Just moved to the area, and I am an avid pizza fanatic. And am on the constant hunt for a go to pizza place. This place is solid, decent delivery time, decent food. But the pizza just didn’t have that wow factor. I LITTERALLY bought a large thick crust and large thin crust, just to see the difference. Again. It wasn’t horrible Pizza, but a 55 $ tab for two mediocre pizzas hurts a bit. I would mind the price if it was just a little bit better or a little more wow.

This was my go to place for pizza and pasta. Tried to place an order for delivery and was told will be there in an hour — hour 10 minutes tops. Waited an hour and a half to call them and find out my order has been sitting there and they are waiting on the driver. No thanks. Drove to portillos. Would have done that earlier if I knew my order was just sitting there. Everyone gets busy but dont promise delivery times you cant deliver on.

On the coldest night of the year so far, we decided to take a walk to our neighborhood restaurant. Nice, small family owned place. We ordered 2 appetizers(mozzarella sticks & bruschetta), minestrone soup and thin crust, cheese pizza. Food came out hot and yummy. The mozzarella sticks were delicious and the pizza was cooked just right with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Owner even asked if we were warm enough and offered to turn up the heat.

Real good thin crust. Been grubbing here over 20 years. Always solid. Surprisingly good beef sandwich.

This is a reliable pizza place and that’s pretty much why we come here. Pizza is good, not amazing, but always consistent. Staff is friendly. Pick-up orders are ready when we are told.

Pizza ok nothing to write home about. Owner operator very friendly. Pizza: Toppings — ok, average Sauce — lacking Crust — ok Conclusion: Pizza is ok, I wouldn’t come back again with so many other options to try. It’s not bad pizza, it just lacks the wow factor. — Cons, pizza is pricey for being mediocre

The whole family is in love with Villa Rosa pizza & pasta! I have had a couple different kinds of pasta from there and they were delicious! But, I ordered a thin crust pizza with Italian beef, green peppers & onions, I don’t even know if it’s actually on the menu, but they made it… It was so amazing that I had to write a review! I’m extremely picky when it comes to sauces, and the sauce had just the right amount of flavor. The seasoning was perfect! You can just taste that the ingredients were really fresh. The kids & I loved that it wasn’t greasy. The crust was super thin, I was amazed that it was humanly possible to get a crust that thin! My husband commented on how he hasn’t had a pizza that good in a very long time. My mother-in-law was also impressed. And I have to add, the owners are the nicest people ever! I definately think that you should check them out!

What can I say but we have returned numerous times and always have a great experience. Pizza, salads, always good choices! The young man who we have had as our server a handful of times is the best! Full of recommendations and great service to go with his nice smile! And soap! :-)

We were in Chicago for the weekend of my son’s Basic Training gradation and found this amazing pizza. The crust was thinner than the traditional Chicago style, but still delicious. The staff was courteous and the food was scrumptious. Salads were good — only vital info is that restaurant is BYOB.

Great fresh food made with quality ingredients and excellent customer service every time. BYOB. What more could anyone want? Very happy you are in my hood. Satisfy your Italian, wing and pizza cravings here. Check out their awesome daily food specials. Maria and the high school guy rock the customer service there. Keep up the great work and the passion for food burning. Wishing Villa Rosa longtime success.

This is our go to thin crust in the neighborhood. Not a cornmeal crust so if that’s your gig it’s not your za. They delivery it hot and fresh. Crispy gooey deliciousness. We have probably tried most of the pizzas in the area and like this best, next to Lou’s deep dish of course.

I’ve been here about 6 times in the past 2 years, while I do really enjoy their pizza; I find them a little pricey so I do not come here often. I’ve only had a handful of items from their menu — I’ve had their thin crust sausage pizza, fries, bbq wings and caprese salad. All very good items, I especially like the pizza with its crispy crust, flavorful sauce and generous amount of sausage. There is nothing special about their fries and wings, I’ve had better. It’s hard to mess up a caprese salad, so I think caprese salads are great anywhere you go, however; I am a little disappointed that they do not use enough basil, so the salad lacks that basily taste that I love so much. PLEASE add MORE basil! Maybe I just LOVE basil! I put it on everything. Our waitress was not very friendly. She forgot our straws, plates for our pizza and the pizza server. I did not let this put a damper on things because in the past we’ve had very nice wait staff and I was looking forward to sinking my teeth into the pizza. They have a small bathroom that you have to go through the kitchen to get to. It is a small, clean bathroom stocked with plenty of t. p, two kinds of hand soaps and paper towels… all the necessities. I was also very happy to see that their kitchen is clean, which makes me feel really good about going to this place. I will be back again.

Always great food and friendly service. Their sauce is great. Can’t go wrong with their thin-crust pizza either.

Looking for a good place to grab a pizza on a Good Friday during lent followed by some ice cream. My parents were in town to see their grandson and this turned out to be a great place to take everybody. Maria was our server and she immediately got a high chair for our little guy and was attentive throughout our meal. Pizza had a great crust/sauce and the veggie combo platter was pretty good. Salad was really fresh. My dad had to use the.uh.facilities.and was told it was in the back. He was impressed on his way back that everything was being made from scratch. Good place for a quick pizza and good service. We’ll be back.

I was looking for a pizza place on Unilocal and picked this place based on their reviews. Ordered the«Chi — Town Delight» and it was really good. My girl didn’t like the extra cheese but I don’t think she minded too much because she had two plates. :-p My only complaint which I wish I would have paid attention, the price on their Unilocal Menu shows $ 20.50 for the Large but I was charged $ 23.00

I have to say, I’ve been looking for a favorite pizza place and this is it. I haven’t really had anything I didn’t like there. What remains outstanding is their meat lasagna. It’s the best I’ve had in Chicago. If you talk to the owner you’ll understand why the food is so good. Everything is freshly made with the best ingredients they can find. I’m really impressed. When there, don’t forget to order the cheesy garlic bread. It’s cracktastic.

Some of the best pizza that I have had in a while. One question, though. Who the hell doesn’t accept credit cards in 2013? The pizza would have had 5 stars if they accepted credit cards, but I arrived to pick up my pizza and had to leave to find an ATM. I was pretty pissed until I ate the pizza and it was fantastic. Edit: Raised them to 5 stars because they now accept credit cards. I would honestly say that it’s 4.75 stars, which is really good, because unless you order well done, the cheese isn’t cooked enough. Maybe that is just MY taste. Isn’t a little browning on the cheese standard? Still great pizza and fresh ingredients.
