Great local bar with incredible food. I’ve had almost everything on their menu, and I have never once been disappointed. The THT burger and the Chicken sandwich are my two favorites. Make sure to always get your fries upgraded to THT fries.

THT Burger was DYNAMITE! They only had one bartender and one waitress on a saturday night at 7 which was bad because this place was packed. The THT fries were really good too definitely order those. The beer selection was on point and the food was piping hot and flavorful. We even sat at the big table by the kitchen and it was well blocked off so we didn’t feel squished into the bustle of the chefs at work. The cookie skillet was delicious was super thin-I’d like it if the restaurant would put a little more cookie in there and less whip cream.

The Harding is right on the corner near where we live, and while I wasn’t that impressed when I first went, it’s really grown on me the more I’ve gone. It’s got a solid beer list, the burgers are as good as the hype(although it’s unlucky in that it has to compete with the even more impressive one at Parts and Labor just a few doors down), and the service has really improved. It’s still a really small space, but the outdoor seating helps when winter’s over. Now, if they could just make the Chicago Dog Burger and the Chicken Caesar Burger permanent menu items…

Uggghhhhhhhhhh This place is so close to our house, but every time I’ve been here there is a major issue. The first time I ordered a salad and it came out with a dead bug in it. Okay no worries, things happen… round two. Ordered a burger and asked to add avocado on the top. The waitress says, «oh we don’t have avocado». I looked at the menu and pointed to two items that had avocado on them. She says(full of attitude), «well, I can ask the kitchen if they can add it but it will cost extra». To which I replied, sure no worries I’ll pay extra. She brings my burger and says«the kitchen couldn’t add avocado, they need it for the chicken sandwich.» And then she gave me this shitty look. C – ty c – ty c – t face(rhymes with runty runty runt face)

Still a great place to come for a quality burger. The THT burger especially is delicious. Fair warning: a lot of the burgers do not come with fries, so you may want to order them a la carte if you’re really hungry. They have a long list of beers and a few ciders here(and they serve some local brewery options, which is cool), but if you’re a wine drinker, definitely go elsewhere. It’s basically a choice of one red and one white. Cocktails are pretty much the usual fair. Wait staff is hit or miss. I’ve had the full range from straight-up incompetent to delightfully helpful(the former being the outlier), and the bar tender is pretty friendly if you like sitting at the bar. Gotta say I was absolutely heartbroken when they took crème brûlée off the dessert menu. It was really outstanding. Even more disappointed when I was there last time and they didn’t have a «dessert of the day» at all, like their menu and chalkboard suggest. My group and I ordered the cookie skillet instead(one person couldn’t partake because of nut allergies. Bummer.). This might be my faulty memory at work here, but I could have sworn the cookie skillet used to be served in an actual, y’know, skillet. And larger. But I might be confusing it with a different restaurant. So all-in-all, it was moderate size, and kind of soggy buried under the ice cream(which some people love, so that’s definitely a matter of taste). All in all, pretty disappointed with the dessert.

The Harding Tavern is a solid neighborhood spot for good drinks and quality bar food, with a friendly staff and good music. Stop by before or after a trip to the Logan, or settle in for a few rounds of beer and booze. There are options aplenty. There is a high quality selection of microbrews on tap, another 40 bottles of beer, and, for my noble bourbon boozers — 20 – 30 bourbon, rye, and scotch offerings. Chartreuse, absinthe, and a few amaros(if I recall correctly), are also available for cocktails. To soak up the booze, get the classic burger — its one of my favorites in Chicago. The fries are thin cut and tasty, and I believe their pickle is pickled in house. Additionally, if you are here for a late brunch, check out the Aspen omelet, it is solid. If you are looking to watch the game in Logan Square, in particular the Bears, you can see it here, with sound on. If the games are on mute there is usually a good mix of alt rock playing from Pandora/Spotify/whatevs. The only downside is the size and layout — its a small, narrow space, and almost all tables are high tops, aside from a communal table in front of the open kitchen. However, you can eat at the bar. Additionally, they do have outdoor seating in the summer.

I got the panzanella salad to go. It cost me $ 12, was small for the price/contents(didn’t even have meat protein), and was so doused in dressing it was barely enjoyable. All the greens were saturated and soggy. I had thus far avoided this place even though it’s around the corner from my house because it just has a real douchey sports bar vibe, but since I was desperate and in a pinch I tried it, and it confirmed all my reasons for avoiding it.

Monday night disaster. The service is terrible when a certain bartender works. Second time I tried the fish and chips. First time, I got violently sick. Second time, the batter was undercooked. I was offered a dessert for compensation. The bartender practically called me a liar. I wanted to eat a meal not dessert. I asked for the manager who was not there and the server was $ 3 short from my change. That’s shady. Daytime staff is much better and no problems with food or service.

I really enjoy THT it’s a great place to start the night if you’re going to a little bar hopping, I always enjoy the food, except for the Thai wings which weren’t bad just not s lot of flavor in my opinion, but the bartender(Santana I believe, I could be very wrong here) took them back, and didn’t charge us! Would’ve paid for them, but that was very cool of him. They also have a great drink and Cocktail selection and holiday special. I even stopped in and watched the bears game on thanksgiving!

I was in town visiting. We had friends suggest this neighborhood and walked by and decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered the THT Burger w/Fried Egg. Yum!!! It was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The french fries were crispy and delicious, too. Kimberly, the waitress kept the beers coming, too. Hey, we we’re on vacation. It’s alright to get a bit day drunk right? Cool vibe. Good Beer Selection. Awesome Service. And at a decent price.

Don’t go here. There is so many better places to eat in Logan square. The cocktails were just alright and the food; I really don’t get all the positive stars on the food. The THT burger was disgusting and nothing spectacular, the Scorpion wings were too hot and there was no soothing kick to mellow it out after the harsh bite, and the THT fries were shoestring fries that tasted like nothing with a bunch of bland sauce on top of it. I will not be returning. Check out Billy Sundays if you want a GREAT cocktail and check out Longman & Eagle for much better food and burgers, plus world-renowned whiskey drinks PS– This place only got 2 stars because the bartender was attentive, or else it would be a .5 star, if that was possible.

Boyfriend and I ordered the THT burger for pick up and for $ 12 something & we were NOT impressed. I asked the girl behind the bar whom I placed my order with to please cut it in half and until I got home I noticed that didn’t happen. We wanted a little snack before eating at my moms for dinner so we thought sharing the burger with fries would be ok but nooooo. I literally felt like I was eating a whopper Jr… The fries weren’t all that great to be honest but the burger wasnt bad, reason for the 2 stars. Prob won’t be back.

The Harding Tavern is a great place to grab a bite before you see a movie at the Logan Theater. That is, if you’re looking for a burger and fries. It’s a cozy space and it was packed for a tuesday night. The waitress completed the hipster atmosphere, looking like Adele, with brown hair, bangs, and circular-framed eyewear. She was super friendly and handled the tables very well. She was clear on wait times, only I found it difficult to seek somewhere to stand and wait where I wasn’t in her way or anyone else’s. I had the THT burger with fries that I shared with my dinner companion. The fries are the perfect crispy shell, width, and an almost creamy mashed potato inside. Perfect for dipping in sauce, but I didn’t want to look like a pig in front of my friend, so I just used the catsup. I really wanted mayo or ranch for dipping my burger and fries. My burger was excellent, with arugula, brie, and bacon. They weren’t stingy on the bacon, but it had a tendency to push its way out of the bun if you didn’t squeeze it enough. I wish it had come on a pretzel bun. Randomly, this night there happened to be some kind of raffle going on and everyone was told to fill out a ticket. I won a micro cask, made by Mt. Gay rum. It was funny to me because I had no idea what it was when they handed it to me and I debated asking the other winners if they wanted to switch for the hoodies they got. I only saw the male winner, and I didn’t want to offend my dinner companion by flirting my way into a trade for that hoodie. Alcohol orders jack up the price of every meal. The bill came back at $ 75. I had 2 beers and a burger. My friend I think had 4 beers. I didn’t bother to check how much they were charging per glass. Most people consider that a pretty good deal. I liked how they had sports games on, but the volume on all the TV’s were muted. I don’t know if I’ll be back, but it’s definitely a cute little spot to grab a burger and chill.

Awesome neighborhood bar with food and sweet action beer. I got the steak frites w a side salad and it did me right. I feel good. Clean place lots of locals it seems, good vibes. I’m glad to be in this neighborhood cuz I find places like this that everyone has known about for EVAH but I don’t know at all. Former customer met me here for dinner, super tasty beers and food while I begged him to keep working with me. I feel like real progress was made, bartender was helpful and commented on how I must like cream ales. I do. I like cream ales. What fun. Kinda small, probably fits around 150 max. Three or four tvs playing that college sports stuff everyone likes, I noticed the bartender was wearing a Duke T shirt. Damn son if I went to Duke and worked at a bar I might reconsider my life choices. After I left I smoked crack in an alley and stole a car. Fries were delish, no pool tables.

I wanted to like this place but it was very meh. Yeah, it’s a standard bar with standard offerings and not much frill… and there are TVs… but there are quite a few better options in the area. I hope this place finds itself, because it’s a cool space, but if it doesn’t, I doubt it will be a long-timer in food & drink snobby Logan Square.

Great food and a good selection of beer. The prices aren’t anything special, but the fries are interesting. However, this place is super duper tiny. If you can find a table here, you should probably play the lottery because you are incredibly lucky. It’s also not that great for watching a game due to the small number of TVs.

Harding Tavern fills the Logan Square need for a pub/bar type of venue with a relaxed atmosphere and good food. It’s not a sports bar — which are scarce in the Logan Square area. It’s a standard pub vibe with outdoor patio seating and a pretty good menu for a bar. I’ve only had beer there so I can’t speak for their cocktails, but their beer selection is pretty good and is on par with what you’ll find in this neighborhood. The food is prepared well and they’ve got great options for brunch, lunch, or dinner — definitely better than what you’d expect to see in standard bar fare. I’ve been a couple of times — once for dinner and once for lunch. The chicken caesar burger was fantastic! It’s not a grilled chicken breast, but a burger patty made of ground chicken and packed with amazing flavor. The presentation is nice and the burger comes stacked high. I can’t remember if the burgers automatically come with a side but we definitely shared a side of the classic fries and they were great. My husband got the skirt steak entrée and was very pleased with the preparation and quality of the steak. For lunch I ordered the croissant sandwich and my husband got the chicken caesar wrap. Both were done well and very tasty. Service is friendly and prompt and they were great about accommodating our newborn in his stroller when they sat us outside for lunch. There’s nothing that particularly stands out with the Harding Tavern but it’s close to our house and I can see us popping in anytime we feel like a quick bite in walking distance or want to grab a beer.

This place is delicious! I had the THT burger no cheese or aioli, the fries and the Around the Bend beer on draft. Everything was great. I love the brioche bun for the burger and the fries were crispy and delicious. My friend and I brought our dogs and sat outside. The staff was really friendly and brought the dogs water and treats. Definitely a lively crowd and seems like a great place to catch up, grab some drinks and food. This place is great for people watching and groups. I’ll be back!

I’ve been here twice now — once just for drinks at the bar(the bartender was great — super friendly) and last night for dinner during a break my boyfriend and I took while moving all my stuff from my apartment to another. The beer selection is good and the food is fantastic. We started with an order of the thai style chicken wings — for some reason I thought that these were going to be generic ‘asian-style’ chicken wings coated in some sweet and slighty spicy brown sauce(you know what I’m talking about, you can get this style at nearly any place that serves average chicken wings alongside basic american fare like burgers and sandwiches). What came out was SOMUCHBETTER than that —(a albeit smaller order — but hey it was listed as an app, so it was appropriately sized; our american appetites are just used to gullet busting portions) fried chicken wings coated in a delicious green thai curry sauce, pretty spicy with a sweetness to it that balanced the whole thing out. So good. I could have had a couple orders of just the wings for my entrée. We also had two burgers(mine was the Tex Mex and definitely the superior of the two, a ground pork patty mixed with roasted red bell peppers, topped with cheddar and grilled onions; he had the special which was a play on a reuben which was also very good in its own right). The burgers weren’t huge either, and served a la carte. We did order a side(VERYLARGE) of fries to round out the meal. Ended up taking almost all the fries home and half of each burger. Overall a great meal and fantastic dining service, our waitress was super friendly and attentive. It definitely is not the cheapest option for dinner, especially for ‘bar fare’ — for two burgers, a side of fries, the wings, and four beers our bill tipped the scales at about $ 76 before tip, but the quality of the food was great, so I think it was definitely worth it.

I must say this place has the best food I have ever had in a bar atmosphere! They have an amazing head chef and it shows in their delicious food. They have an amazing take on simple dishes like wings and burgers. Their bunch is just as delightful. Along with their rotating beer and drink list. A+ service from the bar backs, servers and bar tenders. All And all a must visit if your in Logan Square!
