Awesome awesome awesome docs and staff. The place is brand spanking new and they have a really a nice family touch and offer the latest and greatest in terms of technology.
I have met both docs but have more experience with Dr. Steven Soong. He’s a knowledgeable doc and I felt very comfortable with the entire experience. The frames are high end and nicely displayed. I like how their system is electronic and online. I didn’t have to fill out a crap ton of paperwork at the office I was able to do it online and so when I arrived it was a easy-​breezy check in process and onward to see the docs.
If you are looking for a cutting edge optometrist, you’ve found your way.

My husband and I live in Pasadena and drove out to Chino to see Dr. Steve Soong for our eye exams. He is really thorough, attentive and really examines your lifestyle for your vision needs. He’s also really kind and easy going! I felt immediately comfortable and he really just cares about the health of your eyes. Highly recommended and will definitely be coming back! Go now because there’s also great grand opening deals!

Dr. Soong is the best! I had my annual checkup here and he was super professional and knowledgable. The whole examination went smoothly and I’ll definitely be making him my new optometrist. They have a good selection of frames to choose from and I love how this place is so modern and clean. Bright Vision? Right decision!!!

Great selection of frames! Not the cheapy ones that make you look like a minion. They have Kate Spade, Tom Ford, Ray-​Bans, Prada, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, to name a few. You will like how you look and feel like you’re shopping at the mall.
Beautiful modern office that is warm and inviting. State of the art equipment. They have nifty new technology so they can get you in and out quickly without hurting your eyeballs, or dignity.
KID FRIENDLY. If you have kids, you must take them here! They have a play area with cute wall decals and lots of adorable specs (even Ray-​Bans!) just for kids. It will keep your kiddos busy or help them feel comfortable getting their eyes checked for the first time.
THE BEST DOCTORS. I used to feel like a visit to the optometrist is time-​consuming and a waste of time. But these doctors changed my mind. They are knowledgeable, efficient, and thorough, and will catch anything that your average optometrist might miss. Since I only need to do it once a year, why not come to professionals who can do it right the first time so I can leave with a peace of mind?! That to me, is MONEY WELL SPENT. I even brought my dad and grandma here to get their eyes examined and they all said it was the best experience. And these people are hard to please (my family, not the doctors).
Dr. Sophie Hsu and Dr. Steven Soong are both bilingual (fluent in Chinese Mandarin) and I love that they are super friendly and treat you like friends. You can ask 21 questions, like my grandma did, and they will answer each time with patience and professionalism.
On second thought… Don’t go there! So I can see them whenever I want!

Best optometrist in town! Dr. Soong is extremely professional and makes you feel comfortable. I got my prescription updated for my contacts and I was in and out within 20 minutes. He doesn’t pressure you to buy anything and will only recommend products that you need. Don’t let that baby face fool you, he is very knowledgeable and can answer all the questions you have during your visit. The interior of this place is modern, clean, and BRIGHT. There’s also a kids play area so don’t worry about getting a babysitter if you need to get your eyes checked. Heck, bring your entire family and extended family to this place and make them check their eyes too! Will recommend Dr. Soong to anyone near or far!

Have been to many optometrist in my life. Heck, one of our close family friends is an optometrist but even though they give me really good pricing I will not be going back because I found Bright Vision.

I highly value my time and so did the folks at Bright Vision. They made sure my experience was pleasant, informative, efficient, and treated me with respect. So HAPPY to have found these guys.
Enter from Peyton Drive. They’re located in the 99 Ranch plaza off to the side which I like because you AREN’T inundated by TONS of Asians when coming here. Don’t get me wrong, I’m Asian myself but don’t want to feel like I’m in Chinatown every time I get my eyes checked out.

So I’ve always operated under the Unilocal philosophy of limiting my reviews to either spectacular experiences or truly horrendous and offensive ones. I’m so glad to say that my visit to Bright Vision Optometry was of the former. In fact, the experience was so nice and pleasant that it was catapulted to the front of the backlog of reviews I have been meaning to write this new year.
I was lucky enough to get an appointment in December 2015 after desperately needing new glasses for several months due to my vision getting worse. I was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist and signed in right away. I saw Dr. Sophie Hsu and she is really the best optometrist I’ve ever had. All my previous eye exams were very tedious and impersonal. Dr. Hsu was totally the opposite! She really goes the extra mile to make sure her patients are comfortable and taken care of and you can tell she really cares about her patients. In fact, Dr. Hsu conducted several tests during my exam that I’ve never had done before. She explained that she does extra tests to ensure patients are not over corrected on their prescriptions. It just goes to show that she takes that extra step to make sure everything is exactly right. I saw Dr. Steven Soong briefly as well when he came in to help calibrate a machine. He was very helpful and knowledgable especially when it came to answering all my questions about why my eyesight was getting worse.
I also had a great time picking out my new frames. They have all the great brands such as Ferragamo, Marc Jacobs, Ray Ban, Kate Spade, Prada, and even some European brands that are so chic and cool. The entire staff at Bright Vision were all so helpful but not pushy at all. Their optician, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was especially great. He has a keen sense of what works for each person and picked out some great options for me. I ended up purchasing a pair he recommended and they even had all the extras available to make the glasses the best possible fit for me. He even managed to find a fabulous pair of sunglasses for me which fit so well.
Overall, I had a really great experience at Bright Vision Optometry. My new glasses look and feel great and I’m so excited to finally be able to see clearly again.

Having worn glasses since I was 6 and contacts not much later, I have had my share of optometry visits and eye-​related issues. However, I know I am in good hands with the doctors at Bright Vision Optometry.
–DOCTORS– Knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. Highly recommend! Dr. Steven Soong has checked my eyes a few times before, and he is friendly and extremely diligent.
In the past, he dilated my eyes and found old «holes» in the back of my eyes, WHICH MY PREVIOUS OPTOMETRIST HAD MISSED! He patiently answered my endless questions about these «holes» and explained everything in layman’s terms before referring me to a retina specialist. I was scared, but I knew I was in good hands. I have been going to him since!
SO, when I learned that he and Dr. Hsu were opening their own practice, I KNEW that the extra 30-​minute drive for an exam and for their expertise would be worth it.
For this most recent visit, I needed new glasses and contacts. Dr. Soong took my lifestyle into account (10-​hour workdays in front of a computer) and updated my prescription to help reduce the stress on my eyes. He took the time to introduce new contact lenses on the market and did not push any of the brands on me.
–OFFICE– The office is clean, bright, and modern; I love all the subtle touches of orange! You can tell by looking at the space that the doctors really care about their practice. They are conveniently located in the 99 Ranch plaza, in the side building. There’s also a kids’ section in the back with toys and kids’ frames.
–EQUIPMENT/​EXAM– They use a non-​invasive machine to measure your eye pressure; no more dreaded eye puff test! Equipment are all clean and new.
–FRAMES/​STAFF SERVICE– The frames are trendy and modern, and there’s something for the entire family. The staff is helpful and unlocked all the frames I wanted to see with a smile. They didn’t carry the frames I liked in a tortoise design, but were able to order them for me. Plus, I was able to add extra features to my lenses (blutech, anti-​glare, and thinner lenses for my high prescription). There’s even a wide selection of «Universal Fit» frames (i.e. Asian fit) for those who need a snugger fit on the nose.
You only have one set of eyes to last you for your entire life so you should go to the best. I highly recommend getting your eyes checked here!

You don’t want to have bad eye, right? Yeah, neither do I. I came in for their grand opening and got my eye checked. It was easy and pretty much effortless.
I didn’t know whether or not Bright Vision Optometry would accept my insurance, but they literally found in 60 seconds. SEAMLESS. I also found out my insurance covered $ 130, and after already LASIK not needing glasses or contact lenses, DADDY’S GETTING SOME NEW SUNGLASSES! LOL!
I saw Dr. Steven Soong, who looks pretty young, but he really knew what he was talking about. I told him after getting LASIK my eyes get pretty dry when I woke up in the morning. He recommended this overnight ointment that worked the first night!
This place is brand spanking new, so you can expect all new equipment and tons of different frames to choose from. My experience was awesome, and I’m not only coming back for sure but I’m going to recommend all my friends and family.
