While stumbling through the ice and slush on my way to Ten Cat I walked past this place, then back, and then to the left, I mean in. I was greeted by a very friendly lady whose name escapes me. I can’t remember specifically anything she said, but she seemed warm and pleasant. Maybe it was the artwork rubbing off on her, because that’s the vibe this place has. The first thing you notice upon entering are the striking glass lamps and chandeliers. They’re make of winding metal vines and topped with delicate colored glass(from Belgium? I think she said Belgium). It’s as if there were autumn trees pouring from the walls ceiling. The rest of the space contained some cool paintings and sketches, as well as some simple but attractive jewelery. She(the nice lady) mentioned a shin dig coming up that Saturday. That Saturday I came in with a couple friends. No cover. Live music. More friendly people. The gentleman who runs the space(boy am I bad with names) personally introduced himself and thanked us for coming by. The music was good, though I had some issues with the five dollar Budweiser. I guess you can chalk it up to donation, and the need for funding for a very new gallery. I definitely plan on coming back. Looks like there should be events monthly. Something about the space screams poetry reading. In a good way. Just a thought.

This gallery just opened up tonight. It this small intimate space, they are showcasing primarily local artists and carrying a variety of different mediums. From some cool paintings, to necklaces, to some very awesome looking chandeliers. The owners, Emily Appenzeller and Jim Licka, two very nice and friendly people, are certainly welcome new additions to the neighborhood. They are looking to have Mondays closed, however they are looking to have the space open at least 4 if not 6 days a week. So if you are interested in seeing some great local art work, perhaps check out their website and give them a call just to make sure they are open. And do take your time to look around, there are some great pieces in there!
