Came here once but had to come back due to some stealing my laundry that i left unintended for bit while i step out front, i had spoken to the workers and told me they couldn’t help me but they gave me they’re supervisors number to contact him. So i did, and he told me he would look at the cameras and give me a call back. I never got a call back till i called him back again, and he told me he was about to look at the cameras. Then he calls back telling me it was a regular customer and that he would confront that regular customer. Its been about 2 – 3 weeks and i haven’t heard anything. This supervisor needs be replaced, even the workers don’t approve of his methods.

Great neighborhood laundry mat. Always clean; washers and dryers work great. If you happen to be there on a Sunday or Monday, say Hi to Tony. He is the BEST employee they have.

The people who work here are very nice. The lady said the last wash was at 10:30 but let me come in because I explained that I’ll dry at home. (My washer will be replaced this week, phew.)

A couple of weeks ago, after over 2 weeks of the dryer being busted in my apartment, I had to give in and take my clothes in to be washed as I was leaving the next day for vacation. Even though they had received a HUGE load for their drop off service before I got there, when I told her I would need to take my clothes elsewhere as I needed them that day, she said she would make sure they were completed by 4:00 PM. Excellent job as my clothes were all nicely folded when I picked them up later that afternoon.
5 stars is for the fantastic customer service but also for the great job they did.

The manager called me ½ hour after I posted this negative review and promised to rectify my situation. Wow! That’s service. The power of Unilocal lives on!

I thought this place was great, and then the last time I brought my wash for drop off, they lost a whole load of clothes! While I understand that could happen, their lack of attention and retribution was totally unacceptable. I stopped by twice, called multiple times, and was constantly told that I would get a call back, and — nothing. Total lack of any sense of responsibility or customer service.

Hey! The friendly wash is awesome! If you go there on a weekday there are never many people. And the place: s always impeccably clean! I like not having to lug around coins. The card system is awesome… Oh and the washing machines only take 16 minutes and the driers 40. Its pretty much laundry heaven!

I have yet to find a laundromat that I actually enjoy going to. For that to happen, they’d have to serve cheap beer and cupcakes, and have an assortment of arcade games that actually work (like the laundromats of the 1980s). A laundro-​gym is another possibility I could dig.
I go to Friendly Wash out of necessity – not because I want to. They don’t have a liquor license, or cupcakes baking in back. They don’t even have arcade games. :(They do have wifi, which makes up for not having Pac-​Man or Frogger.
Note to management: To make visiting your establishment more tolerable, please fix the front doors. Is there really no one in Chicago that can repair your automatic doors? Having to pry them open while carrying heavy bags of laundry, or every time I go to my car, is very inconvenient. Also, please ask your staff to clean the insides of the machines once in a while. Though I appreciate being provided a washcloth to wipe away the pubic hair and dollar store detergent powder from the drum, I’d rather be spared the task. Thank you for keeping the rest of the place pretty spiffy.
The employees are very helpful and friendly. The male laundry attendant (John? Johnny? The slender man with blonde hair.) is very welcoming, despite being busy sweeping floors or folding laundry. :)

Out of my way and totally overcrowded this morning but very clean!

kind of pricey but all machines are new and efficient. Machines only operate off a card system which is kind of lame. 3 stars for that.

What can I say? Very clean, plenty of washers and dryer to choose from, flat screen tv’s that you can change channels (if you ask the attendant nicely), free coffee, very reasonably priced, ample folding space and plenty of chairs to sit on while your clothes tumble dry.

Clean facility and helpful staff. Will recommend.

I’ve been going there for a couple of years. Nice and clean, friendly staff and reasonably priced in my opinion. The card also builds up points and you win $ 25 every 2500 points.

Love this place! Lots of machines of varying sizes, clean and friendly. The only issue I had with them was their limited hours, but I just called them and they are now open 24 hours! Score!

Kurt P. is right, it is a laundromat, that is clean and efficient. For me, however, it goes a little further than that.
One of my favorite services they offer is a fluff and fold for 99¢/ lb., which in my opinion is a really reasonable rate, especially since the service is as the name suggests, friendly. The clothes always come back as clean as whistle, folded and separated by category, and the staff has always helped me get myself back together for the trek home, since I have no car, and also little time to do laundry which means I bring in quite a bit all at once.
For someone like me who hates grabbing quarters and running up and down stairs with baskets full of clothes, or worse yet, dragging all my husband’s and my laundry over to a laundromat to sit and watch it for hours, this is an excellent option in my opinion, and a great location to take advantage of it.
They even have a rewards program that reimburses you a little every time you spend your money there, so the more you wash your clothes there, the less you pay for getting them done. Since laundry is one of those things that has to get done in life, why not do so in an inexpensive, clean and friendly environment?

The prices are reasonable, the machines are generally available, and the space is clean.
