Great hangout in a great location. I used to love going here on Fridays after work, especially when the weather was nice and the windows were open. Nice place to unwind and kick off the weekend. Totally different place late on Friday and Saturday nights, on the other hand. There’s often a line to get in and the later it gets, the more meat markety it is. Hunt Club has some good food, too, and there are plenty of TVs if you’re there to watch a sporting event. These are all shut off when the meat market phase of the night hits, though. If this place has indeed closed, then that’s a bummer. I was hoping to visit again for old time’s sake sometime soon. Overall, it was probably my favorite bar in Chicago.

I like this place here. We had a great server, and the food was decent. They didn’t have an amazing selection of salads, but its bar food. I get it. Dark lighting, Cold night, Cold beer, and warm wine! Wine was decent. Overall it was not a bad experience, or an excellent(hence the 4 stars)

We made a stop here for the Ditka Sweater Vest Fest(DSVF). The management company gave us drinks specials on all draft beers prior to the event but when we arrived they only gave us drink specials on domestic drafts. The manager on duty corrected the problem after i showed him the email i received from the management company. The food is decent and beer selection is decent.

Lol only a moron will come here for the nightclub part. The funny part is the bouncer(s). This one particular guy thinks he’s Steve Wilkos or some shit. Don’t get me started on the chicks there. Mostly desperate cougars and the chicks that are young are of some Indian or Paki decent and they the only losers that come to the club in groups with their boyfriends — holding hands and riverdance like complete nimrods! Worst club ever!

I actually hate this place. Really really hate this place. The first time, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. The second time, I stayed for like 10 mins, the third time I questioned my sanity for being here again. The atmosphere isn’t good, the crowd is sketchy and creepy, and the drinks are really really weak and terrible. The only saving grace was the music. That’s it. The crowd is older. A lot older. Like my mom older. Ok that’s a little unfair, but this is a well know ‘cougars’ club. Its never packed, and it’s not unusual to see maybe a few older women grinding on the dance floor, and a bunch of men circling them. Like I said, creepy. Think long and hard before you decide to go.

I went here for lunch and ate outside which was nice. Their food menu is pretty standard bar food and seems like they have some good deals. Sunday was $ 2 tacos/$ 3 Coronas. I had the pasta salad which was a solid choice. They could add a southwest salad to their selection IMO. Really appreciated our nice server who was so friendly and accomodating– she proactively asked us if we wanted lemon for our waters(when does that ever happen) and complimented my friends on getting along together so well which made our day.

I could not in good faith give the Hunt Club 4 stars, but it deserves higher than 3, maybe«3.5» stars. As described below by others, the Hunt Club is located in the Viagra Triangle, and it shows. The general vibe was douchey and«trying oh-so hard to be hip but not doing a terrific job of it.» As a starting low point, the drink(i.e., beer) selection was sub-par and way over-priced(who the hell pays $ 6 for a Miller or Bud Light?). There was a «Draft of the Month» special for $ 3… which was sold out. There were other draft choices… which apparently did not work at all. So the selection was further limited to bottles of the over-priced variety. So I drank water… out of a plastic cup.(Why do places serve out of plastic cups so frequently? Is this«hip» or are they just cheap?) My sister got a Rum and Coke(also in a plastic cup), and it was $ 8. Horrible. OK, so the drink was a bust. We decided to split a pizza, which was only $ 9, and were able to split the toppings 50 – 50, too. That was nice. They also hyped their Guacamole as the«family recipe.» Wary but intrigued, I ordered it. That was the first correct decision of the night. The guac was thick and fresh; the chips, actually fried tortilla pieces, were light and crunchy; and the dish overall was much better than I expected. I recommend it to others. The pizza was also surprisingly good. After the guac appetizer, it also was enough to satisfy both my sister and me. Too bad my sister ordered pepperoni and we had sausage on her half. Still good, she told me, but not what we ordered. Do not know if it was the waitress’s or kitchen’s mix-up. Around 9pm, the music changed from indie hits of yester-year to dance hits of today that should have never been. Although the bar was fairly empty to begin, it began to fill up with hardly dressed girls with caked-on war paint and the men who go for that kind. That was when it was time to leave. So overall, I would possibly go back, but only for the guacamole and maybe the pizza(but with all the other options in Chicago, no real reason to), and only before dark. They come out in droves after dark…

I gave the Hunt Club five stars for five reasons! 1) The Hunt Club has a comfortable yet, hip décor that’s well suited for it’s diverse crowds of people. It has great window seating, and three large bars. This tri-level bar /club is a chill bar for lunch, dinner or a quick drink before 9pm and attracts crowds from 20 somethings to people in their late 50’s. At 10pm, the atmosphere changes and so does the music! 2) The Hunt Club has a cozy dance floor upstairs that stays packed after 11pm. I’m a terrible dancer, but it doesn’t matter at The Hunt Club everyone is there to shake what their mom gave them on or off beat! Downstairs, is a more laid back environment with a dark bar room where most patrons sit on the sofa’s and talk or if they are completely drunk make out with that person that they just met a few minutes ago. 3) The appetizers at The Hunt Club are well priced and tasty. This isn’t the type of food that you just eat just, because you’ve had one too many drinks so sit back and enjoy! 4) It is located near Division and Rush, so if you get tired of the atmosphere and you’d like to try some place else you can walk out the door and you will be surrounded by other options however; the Hunt Club closes at 5am so if you go somewhere else chances are you will end up back where you started unless you are too tired. 5) On the weekends, Hunt Club closes at 5:00am therefore; when other bars close at 2:00 or 3:00am their customers walk to Hunt Club and the place is packed between 2−5am. So, if you are ever out and you don’t want your night to end too soon it doesn’t have to! :) For some, they grow out of the Division and Rush street crowds, but I say there’s something in the Gold Coast area for all ages! Just find your place and enjoy!

I love the Hunt Club! This place has awesome daily specials particularly on Monday nights. My brother and I always come here for their $ 5 burger and we always go with the Big Blue stuffed burger. For only $ 5 you get a giant stuffed burger and your choice of side. They have fries, waffle fries, salad, veggies and mac n cheese. We always get the salad because its so good but I have also tried their waffle fries and mac n cheese. They have great $ 3 beer specials on Monday as well. I def recommend checking out Hunt Club and in the summer they have a great outdoor patio on Maple street. Great people watching!

If it’s Monday then there’s a good chance I’ll be headed to The Hunt Club for dinner for their $ 5 Burgers! You can’t beat this deal. I really like the original stuffed burger filled with cheddar, bacon and mushrooms. I got a burger with fries and my total bill with tax came out to only $ 5.53.

I love to see flies surf on cool summer breezes right into establishments. I love to see those same flies make emergency landings on the circumference of my salad bowl, and then stare at me with those infectious and germ-soaked eyes. Aaahh — it’s really bringing back memories — and I’m not even the emotional type, I’m a pretty glacial guy. Well, if you like the companionship of flies while eating — The Hunt Club is your answer. Gibson’s does steak — Hugo’s does fish — Carmine’s does pasta — The Hunt Club does flies! I mean they aren’t the only establishment that remove their windows in the summer — but they are the establishment that is highly-favored by the fly community! So if you aren’t a fly racist and you have no prejudice with their germ spreading culture — then join them at The Hunt Club. I promise you this, if you come solo you won’t be dining in isolation — you’ll have plenty of air-inclined four-legged company to enjoy the Gold Coast experience with.

Hunt club has a great sports bar vibe. They also have great midweek specials. $ 5 cocktails. and half off appetizers. Follow them on twitter and get $ 10 off a $ 20 tab. The food is good too. good for a sports bar that is. They had free pizzas there one promotional event. They looked like the frozen pizza variety but, hey, they were free. I’m not complaining. There may be a dance floor that gets pretty full on the weekends too.

I have been here several times over the course of my drinking age but today I decided to take them up on some of there social media offerings and that was a huge mistake! Today is Wednesday and and on Twitter they offer a «Like us on Wednesday»! Which allows you to take off $ 10 from your bill of $ 20 plus! They were also offering on Twitter $ 3 domestic bottles and $ 3 southern mac and cheese. No where did they tweet that these two offers could not be combined!!! So here is where I am unhappy. «Like us on Wednesday» did not have any restrictions when it was Tweeted but when we got here we found out that we could not get the domestic bottles deal or mac/cheese deal with this offer. Okay I am fine with that… I understand you do not want me to double dip. So all I asked was to pay full price for the mac and cheese and was told that it was in the computer and could not be changed. Really? When does the computer have all of the power? So here I was with a bill that was $ 18 bucks but I still had to order $ 5 more to get the«Like us on Wednesday» deal because the $ 3 for mac and cheese did not count towards my bill. If you would just charge me the full price of the Mac and Cheese, then my bill would be $ 20 and we have ourselves a good deal. This was so frustrating. I did not want the daily special prices because I wanted to pay full price for my food. So my recommendations to management are to make some adjustments. Tell me via social media what the restrictions are if you are going to be this anal when I show up. If you do not want me ordering your specials, then allow me to pay full price for them. I would rather have the $ 10 off deal over your daily Wednesday special. Now for some reviews of the food and drink: –The Miller Lite on Tap was almost undrinkable. It was completely flat and tasted like shit. I honestly have never had beer taste that bad. I think the lines were really dirty. I pointed it out to our waitress and told her I just wanted a bottle of Miller Lite. She came back and told me that I unfortunately got the bottom of the keg. How long has that keg been sitting there? I’ve had kegs at a party sitting in a garbage can of ice and the bottom of my keg never tasted like flat shit. –The chicken wings were probably the lowest grade of chicken ever. These are not fresh at all… just pulled from the freezer and thrown into the deep fryer. These probably taste really good at 1am after a night of drinking but not at 4pm in the afternoon. –There Southern Mac and Cheese was good, so I will give you a plus on that one. I also feel bad for Liz the waitress who is put into situations like this. I typically do not get mad or upset but this was totally a bait and switch for the consumer. I must thank Liz for seeing my reasoning and making things right. She is not the owner or the manager but she did try to make me happy as a customer. It is funny how Dublin’s across the street was fully packed outside and they offer no specials at all. And your outdoor patio was completely empty. I am so sorry I trusted your social media offer. I should have just went to Dublin’s and paid full price. Also…I am going to Unlike you on Facebook and also stop following you on Twitter… those are both firsts for me ever. I have never ever done that to any business ever. Remember that social media can be a bad thing when you try to take advantage of the consumer and rip them off. Thanks for ruining an 80 degree day in Chicago in March for me with this BS!!!

Meh explains it all. I’ve been here a few times over the years I’ve lived in Chicago and never been too impressed. It isn’t worth waiting to get in, the music isn’t great and the crowd isn’t anything to write home about. Bachelorette parties and married men… SNORE. Generally there is a long wait at the bar to get a drink and they aren’t good or cheap. There really aren’t many places to sit if you choose and it is hard to avoid crazies grinding on you on the dance floor when you aren’t interested… Not much else to say, but really not worth the time or energy to go!

More the the c unt club. OHHHHH jeeze We went to this bar on a busy Saturday night. 5 good-looking girls, and they charged us cover! Ridiculous. Its an older-ish crowd. All dying to wear their best, pay top prices for cheap beer. The waitstaff charges more for the beers than they do at the bar. Its ridiculous. Like a dollar more. Plus a tip? I call BULL%$^@ Cool space though, nice layout. A bit of a bottleneck when you first walk in, but an upstairs dance floor, lots of tables. Pricey and stuck up though.

Every year I’m given the most undesirable task in the office; the planning of the company Christmas party. I have a smaller office(about 30 people, including their +1s), so it’s always a challenge to find a location that: a) isn’t a dump; b) is willing to offer a private space without an outrageously large minimum charge, or any minimum charge for that matter and c) is located as close to downtown as possible. I found everything I needed at The Hunt Club. Surprised? Yeah, me too! I worked with event planner Kate Gaddi to set up something that was within my party budget and would make my colleagues think I’m the most excellent party planner in Chicago. She was incredibly helpful and very responsive. In my experience, there are a lot of folks I’ve worked with on past corporate functions that have been less than helpful, so it’s always a pleasure to work with someone who is on top of things. The Hunt Club has a smaller, downstairs bar that’s perfect for private parties. It’s actually not in a basement. It’s more like halfway down a little staircase. The ‘downstairs bar’ still has all the same music played in the main floor of the hunt club and even has windows looking into the main bar so your party doesn’t feel isolated. It’s definitely like being a part of the rest of the bar, but with your own personal space. Perhaps the best part, though, is that the food and drink are incredibly reasonable. For a 3 hour bar package of $ 35/person, we had a call package(including martinis!) with booze like Absolut, Stoli, Captain Morgan, etc. I was able to order several huge appetizer platters with quesadillas, wings, chicken tenders and waffle fries for $ 24 a pop off the regular menu and I special ordered a mammoth veggie tray and mini sliders and mini cheese-steak sandwiches off the catering menu because I planned in advance. Dudes… the sliders? AMAZING. They’re served on a pretzel roll and are so well seasoned and delicious that it was hard to limit myself to one. The staff was wonderful, too. Our bartender was super quick(and quite heavy) with the pour to keep my whole team properly lubricated. He knew I was the party planner and gave me a few free shots as a thank you. No, Mr. Cute Bartender, THANKYOU for getting me to my happy place via o-bombs and Jack and diets. I may or may not have been severely hung over the next day, but it was all worth it. Would I make The Hunt Club a hang out on a normal Friday night? Probably not. It does have kind of a high creepy guy factor, but for a corporate event, it was a huge success. Thanks, Hunt Club, for making me look like a hero!

Went to the club on friday after dinner. It has a small dancefloor upstairs. There is usually a cover charge of five dollars. The crowd was decent. Drinks were moderately priced. There were not many people on the dance floor which is good. It’s a nice place to enjoy if one likes less crowded place.

I’m not a club person and can rarely find a club that plays good music that I can actually dance to. But I have had so much fun the two times I’ve been to Hunt Club that they get all 4 of their stars for their good music and the fact that they’re open late(4 am on Fridays and 5 am Saturdays). So when you’re out and it’s 2 am and you just got your second wind but everything else just closed and you have no place to go, head to Hunt Club. Easy to get into even if there’s a line, avoid the line by getting there before 2 am. The real fun and dancing is up on the second floor. There you’ll find the best DJ playing the best top 40 songs… and not too techno-y crap versions of the songs, but the real songs. Word of advice – go with a big group of your girlfriends or take a few of your guy friends for protection because the guys that are up there are predators! Even with two guy friends standing just feet away from me, I was still getting harassed. But I’m willing to put up with that(unfortunately) for the good music. Nowhere else have I ever been so glad to hear the words«It’s Britney bitch» and start dancing like I don’t care if anyone’s watching.
