So my mom went here and got the turkey tips and loved them, so I really wanted to check them out a few days ago. But then when I went to get my turkey on, I saw that where this place once was… now had a «For Lease» sign, aka they’re CLOSED now. I was so excited too…

II am a big fan of Just Turkey Restaurant and this location. The service here is fantastic. The server, who takes the orders, is very nice and helpful and the food comes out very quick. I usually get the Jive Turkey Sandwich or the Jerk Turkey Burger. Just be careful and ask about the spiciness because the dressing in the Jerk Turkey burger can be a little on the hot side. I would have given Just Turkey 5 stars but my last turkey sandwich had a lot of turkey gristle and I hate any kind of meat gristle. For sure will be back and will be pickier with my order. Hopefully I can give 5 stars next time

The staff here, including the new guy training, are genuine down-to-earth people and it makes Just Turkey a very comfortable place to be. Aside from how welcoming the staff is, the food is delicious. My well crafted burger was filling and extremely satisfying. I cannot wait for more of this goodness. I can still taste the freshness and honestly would like to make room for more. I don’t think I can get enough. PLUS you can scan your Belly card here and get 10% off with your student ID. JUSTEATHERE. OK?! You won’t regret it.

Their Jerk Turkey is quite good. My fiancée, her mother and I really liked it. Their French Fries are worthless, however. They could have better fries. I was also disappointed they don’t have too many vegetarian options, if any. How about Jerk Tofu? Why not? Hell, there’s a lot of vegetarians nowadays. Service was OK, not outstanding, not too nice, overall.

So, I was not one of the lucky ones who got to sample turkey stuffs at Unilocal’s Walk on the Wild Side Event and I think it’s because I still had Shaw’s Lobster Roll on my mind and then I staked out the Forever Yogurt Station, just way too much on my mind! But, everyone I spoke to/with was raving about Just Turkey and I saw that Unilocal had a $ 10.00 for $ 20.00 offer so I jumped on it. Well, not literally jumped but close enough. So, this place is not very big, maybe about 8 tables inside and I was greeted at the counter by Kelly and she offered me a sample of the Turkey Rib Tips, too good. okay, that was an easy sell and also gave me a sample cup of the Turkey Chili which was Da Bomb, truly! However, I like Spaghetti more than chili so I ordered the Turkey Spaghetti which was so delicious, and I ordered a large order for $ 3.25 which was definitely worth every penny! Now, I am deducting 1 star because of the fries I received with my order, because I was smelling them on the way home and they smelled pretty good but when I got them home they were all hard and clumped together. So. those weren’t so good. But, the rib tips were really great so that kind of compensates for the hard, clumpy, fries, well almost. I would definitely return for the Turkey Spaghetti, Tips, and Chili. These items are well worth the trip. Menu Prices are really reasonable and if you check on Unilocal or Groupon you may be able to get a sweet little deal like I did. Just Turkey, glad I got to try your turkey stuffs today, and since there was not a Shaw’s or a Forever Yogurt around I had a much clearer mind. So, Just Turkey, I am rating you 4 Gobbles, well deserved!

Second time I ordered from Just Turkey, first time, in person, second delivery. In both cases, it took way too long for my order to be ready. The second order this week, on my birthday, the order took over an hour and a half to be delivered, and I live less than a mile away. Turkey burger is decent, Turkey Tips dipped were disappointing, links are decent as well. I did not order anything special requiring a longer time to prepare. I wasted my time and money this time. They offered a half off refund, although did not offer an explanation of the delay. Checked my refund, and it was not half of my order. They need to get their act together in regards to providing their food faster.

Damn. The Jerk turkey rib tips were outstanding. Judging from the pics on the website, I thought the fries would suck. It turns out they were outstanding. The rib tips were juicy, spicy, flavorful, plentiful, and… uunnnnnnhh. The Jalapeño cheesburger was uunnnnnnhh. I actually ate it first, and was afraid that I’d be spoiled on it and not enjoy the turkey rib tips, but damn, was I wrong. Uunnnnnnhh. I ordered pickup, so I don’t know anything about their in-house service, but the food is spectacular. I’d give them my unlimited access to my credit card number and a permission slip if it meant I could get them to deliver to me, but alas, I am too far away. With the burger, take the $ 1 for fries and a pop if they have that. My only regret was not getting it. Uunnnnnnhh.

i like the concept of Turkey as a healthier option. This place doesn’t promote this fact in the least and is really just a quickie burger joint that uses turkey instead. Too bad. The food is ok but for diners staying to eat, the experience will be overshadowed by trash TV mounted way too high, and a horribly designed dining room(think garage) that severely lacks personality and has an echo. The photos on the menu say«hey, we have a camera but don’t know how to make food look good»(a common plight among burger joints). They certainly know how to let customers know that they don’t have a clue when it comes to presentation, ambiance or comfort. Some people sit at one of the 3 – 4 «counter» stools just to have something to watch(the fax machine). Even the logo is overdone and contains way too much information to be graphic and appealing. The cashier was efficient but terse, like a dispatcher. The garbage can was taped closed and the restroom was out of paper towels. Drinks are standard sugar pops that lack originality or health options. The clientele reflects the carelessness of the space — seemingly catering to truck drivers, cabbies and larger framed folks. If you’re looking for a fresh, urban place with a young, eclectic vibe, this is not it. Head west a few blocks and try the Burger Philosophy at Clark and Bryn Mawr.

Oh, man. Craveable. DAMN, these are good. Turkey rib tips!!! i tried these at at a Unilocal event, swore I would check them out soon, and went back tonight. OHMAN, are they good. And somewhat guilt free, as turkey is not nearly as fatty as beef. So delicious, though. The barbeque sauce is tangy and yummy. The meat juicy and tasty. I’m actually eating them as I write this, and DAMNARETHEYGOOD! The fries are really crisp and good too, and doubly great heaped with rib tips and barbeque sauce. If you love regular beef or pork rib tips, seriously, try these guys. I got a large order of tips, that’s a pound of meet. It might be two meals for me, or. .. hmm, maybe not. My dog is going INSANE from the smell. The place is sort of set up like a bar, and while they don’t serve alcohol, it is BYOB. Also, events! There’s a few large TVs so you could watch a game here, bring beer(maybe from my pals at the Pantry RIGHT across the street!) and pig out on RIBTIPS! Also — and this his hilarious — they have Karaōke on Saturdays! I’m coming back to try the turkey burgers, tacos and some of the jerk items on the menu. Lots of specials and all the loyalty things, Belly, Unilocal deals — really a great value for the price even without the specials they have. STEPS from the Bryn Mawr stop on the red line and so worth a trip up. The friendliest nicest staff, I am so glad these guys came to my neighborhood. YUUUUMMMM!!!

I was so looking forward to trying this place, as the sign said«Best Turkey Burger in Chiago», I think. The burger was very salty and had no special flavorings put in, that I could tell. The bun was fresh and the onion, lettuce and tomato on the bun were, as well. The burger was filling. Sorry guys, but more innovation and energy is needed here. You really could get more business, if you tried harder.

I tried the jalapeño turkey burger for lunch and was quite impressed. The meat was juicy and the toppings made it quite flavorful! I also ordered the turkey tips for a little late-night libation… also quite delicious, though I’d opt for a little less sauce next time. Likewise, the service was courteous and timely. I’ll be back!

I mean, where else are you gonna get delicious, giant Turkey Drumsticks! Nom — nom — nom! Man food at it’s best! PS — Ignore the hipsters who are giving this a one just because this isn’t their type of «Hip» establishment complete with people who know about authors and music you’ve never heard of and guys with overgrown beards or handlebar mustaches serving your food.

Literally just got done eating some delicious turkey tips! I’m surprised about all of the bad reviews… I’ve gone here 3 times during the past 3 weeks(thanks to the youswoop deal) and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. I’m impressed at how good and exciting they can make the otherwise boring turkey. The items that I have tried are the turkey tips, turkey tacos, and jerk turkey wrap. For the turkey tacos, you can have the option of ground turkey meat or turkey steak. I’ve tried the ground turkey tacos and they were so tasty, no need for any hot sauce. The turkey tips consists of large, tender bite-sized chunks of turkey meat with barbeque sauce on top of fries with a slice of wheat bread(which is always used instead of white). I’m not usually a fan of barbeque sauce, but I really liked this one since it wasn’t too tangy or overpowering. For the(cold) turkey wrap, which was huge, you can have the turkey either chipotle or jerk style. I chose the jerk turkey and enjoyed it. The first time, I dined in and the next 2 times were carry-out. The quality and portions have been consistent. The items are always served really warm. Just Turkey has a diverse turkey menu and also offers catering… I’d like to try the butter crusted turkey burger(also with jalapeño) as well as the turkey nachos. I plan on returning many times on days when I don’t feel like cooking.

Food took 15 minutes, time was okay since I wasn’t in a rush, though the restaurant was empty.(?) Burger OK. Nothing special. Bun seemed like something from a grocery store. Was untoasted. Sweet potato fries were cold This may be a minor nitpick but they only had ketchup packets, what fast food place doesn’t have a dispenser or bottle of sorts? Neat concept, poor execution

I wanted to like this place when I heard about it but it has been a terrible let down. First Visit: Dine in Turkey Polish and Fries The Turkey Polish was over cooked and served over a bed of cold fries. It was interesting to see that the wait staff and managers were doing shots of Patron. Maybe that’s why it took 20 mins to get a over cooked turkey dog. Second Visit: I called my order in for pick up because I didn’t want to wait 20 mins. Turkey Hot Link and Fries(highly recommended by the staff member) Asked for fresh hot fries. Picked up my order and went back to my office only to find a rock hard dry turkey hot link soaked in a semi sweet mess of a sauce. The fries were hot but soaked in the mess of semi sweet sauce.

A dream come true for those of us on low-carb diets, as well as those who for religious reasons eschew pork but still crave slow-smoked BBQ. My husband’s been bringing home turkey legs on his way back from work on the S. Side for years; in fact, we’ve created 6-legged Thanksgiving turkeys that way more than once. I for one adore real ‘cue, and don’t mind eating pork(I’m Reform, but still let’s not tell my rabbi); but the nearest good BBQ joint, Rub, is 3 miles away and doesn’t deliver. When I got Just Turkey’s circular on my doorstep, I decided to drive over(they didn’t deliver yet) and give them a try. The idea of «turkey ribs» seemed oxymoronic – I’d assumed(erroneously) that like McRibs they’d be ground turkey shaped into«slabs» and breaded/fried/sauced. So I passed them by for my old standby drumsticks. Visions of the Taste and ren-fairs danced in my head. Found a parking space right across the street. Walked in – saw the credit card decals(good sign). The smell of sweet wood smoke – not fryer grease – hit me right away. Ordered my drumsticks and perused the menu. Imagine my surprise when told by the franchise holder herself(who greeted me warmly) that I’d have to wait because meals are prepared to order: «no heat lamps and holding areas here.» Second good sign. I asked about the turkey ribs, and she answered that they are strips of turkey that are rubbed and slow-smoked before being finished on the grill. Nothing is deep-fried unless you ask for it to be(an option for the ribs and wings) and none of the deep-fried turkey items are floured, battered or breaded. Third good sign. Made a mental note to try the«ribs» next time. Took awhile to get my drummers – but was offered a cold drink while I waited. Got my turkey legs home, and two legs fed three people for two days. Why’d I deduct a star? Because the turkey was saltier than most smoked meats and I didn’t know their smoked-meat orders would be drenched in a bland-ish sweet tomato-based sauce on a bed of pale fries unless I specified otherwise; there’s no price deduction for a no-fries order. Guess they’re trying to replicate the typical urban takeout rib-joint experience. But next time I’ll just ask for sauce on the side and put the fries in the freezer for those who can eat them. And there WILL be a «next time.»

I ordered a grilled turkey salad. Much of my lettuce was wilted, and not fresh. The inside was clean, and so is the bathroom. But due to my wilted lettuce, I won’t be back.
