I pretty much expect one employee taking their sweet time at a register when I go to Walgreens, but even the floor associates here act as if they’re doing you a favor and that you’re inconveniencing them by needing their assistance or simply asking where the bathroom is. Speaking of bathroom, apparently it takes a super top secret code to get in, so better hope you don’t have to go too badly or you’ll be pissing yourself before Ms. High and Mighty gets her attitude to the door to let you in.

Not my favorite Walgreens, however because of it’s location close to the expressway and the stores I frequent on Roosevelt, I’ll stop here for milk when I know it’s on sale or the occasional card on my way to family events. This store is smaller than most, and many times there are people loitering at the entrance, while the loiterers have nothing to do with the store inside, management should do something to make customers feel safe, and not be shaken down for loose change.

Super helpful staff. My pops needed me to break a $ 100 into two $ 50s(giving cards with money for Xmas). I initially hit up the Staples nearby and that clerk just gave up. Selfie stick. They need to move the selfie stick bin to before where the checkout line begins. I’m waiting for the super helpful clerk to convert my change to two 50’s and I’m eyeballing this selfie stick in the selfie stick bin(dang it has Bluetooth). But it’s like kind of wedged between the two checkout lanes. I will say they need to properly put the pricing levels on that box. I initially thought those selfie sticks were $ 10 because that’s what it said on one side of the front of the box. It’s a quality selfie stick as well. I’m saying to myself wow $ 10 for a premium selfie stick; today’s my lucky day. I tell the guy converting my cash hey ring this up too while your at it. Bam, $ 25, not $ 10, for the premium selfie stick. Wha?! I lean back a bit to look at the price on the box and it says $ 25 on the other side of the box. Honestly y’all was so helpful and it was such a premium selfie stick(I was ready to pay 35, nay, $ 55 for a premium selfie stick) and I’m not that type of guy to hold the entire show up. There were at least 15 people in line waiting behind me; I didn’t want to be the guy to hold everyone up for a price check on a selfie stick. There were so many people waiting in line that they opened up cosmetics as an additional checkout lane. It’s odd though: the next guy in line was buying a massive teddy bear for his sweet honey and just didn’t want to give up his spot to walk the fifteen feet to cosmetics. I can tell he was calculating the cost/benefit of the move; I think he made the right choice. I need to ask: do we need a plastic bag for literally every single purchased object, Walgreens? Can we curtail the bag usage? I don’t need an environment-destroying, tree-branch catching plastic bag for my Chapstick and Snickers. Great Walgreens location, great people.

I can’t deal with prescription after prescription that take 5 – 6 or more hours longer than the promised time. I feel bad for people who are uncomfortable while they wait on this seemingly understaffed or otherwise incompetent Walgreens pharmacy. I continue to go because it’s 24 hours nearest my home. They say nothing in the way of apologies and ask you if you can just come back later.

It’s a Walgreens! The staff, if you can find them, are helpful. Checkout is friendly. BTW, Walgreen’s has a Senior Discount Day(usually monthly) when AARP members and Senior Rewards members can receive additional discounts on select items! Staff are not informed in advance of the public the schedule for Senior Discount Day. Selection here is smaller than most and they run out of sale items frequently!

Horrible customer service which I’ve come to just expect from Walgreens associates. Ordered photos from here and the development was dreadful. Not only that she knew the photos were crap when she handed them to me, but shame on me for not double checking. Just disappointing, very disappointing.

Big store, often packed, friendly and helpful and fairly plentiful staff has all the basics, but is on the big side.

Usually have a decent experience at this location, however it reached a low point for me recently. Needed to quickly pick up a prescription after work. I was fourth in line for the drive through window, pretty typical for 6pm. However, it took twenty minutes for just one car to get through… unacceptable.

This review is just for the pharmacy. I will never use it again, and neither should you. I picked up a regular medication from their 24 hour window one evening. After four days of feeling strange, I brought the medication back. I told a pharmacy tech, «I know this sounds crazy, but I think this is the wrong medication.» He poured some out and then got the bottle from the pharmacy shelf and poured some out. He obviously believed they would be the same, and was shocked when they weren’t. He called the pharmacist over who continually repeated, «I don’t know how this could happen,» in between her accusatory questions, such as, «Did you pour the medicine out and put this one in?» The worst part was — when I told her I didn’t know how it happened either, but I wanted my correct medicine, she replied, «You’ll have to come back tomorrow when the pharmacy manager is here.» So… they filled my prescription with the wrong medication(I had adverse reactions to both the medication and to NOT taking my regular medication), then they refused to fill it correctly. Unbelievable. I even asked if there was a pharmacy manager on call, as I really needed m y regular medication at that point. She said no. The next day, the pharmacy manager was very apologetic. He said she most certainly could have called him. He gave me a small gift card. It was bad enough to be given the wrong medication — but that would not have made me write this review. It was the horrible, demeaning treatment by the female pharmacist that came afterward. No one deserves to be treated that way. And a gift card does not make up for it.

Normally I don’t have an issue with this place, they have my scripts filled in a timely manner. Today was the complete opposite. No waiting for the drive up lane, however it took 15min for someone to come to the window to pick up the script. We clearly said we would be back in 2 hours to pick it up. We came back 2hr 45min later. We are told its not ready and will be 10 to 15min waited another 30min still not ready. They need to hire more pharmacy staff. That is all

It’s 24 hours. Yes, it can seem sketchy with the people hanging around outside the store. It’s pretty clean inside. Stock is usually good except the sale items can run out(which is usually the TP). Usually only one cashier at night and lines can get long.

I actually loathe coming here — and I only come here because of the RedBox machine. The staff here are good but can be a bit slow at times but the manager always knows when the line ups are developing and always makes a point to remind people that they can check out at the photo processing stand or the make up counter(unless you’re buying smokes). Between the panhandlers outside their door and the drunken messes that are always inside, I really hesitate to come here unless I am renting a movie or returning one. Luckily, there is always a good amount of cops in the area which helps me feel a little safer, but I swear that I was being followed back to my car yesterday(6pm on a Sunday) but he was unsuccessful once he saw a truck occupied by someone in front of my parked car.

I love Walgreen’s, and 24-hour ones especially, but man… can’t they do something about the guys who loiter around the front of the store and either hassle you for change, want you to buy some random paper, or just heckle you. UUUGH X 22343. I don’t want to hear your comments. You like my ass? Well me too. And even though this location is very convenient for me, and clean and well-stocked, the«front doormen» are enough to keep me away. I’ve opted to go to the Dominick’s behind it many a time due to them. In the weird photo that is mostly a Cadillac(without a driver mind you) — you’ll notice that this was taken on a Sunday because the Maxwell Street Market is taking place. The Market blocks up one of the heavily used exits/entrances to this store, which is a good reason to avoid it on Sundays unless you’re on foot/bike.

Eric told me 10 minutes, but it only took 3 minutes to fill my prescription on a Sunday night at 10:00. Thanks Eric!!! I can always count on this pharmacy’s quick and friendly service(even in the drive-thru :)
