Uptown Pizza & BBQ

This is the quintessential take-​out place in uptown. Don’t waste your time with anyone else If you want late-​nite delivery with tasty fattening goodness!
The guys are hilarious, they will mess up your order, they will forget something, but just give them a call, they always fix it.
The Food is always delicious, Pizza, Ribs, Burgers, Fish, Dessert, Cold Pop, Etc. All amazing.
Give them a try, the food is delivered fast and is tasty.

Orderd from eat 24 45 minutes from them closing. Food came like 20 mins later, awesome.
Taste: I ordered rip tips with fries and it’s actually very good I was impressed because it’s so late night.

Since moving into the neighborhood I can’t say that I’ve had the food from this restaurant quite a few times along with one of their cakes as a dessert I find the rib tips the Italian beef the the gyro to be great choices in the food in which they sell

I ordered delivery. I live about 2 miles away and food arrived in 35 – 40 mins which I didn’t think was too bad, especially since I ordered at lunch time. Rib tips were tender but a little fatty. Meal came with toasted bread and small side of coleslaw. Hot wings are a spicy BBQ, not buffalo wings just FYI. The wings are pretty small. Fries were crisp and had good flavor.

I work at a building where we often have staff meetings. We have many menus to choose from. A few of the menus is from Uptown Pizza & BBQ. A couple of days prior to one meeting and because of me, this restaurant was chosen as the place we would buy our Staff Meeting Lunch from. The lunch was great, and I continued to order from this place for my personal lunches. Recently though, the cook who takes orders over the phone (beginning at 11am) seems to be determined to undermine the reputation of the restaurant with rude customer service.
A week ago, I made an order for delivery and the food never came. I didn’t call back, or re-​order, because I was busy and it was too close to the end of my shift. REMARKABLY, the same thing happened today (2÷11÷2016 at 11am), but this time I called and asked to speak with the manager. WOULDN’T YOU KNOW IT? The rude cook answered the phone. When I asked for the manager, he wanted to know who was I, and for what reason I wanted to speak to the manager? When I told him I was a customer, he said the manager wasn’t there. I called back 30 minutes later, and he said the same thing. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!
I will NEVER order from this place again, and when the subject of lunch comes up, I will discourage the building management, and anybody within ear shot to not order lunch from Uptown Pizza & Barbecue Restaurant. WHAT’S MORE? I removed all of their menus from the place we keep restaurant menus.
I guess it’s true that one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch!

I ate from their on Monday in it was so delicious so here it is Friday I wanted more Monday I ordered a small rib tips today I ordered a large in also paid for extra sauce to day it was the same amount of tips as they where when I got the small I ask for extra sauce in didn’t get it I don’t know if u get better service earlier in the day but that’s what it seems like I will not eat here again

I actually ordered on Grubhub but I can’t figure out how to review on there. I ordered delivery through the app. After 1.5 hours, the delivery guy showed up. I gave him money he left, I opened up my bag to find my fries were missing. i ordered as a burger/​fries combo
So I called the place and got the same rude guy everyone else gets and instead of pulling up the order, he argued with me about whether I ordered the fried or not. He finally claimed he’d send replacement fries that never showed up. Grubhub comped the money he stole from me. I’ll never order from there again. The food sucked anyway.

Rude. Rude. Rude.
I tried to order via eat24 and called them to make a change to the order. The guy answered as if I was wasting his time and he sounded very angry. He began talking loudly, almost yelling, for me to give him the rest of the info as I was trying to stay calm. The conversation ended with me saying I was cancelling my order because I couldn’t believe that he was yelling at me for calling the restaurant and wanting to change something on my order. I’ve heard their food is great, and I was looking forward to it. But, I’ll take mediocre food with great customer service any day over rudeness like this.

Usually, I love this place. When you go in person, they’re very nice and helpful. This is the second time I’ve placed a delivery and it’s terrible. Today was my first time ordering on grub hub and i got an email saying it was going to be an hour and a half for delivery so, I called and they were upset that i was calling. They said well, it’s so far but the driver is on his way already so it’ll get there whenever it gets there. OK! Then I check my food when it gets here, I’m missing a soda that I paid for, cheese for my fries, then the wrong dressing for my salad. Again, I call and he’s upset that I’m calling. He asked for an address and starts asking what I ordered and makes it seem like such a burden. Bill continued on and said that I was too far to deliver the items but that I can get «free stuff» next time I order. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL BE ORDERING FROM HERE. Why would I want something free when it’s what I paid for? Couldn’t even give me an apology. Or refund for the items I didn’t get. PETTY.
Great food and service when you walk in but they seriously treat deliveries like s***.

Placed a carry out order for the first time since moving into Uptown. It took 5 minutes for the food to be ready. Killed it. Rib tips were tasty, as were the fries, slaw, and toasted bread that came with the dinner. Straight to the point barbecue, nothing fancy. Will absolutely return for more. Sauce those fries.

I think their pizza is generally pretty fine — but I ordered a slice and some mozzarella sticks online and specified a cheese slice, but they sent sausage. Didn’t call me, tell me they didn’t sell cheese slices. I’m a vegetarian and couldn’t eat it, so I was just shit out of luck. They also send a shrimp sauce with the cheese sticks.
So after that shitty experience, it’s not worth it ordering here again.

I’m no fan of jumbo steroid-​infused wings by any means, but these wings had to be from a Cornish hen. .or perhaps a pigeon. They had a strange texture and flavor. I tossed them in the trash along with the mystery meat salad. Pizza slice was the only thing edible. This place was recommended by a friend. He now owes me a dub.

The most meat on a Gyro plate I have ever had. Perfect example of why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. This place is a delicious late night stop.

Grew up eating their food. This is a no frills place. Most people do delivery or take out. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I still drop by when I’m in the neighborhood. The consistency hasn’t changed and the service is fast.

Are you kidding me with this place? I ordered on a Saturday night and I live about a half mile from the place. It took an hour and a half to get to my apartment, and I fell asleep before it got there. I called the next day to explain the situation and try to reconcile whatever I could. After talking for a good minute about what happened, the guy on the other end said «open at 11» and hung up. It was 10:40. What kind of awful customer service is that?

We ordered from here for delivery. We got a thin crust pizza and a salad. The delivery was within the hour. The pizza was just okay — not bad, not omg good but just okay. It looked and smelled so good!!! Better than it tasted. The cost was very affordable. We ordered via grubhub and compared to other pizza places, at Uptown pizza you definitely get more bang for your buck! We also got a salad with ranch dressing that was yummy (the dressing). Nothing special about the salad. Doubtful that we will order from them again.

Huge mistake.
We decided to try a bit of this and that from Uptown. The pizza puff and beef taco were ok and the side of french bread was surprisingly good.
Then it all went horribly wrong. Had one broasted chicken wing and threw the whole order in the trash. Had one rib tip, threw the whole order in the trash. The chicken and ribs tasted like they had been cooked in burnt, rancid grease. The «flavor» was strong and throughout the meat. Massively disgusting.
Considering some of the positive reviews on the site, maybe I was just unlucky. But my food tasted like it had been cooked in the previous days grease.

I have never eaten from here and NEVER will. Menus were left on doorsteps inside our locked building and when I called the owner to find out who was delivering his menus, he told me he doesn’t hire people to drop menus. He was rude and instead of apologizing — he called me crazy.

Their thin crust pizza is honestly in the top 5 for me! The delivery is fast and the employees are friendly!

I’ve ordered from here twice. The portions are very generous and payment options are vast :)
I ordered a gyro plate and ate so much I thought I’d explode. SERIOUS! Damn that was a lot of food and I barely dented it. I highly suggest you share the plates. They also give you so many fries that might as well be it’s own meal! The stuffed pizza was ok not the best in town, sweet sauce the crust was extra yeasty and it didn’t have enough toppings for my liking but not bad. My order was running on an hour and 10 minutes when I called to check and the guy simply told me it should be there, it took another 10 minutes to show up and the are less than a mile away on a Tuesday they brought me a free pop but offered no condolences other than a nervous looking delivery driver. I’m assuming it wasn’t out the door until I called.
