet while another one filmed her with a video camera. After I complained and said that it was a violation of rights and that they would be held liable, I was kicked out. But not just kicked out, shoved and pushed by the aggressive manager/bouncer on a much needed power trip. When I defended myself, the«sorry I’m an old ass man and still work at a lame bar» manager/bouncer had me arrested. This was at 10pm, only an hour after we arrived and completely sober.

Had an amazing time!!! Even though this isn’t my cup of tea, people watching and the show was soooo worth it. Divorce parties, 21 legal age parties and bridal showers!!! Oh yeah!!!

Don’t give them your ID. They gave mine to some random person and never apologized or offered to help in tracking it down.

I’m giving five stars because it allowed me to feel like I was back in college without being in college. It had a large dance floor and the random array of kitchen appliances around the bar made for a good laugh. I love when I’m able to visit a bar I am completely unsure about and enjoy it. The apartment gave me that.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times and always had fun. Drinks are reasonably priced and the crowd is pretty fun. This last weekend I went with a bachelorette party and saw Men the Show before we stayed and danced at the club. The show was excellent, the dancers were friendly, and the music was great. I would definitely recommend it for bachelorette or birthday parties!

The Apartment is hands-down my favorite no-nonsense bar and dance club that is close to home and not pretentious. The music is ALWAYS good when you’re in need of a night to let loose and dance all night. I’ve had my birthday party here two years in a row, both in the VIP section that’s raised to the left of the dance floor. Both years have been extraordinary experiences with this past November going over the top. I reserved the spot over the phone a month in advance(much to the manager’s amusement) and he was there for my party the entire night. Anytime we wanted more mixers, another bottle, or there were people in our section that I didn’t know, him and his security team was completely on top of it. When most of my party showed up after we had opened our first two bottles, he even brought out extra sparklers with the other bottles so everyone could have the full effect. I am still so grateful for the amazing service we received. I had everyone in my party put money towards or four bottle minimum(which totaled about $ 800 with tax, much cheaper than anywhere downtown) and I appreciated that our group had our own security guards making sure that no one got into our area that didn’t belong. It really took all the stress out of being a hostess. The service of the management team, combined with the decent lighting, questionably amusing go-go dancers, sound machine and stripper pole(that I convince my roommate to work every time) makes this the best local dance club in the area. Keep in mind that it’s mostly DePaul kids that show up every weekend. At 24-years-old, I’m beginning to feel my age a bit when every cool guy I meet is three years younger then me and a «business major». But I still manage to have a good time, especially when I have a whole section for just myself and 20 – 30 of my closest friends.

— Uhm, I don’t know what people are talking about, this place is awe-to-the-some. Granted, I’m 3 sheets to the wind whenever my friends and I get here… but who comes here before midnight anyway? This is where you go to AFTER getting shitfaced. — Music here is fantastic. DJ should go help Max Bar next door. — home special shots tastes SO good. — I’ve never walked into any problems, except for continually being asked to get off the ‘VIP’ couches(or so the story was told). I think one time, some guy grinded the ass skin off my jeans and gave me an unwelcomed frenchie(ick!!!), but that’s about it. — Tons of professional men lurking in corners and awkwardly dancing with [younger] girls on the dance floor. — Dance on the stripper poles. Dance, monkey, dance! — When it gets dark and the seizure-evoking strobe lights start, that’s when you know it’s about to go down. IDSK. IDSK. IDSK. IDSK. IDSK.

After a dissapointing stripper at my home we needed to take my sister out. We ditched her bachelorette party at my house.(The b/friends got there early so we left, we didn’t really know the other pple coming so w/ever, my family would be there, so they would be fine.) ANYWAYS… First time there, We got there late, but the male dancers were okay. One of them was great! He was hot and just awesome! That isn’t the one I liked though. I wish I remembered there names. All the guys are super friendly and pay attention to everyone and I had my fave, we had him around most of the night. He was great. They had great moves and strong and there was one that looked like he was still a baby but he was strong too. We enjoyed it. I’m going to go try somewhere else, but I will be back just for him. I got a dance and a t-shirt for ten bucks.

6 drinks deep, after midnight, and just wanna dance? No cover? Go go dancers and stripper poles? I’m not big into clubs, but this place changed my perspective on that. I didn’t know what to expect when I journeyed up the stairs for the first time, but I was pleasantly surprised. Simply put, no cover dance club. Good times.

Man they wouldn’t let my boy dance on the stripper pole because they don’t want guys dancing on the pole. Dude this is 2014, wtf?

I haven’t gone out for drinks in Lincoln Park in a while and have heard of the Apartment. I came here last night with a bunch of friends for a bachelorette party. We came for the male show and I must say, it did NOT disappoint! I wasn’t expecting much, but I found myself having a great time! I wasn’t feeling well so I didn’t partake in the drinks, but they were offering $ 20 for 6 drink tickets which seemed like a good deal. If you’re looking to come here for a bachelorette party, I highly recommend getting tickets for a reserved section! About 6 couches and one queen/king sized bed to fit a huge party of people. Although we had to rearrange the furniture to get a better view of the stage, I had fun screaming and laughing my ass off. Only $ 5 to get a lap dance on the stage! $ 10 for a souvenir t shirt. Good for a bachlorette party, birthday party or a divorce party! Remember to bring your dolla dolla bills ladies.

I came here for a musical/parody(Cuff Me: 50 Shades of Grey) last weekend. The place is located on the top floor of Lion Head Pub. I can only speak on the setup for the event I went to, so I’m not sure how it’s normally set up. The space is large and there’s a full bar situated on the right hand side and there were high top tables and waiter/ess service. Our waitress was nice, no complaints. The menu was funny! and definitely befitting for the show! The drink prices were acceptable for the neighborhood. I don’t hang out in this area too often, but I’d be open to checking out the venue again. It seemed like a good space for small shows and events.

OK I’m an old fart that came here as a stop for my BFF’s bachlorette party. Honestly I was not expecting much this was my old stomping ground a decade ago. This time we came to dance and not for the drink specials. I will have to say that Jeff(I think that’s what the manager’s name is) hooked it up. He set us up in the VIP area with 2 complimentary bottles of champagne. The music was great. top 40’s, hip hop and edm. Really good music that kept us dancing all night long. We got there at 11 and it didn’t start getting crowded til after midnight. The only thing I wish was there was a bar much closer to the VIP section or a server that came to our area. It was a pain walking to the bar and getting our own drinks especially when it was crowded. We would of gladly gotten a bottle but no one ever came and checked on us. Yes, the bed is still there.

The manager did not make us feel welcome. Was here for my bachelorette party. I was accused of touching the ice of an ice sculpture shot, which I did not. Manager with long dark curly hair was a complete jag and could have handled the situation much differently. All 15 of us left after 10 minutes. Boo to you. Don’t plan on seeing us again.

Reviewing this place on a Thursday night. From 10:30pm-11:30pm it is completely dead. The crowd is fun. It’s a college crowd which is normal since this is nearby DePaul university. The drinks are strong and cheap! *bingo* $ 3 for a gin and tonic which would easily cost me about $ 8 at some other stupid place. Around midnight people start pouring in from the bar downstairs. No cover. The dj isn’t that bad. The night I went he began off with a lot of 90s hip hop and other classic songs. I was diggin it. I would definitely come back here for drinks and plain fun.

Great concept! Bro bar below and good tunes in the Apartment. My favorite no cover place to go int he Lincoln Park area. I always have an awesome time here! Great music. It is NOT a formal club like the ones downtown. Just a great place to get your dance on with friends and if your single there are many ladies! Drink prices are fair and the crowd is on the younger side FYI. Good times!

So when my classmates feel the need to get drunk for cheap on a Thursday, they end up here. It’s never busy those days and no strict dress code. Everyone downs they 2 dollar well drinks and then jumps on the raised platform on the dance floor. The DJ spins some good tunes, but when I’m drunk it’s not hard to get me dancing. It’s not the most exciting scene on Thursdays, but if you and your crew want to take over the dance floor, this is a good spot.

So, I’m torn. I was at The Apartment for a function that started in the afternoon and it was a good experience. The space looked good, definitely enough room to dance, the bartender was prompt and cordial… no complaints. But see, I’ve also been to The Apartment on a weekend. After midnight. When 60% of the clientele look like they use a fake ID. When glittery eyed undergrad students jump up on the pole to practice their Plan B. When it reeks of beer and regret. Ok, maybe that Plan B line was uncalled for. But I’m using it to make the point of why I am so torn! I came to this place under two totally different circumstances and got two totally different experiences. Which is more indicative of a typical time at The Apartment? I don’t know, but three stars seems fair enough. I’ve been to worse… John Barleycorn is just down the street.

As my birthday week celebrations continued, a bunch of youngins convinced this mature lady to go dancing. OK, I’ll bite. Really had no idea what people wear to these places any more. No biggie, I was dressed business casual with some peep hole into my cleavage and seemed to fit right in. This was my first time here but I hear from my friends that it’s nicer than it used to be and the TV flashing«Newly Remodeled» confirmed their thoughts. The bouncer was sweet to request to see my ID at my ripe old age and then wished me a happy birthday which started an onslaught of birthday wishes from people standing around to get in. Bartender nailed my Tokyo Tea but after being teased with my girlie drink, I had to step it up and trade in for a Long Island. She was fast and drinks were dead on. After loosing count of all those Long Islands, we were gently reminded that the bar was closed. It much later than 2 am so we made our way out but definitely not done yet. It’s too bad it’s not a 4am joint since it’s so nice! The music was fun for those who like Kiss FM or B96(I happen to like it). The crowd is definitely 20s and maybe barely 30s but everyone is so eager to have fun! Dancing everywhere, jumping on beds, lounging on couches. Some may find it a bit OBNOXIOUS but I found it exhilarating and fun! I’m definitely going back! Note, there’s coat check downstairs. Have no idea what’s down there since we were chained to the bed upstairs.
