This Wendy’s has really gone to down. The people working don’t care how they address you or serve you. If its not lunch rush during the week do not expect service to be spectacular. I use to like this location. That was before the generation of «Yolo.» Thanks Drake.

I like Wendy’s but there is a big lack of Wendy’s locations downtown, so this is really the only one downtown, near the loop. And that means it’s very busy too! It’s so busy that they have two separate lines leading up to the order counter. So if you go for lunch, you will need about 15 minutes just to place your order. The dining area is divided into the smaller area on the first floor and the larger dining area downstairs. They do have a bathroom on the first level, as well as below in case you need to pee badly after you’ve waited forever to place and get your order. They always have seats available for one or two people. For parties of four or more you’ll need to go downstairs to find an empty table because you won’t find one on the first floor. Oh, the big red canopy over the door with the Wendy’s logo on it is no longer there, in case you look for it. The photos here are old and need to be updated.

Our service was quick even though we came in right around lunch time. They had all the registers open and our food was ready just moments after we ordered. One small note: They did forget to include the BBQ sauce for my chicken nuggets. Dining room: clean. We both ordered the 4 for $ 4 menu deal, which gives you a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, 4 piece chicken nugget with your choice of dipping sauce, a small fry with sea salt, and a small beverage of your choice. Easily one of the best values in the Loop! The food however, was a little disappointing. At least my Junior Bacon Cheeseburger came the way I asked for it(no mayo) and the worker even put it in a chicken wrapper so we would know whose was whose. But when I took it out of the wrapper, it didn’t quite look like it did in the picture, even when I tried really hard to picture mayonnaise on it. The fries weren’t that hot and the chicken nuggets were nothing to write home about. All of the food was just kinda tossed into the bag and mixed around. I suspect that the person I was eating with got a slightly larger fry portion since some of mine had spilled onto hers, but I wasn’t about to raise a fuss. My Coke although cold, made me feel bloated, but I suspect that was because I drank it too quickly. My dining partner did not comment on her Diet Coke so I suspect it tasted as she expected it should. last word: «fast food done well is good food quickly. fast food done poor is salt in your sore»

Not many people know about this hidden gem tucked away on Clark Street in The Loop. This is one of the premier sandwich spots in all of Chicago. The Spicy Chicken sandwich served up at Wendy’s is mouthwatering and divine. You should know that if you aren’t down with the brothers, this may not be the place for you. Personally, I never dine in. Always carry-out.

I experienced a theft here. I contacted the store and they said someone would call me back. No one did. I called again. I am waiting on a call from the District Manager.

A friend and I had lunch here and I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. Décor: It’s a Wendy’s and they are all pretty much the same. However, that only applies to the upstairs part of the restaurant. Downstairs, where there is additional seating, feels like a whole different place. There are TONS of tables, none of the noise from upstairs(people ordering, etc.) and you can hear the music(which is a good selection of new-ish tunes). Everything was very clean as well. Bathroom: unknown Staff: The cashier was very nice and the food server was exceptionally nice — my nuggets were not ready so she kept my fries under the heat lamp while we waited. Food: Like anyone, I have dined at Wendy’s many times. Lately, however, it has only been at locations off the highway(at rest stops, etc.). This was the first urban location I have been to in a while and it was very enjoyable. The food was hot, fresh, and very, very tasty! I had a Spicy Chicken meal(sandwich is great and my favorite, fries were nice and fresh) and a spicy Asiago Chicken Sandwich(not sure what the sauce is but it’s good!) and an order of 4 Spicy Nuggets(always a winner). My meal was a medium and the drink was huge! Value: The prices are a little bit more expensive than I expected but, then again, it’s been A WHILE since I’ve been in a Wendy’s. The experience and food quality really left me feeling like I had received my money’s worth though. The meal was a very tasty experience and I have to tip my hat to this location. In the future, I won’t be nearly so reluctant to return for lunch.

I know that it’s a fast food restaurant, but wow! Every single employee needs to be fired and replaced in the night shift. Service was absolutely awful, and the food was equally as bad, not too mention expensive. I paid $ 9 for some crappy dry food. Ugh! It was dirty, and I could not even see the menu on the wall cause it was blocked by all the cups and the top of the fryer. There were 4 employees in the front and none of them were worth anything accept the girl at the register. Been a while since I visited a Wendy’s and it will certainly be the last time at this location. Just awful. & they expect $ 15 per hr. Oh, boy! What they need is their last paycheck and a kick in the ass out the door.

I was in here for maybe a total of 10 minutes or so — long enough to gather that: — the employees really couldn’t care less about their jobs and have nothing inside of them that stops them from mentioning that they don’t care in front of customers — when the place isn’t packed, it’s hard to tell where to stand in line — there’s no diaper changing table in the men’s or woman’s restroom Also, my fries were not hot and the new recipe is rather bland and lackluster compared to their old fries. Overall, my visit was a perfect reminder of why I try to avoid fast food places — but my sister was hungry and we had a little one who needed a fresh diaper. We were just hoping to quickly knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. Fail.

I eat here about once a week. … but that won’t keep me from saying that this is one clusterfuck of a Wendy’s. Every goddamned time I’m here there’s some confusion as to how the line should go and where people should wait. The way they have the line corral structure is downright infuriating. That’s why I get here at 11 before other people typically show up. but you know what. This doesn’t keep me from getting my Jr. Bacon cheeseburger add«Everything» and my 4 pc spicy chicken nuggets… all for just over $ 3. I’ll put up with a lot for that.

Staff is very rude to each other and off duty staff is distracting to the team on the clock. Everyone is very distracted and all over the place. It’s fast good though so it is what it is.

I was once a cashier at a fast food restaurant so I understand it’s not always an enjoyable job. Regardless of how your day is going you smile and do your best to give the customer the best service possible. I did not receive that today. The cashier was unapologetic in messing up my order. I received stale fries and my burger was also stale. I do not see myself returning to this store for a long time.

If there’s ever a sign of overpopulation… this Wendy’s is it. I stopped by around 1pm after failing miserably to find a Chinese food joint I had my eyes on. This place was packed beyond belief with only standing room. The workers couldn’t even wipe down the tables with how busy they were which is why the condiment counter was a mess. Luckily when I got there the line was thinning out due to the two cashiers somehow breezing through people even with a trainee at the register. What I thought would be a 15 minute wait turned into only a few minutes. I noticed they had a chicken Gouda sandwich which piqued my interest so I ordered the combo. When they took my order there were about 8 people ahead of me, but got my order out first which was great so I quickly dashed outside to escape the lunch hour madness. You could tell they were doing the best they could… it was like you were watching the game of thrones invasion scene, with Tyrion being played by the nice girl who took it upon herself to fill drink orders. The food itself looked fantastic especially the sandwich. Wendy’s has been on a tear lately it seems by trying to make every burger actually look like the«burger art» advertisements. The added bonus is you don’t feel like crap like after eating McDonald’s. Taste wise it was above average, didn’t really taste the Gouda though. There were 2 different sauces on it that clashed with each other. The fries were great though. Overall, the place itself is a mess(at least during lunch hours), food is good but not great, service is fast & friendly(although being handsome and having personality definitely helps me *wink*.)

This Wendy’s is by far the best I have ever been to and I love Wendy’s. The food was excellent, and actually looked like the pictures above the counter. All 3 of my sandwiches looked and tasted amazing. Big even better than the quality and look of the food was the service. I was there at 11:00am on Tuesday 7−8−14 and the entire staff was extremely friendly and seemed well trained and managed. The cashier took my order by memory before she got back to the register and everyone was extremely smiley! Bravo, Wendy’s on Clark, bravo.

Any Wendys with 4 lines is worth 5 stars in my book. The trainee rocking the register charged me for an extra Frosty, but the corrected the problem promptly and offered me the extra«since it was already made» so there was no bad blood for me. They have never let me down.

Things I love at Wendy’s: Frosty & a decent spicy chicken sandwich. This place is a hole. I’ve been to plenty of Wendy’s throughout my life and this location is the bottom of the barrel. The food here sucks. It’s all relative, I think, and most often just tolerate it, but in here… here the food is way worse than any other Wendy’s. The sandwich I got looked like someone stepped on it. Lots of people come in to pan-handle. It’s annoying to sit, having lunch and turn someone down their amateur rap CD. As for the staff, all of the underlings haven’t been trained in customer service… I’m telling you, if there was a Chick-Fil-A within even 2 blocks this Wendy’s would go out of business. P.S. I hear fast food workers went on strike recently. Hah. You want $ 15 an hour for what you do? You’ve gotta be joking. I’ve worked minimum wage jobs growing up(some of the worst) and let’s be real, here… TL;DR Sad, sad food. Decent frosty. Beggars & pan-handling inside. Extremely busy and packed. Wasted staff.

Although Wendy’s is a bit of a hike from my office, sometimes the need for a frosty and spicy chicken nuggets outweigh the trek. Service is always fast despite the lunch hour rush.

Well I have to say as far as a restaurant goes I would say this Wendys is INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, LOSSFORWORDS. of the MOST disgusting eating experiences I have ever had in my entire life. I have had a few weird experiences with food before but this place takes the cake. I wrote Wendys(of course never heard back) to let them know my experience and contacted this location and got nothing but run around and not even an apology. Honestly I have gotten food here before and its always been pretty mediocre(so its my fault for returning I suppose) but its on the way to the music venue that my gf works at so its convenient. So I got a double cheeseburger(not the dollar one) meal and brought it home. I was really hungry and just wanted something before bed. So I ate about half of it and on the last bite the bite did not want to leave the burger. To my dismay it was being held together a thick long black hair! To make matters worse it was not that the hair was dropped on the thing by accident. ITWASACTUALLYCOILEDINSIDEOFTHEBURGER! Idk if one of the employees pushed it in or if the plant that processed it had it in there. It was terrible. I felt sick the rest of the night and the thought of a hamburger for quite awhile made me ill. Needless to say I haven’t heard sh1t back from Wendy’s. I had a crappy experience at Mcdonalds along time ago and they made it right and I managed to forgive them and still once in awhile eat there. Thanks for the scarring experience, I guess you and that idiot redhead can go screw yourself.

Yes, sadly enough I used to totally be able to put up with the roaches and the homeless people panhandling inside, because this location used to be so friendly. They knew how to get through a lunch line with a smile and the food was always good. I went there about a month ago, after about a four month absence and clearly something was wrong. They must have lost a long time manager and replaced him/her with a younger one or a more incompetent one because it was just a total shitshow and a complete joke. 1) While waiting in a line that wasn’t moving three young, obnoxious, bitchy employees loudly returned from a trip to McDonalds(with McDolands bags in hand), in full Wendy’s regalia. That’s just unprofessional. Who sends their people on break at 11:45? Who says, «it’s totally cool to bring McDonalds back?» 2) The line literally didn’t move for 10 minutes, at which point I was watching countless people come in, look at the line, and leave the restaurant 3) Things started moving slowly once the three young women I mentioned above slotted back in. This caused things to move at a snails pace with pretty much 100% of the orders being screwed up in some way. 4) As I’m writing this, I feel bad for talking shit about a Wendy’s. It seems like a low blow. 5) Once I finally got the food it was a 4⁄10 on the Wendy’s scale 6) The place was 10 years too old 7 years ago 7) More roaches and even more homeless people. I really miss the lady who had the skin disease that used to take your tray(that’s not a joke). Will I be back, sure. But, know that this place is a shithole, almost hilariously.

I went there because I needed something fast and I had to get back to my desk. However… the lines were long and inefficiently managed, though it only took about 5 mins. I waited 10 mins to get my very simple order(potato & salad). People waiting for their orders were all mixed in with the people waiting to order. The cashier is hustling(why I gave an extra star) but making lots of errors(like 1 per order) while the food prep staff is moving at ¼ of her speed. They could clean every once in a while too. The place is rather seedy so I didn’t want to risk the downstairs seating area. I wish the streetwise lady would GET wise and get a job there. She’s there every freaking day! I bet she’d hustle faster than that prep crew!

Let’s just put it this way: Dave Thomas is rolling in his grave right now. If he knew the kind of crap they churn out at this particular Wendy’s, he’d probably have a heart attack and die. Yikes. It wasn’t so bad the last time I was there, but since then, everything has gone up in price and down in quality. $ 5.09 for ONE chicken sandwich? Wow. This is fast food, and not even good fast food at that. I love Wendy’s food in general, but this particular location has gone down the tube, so to speak. The sandwich was awful. Let’s ignore the fact that the incompetent worker behind the counter first thought I said ‘crispy’(which, by the way, doesn’t sound anything like ‘grilled’). And the fact that she thought I also said two of them, and how she ignored that I said I wanted the sauce on the side. What I got and what I’d asked for were not the same thing. I just wanted my sauce on the side because too much of it flares up my IBS, so I needed to control what went on it. Now, she did do that, technically. She also thought I’d said ‘plain,’ so I was given a chicken sandwich by itself-no lettuce, no tomato. I hate tomatoes, so that was fine, but I wanted the lettuce. I then had to ask someone else for sauce because she missed the fact that I’d asked for it on the side. My sandwich was AWFUL. It wasn’t even worth $ 2.50, let alone a little more than $ 5. I can’t believe what has happened to this location. Yikes. I put some sauce on it and ate about half before I told my husband I couldn’t eat any more of it. Felt really bad because he’d spent a good amount on it, but I just couldn’t do it. Yuck. It was also pretty apparent that whomever had filled the entire pop machine was incompetent as well-both the HI-C we first ordered and the coke we ordered to replace it with(which we weren’t charged for, thankfully) were seriously off. The coke was just nasty. We gave up at that point and just threw it away. Oh well. I’ll certainly never visit this location again. I’d also like to know why there are always so many people behind the counter. There’s no drive through, so what on earth are they all doing back there? Wendy’s, get a clue and fire the incompetent members of your staff. Then train the ones you keep to do a better job-you certainly don’t need that many people just standing around back there.
