Easily one of our favorite restaurants in Chino Hills. The produce is always fresh and the sauces are bursting with flavor without being heavy or overly sweet. Boyfriend and I can’t seem to stray from the below 3 dishes. We go so frequently that It’s sort of a joke now. A-vegetable(garlic) Mixed vegetable Spicy tofu I would order the veg dumplings if I room. We once ordered the spicy eggplant and noodles. Delicious! But we always go back to our fav 3 cuz we’re trying to work on our fitness and it sounds healthier. Btw, my boyfriend is not vegetarian! If you bring cash you get complimentary pork dumplings. Restaurant has a comfortable feel and everyone is very kind. Feels like home

Wow amazing food. When you want to eat healthy food and in the mood for dumplings then this is the place to go. The food is amazing and one of the best dumpling I have had in a while. The service is good — they don’t speak English well but we manage. Prices are reasonable. The soup is amazing especially the bean curd soup and hot and sour soup. Will definitely continue to keep coming back to this place

HANDSDOWN my favorite dumpling spot in the IE! Get the juicy pork steamed dumplings!!! They are seriously SO juicy. I’ve tried their dumplings pan fried also, and they were good that way but steamed definitely tasted a lot juicier. Also, their Kung Pao chicken is delicious! The sauce in it is really thick and flavorful. Lots of peanuts and onions! So if you don’t like onions I would stay away. Tip: If you spend $ 20 you get an order of juicy pork dumplings for free! :) *cash only for this offer*

Love this place! Every time I come here I have a hard time picking something because everything is so delicious :-). I always get jasmine tea and its so tasty, I love the tea pot. So far it hasn’t failed, every time I bring someone here they’re very impressed with the food. I wish I could give them 5 stars, but unfortunately the service is always slow. I have to look for the waiter to assist, and I’ve found them chit chatting or on their phone. This is disappointing service, I wish they took more pride in their service. But the food is so amazing I can’t stop returning for more.

First time here and walking in you may decide to turn around and walk out. Don’t be put off by the décor of the interior, it’s about the food. Taste and flavors evince authenticity and both the noodles and dumplings are delicious. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. I’ll support this local establishment.

This is by far my favorite Chinese food place. Their dumplings and noodles are amazing. I always get the Shanghai style fried noodles, pan fried dumplings, and juicy pork steam dumplings. I recommend this whole in the wall place to everybody.

Interior isn’t appealing. We walked in and it seemed like a maze. It wasn’t busy so we got seated right away. So we ordered the pork and shrimp siomai, pork buns, and shrimp har gow, beef with green onions, and vegetables fried rice. It was alot for 2 people but we wanted to try as many as possible. Honestly, I was starving and any food that I would’ve put in my mouth probably have been the best food but everything was mediocre. Service was okay. Food was okay. I don’t think I’ll come back.

A friend who lived close by recommended the area. We went on a late Friday afternoon and it was pleasant. We ordered xiao long bao, bok choy(garlic style), fish filet with tofu, and beef cumin. Because we were paying with cash, they had a promotion to give us an extra order of xiao long bao! The xiao long bao was decent — they also offered the ginger + soy sauce + vinegar combo and they were juicy! The bok choy was fresh enough(unlike some places where it’s bitter…) and the fish/tofu dish wasn’t bad. We were so full by this time we didn’t really get to eat the beef cumin but it smelled pretty good! We got some to go boxes for everything else ~

I love their juicy pork dumplings, fried fish fillet w/chili, and vegetable noodle. This place has great customer service and that’s what i really look for in a restaurant besides the food. I prefer this more than Mins dumpling. I come here often with my bf since din tai fung is far away from us lol

Worst experience ever!!! Been going here for a while… went again today, the great deal they have always offered was if you order $ 20 worth of food you get an order of complimentary pork dumplings(Hence the name of the restaurant 1+1 Dumpling)…As of three days ago according to the waiter, now you have to pay with CASH to get the free order of dumplings. Seriously??? Don’t get me wrong, I am not cheap by any means… we always order at lest double the requirement. In addition to that, in the middle of our meal, a back up generator went off… WTF??? It was so loud our table was shaking… when we asked what was going on, none of the waiters had an explanation, not even an apology for the inconvenience. Oh did I mention they got out entire order wrong??? Ugh… so disappointed!!! Will not be returning… what a shame!!!

So me and my GF have been coming to this location for a really long time, today they said the only way to get an extra dumpling is to pay via cash. Keep in mind we have been coming here for years, to change something like this so quick is very annoying. Especially to loyal customers, they should just change the name to one + one dumpling if you have cash. Great food but found this very peculiar to change there policy.

Pretty Authentic Chinese restaurant. I went for the dumplings and it was very tasty. The restaurant was pretty small and only one employee really spoke english, but the steamed dumplings were spot on. I trued 4 different dumplings and each was better than the next. The only thing I will say is the employees kept staring at us when we ate so it was a little uncomfortable and quite frankly they may have been talking shot about us but what the hell, the food was good. We also had a pot of green tea. It was a perfect Sunday evening meal and the best part… My bill was only 24 bucks! If you like dumplings, you’ll like this place.

The first time going they begged for a tip which is unprofessional. The second time going they offer a free dumpling, however it can only be pork, and when I asked for a vegetable dumpling they said no. Doesn’t make sense to give free meat which is more expensive than vegetables and to leave your customer dissatisfied.

Always a favorite of mine, dumplings warm little pillows of deliciousness. Some better then others, like Din Tai Fung has the best so far that I’ve eaten. One Plus One is an average dumpling house. The crab and pork dumplings filled with lava hot soup are good, just not great. Its all about the thickness of the skin. All of the dumplings that where steamed seemed a little thick skinned for my taste. I like a delicate skin thin and delicious. The other dishes where average, beef noddle soup, chiunese broccoli and a noddle dish all decent but not great.

So sad to come back and have a terrible experience. The server was rude. We ordered food with no onions and it came back full of them. My husband is allergic to them. I regret the previous review. The food wasn’t great and we weren’t treated nicely. I guess they aren’t consistently good sorry to say.

This place is great!!! We told the server this was our first time here and he gave us free juicy pork dumplings and rice on top of our order. Definitely try out the stir fried option. It’s delicious! The beef with broccoli is also another must have! Great food, excellent service. We’ll be coming back for sure!

I have become a pretty big fan of this place when I need a dumpling fix and can’t make it out to Ding Tai Fung. The prices are very reasonable and you can get a meal for 3 – 4 for around $ 25 before tip. The juicy pork dumplings are tasty, just don’t expect it to be the same as Ding Tai Fung. The combination fried rice and shredded pork with special sauce came in pretty large portions and taste really good together. The service is pretty fast but I haven’t been here when its busy, only when there are a few tables being served. But overall good deal for the food you get — be sure to order over $ 20 to get that free juicy pork dumping.

My family loved this place ’till last night. Came in and got seated immediately. The restaurant was not packed yet we couldn’t get the waiter(s) to take our order. Typical of all Chinese restaurants, food is good, priced right but quality of service is deficient(last night was non-existent). Many would say, this is not unusual for a chinese establishment. As long as the food is good and cheap, people will come back. Who wouldn’t, right? Not my family. NEVERAGAIN!!!

I’m honestly so bothered by this food service that I’ve never encountered such ridiculous audacious attitude from a server. The food was prepared well, even though our 4 person party ordered 3 rice bowls and never received them, even after consistently asking the MANAGER to take our food to us. We finished the night not TOO bad. But what completely sealed this fantastically well crafted one star review(which, in my opinion doesn’t deserve even this bare minimum score) was when we walked out the front door. One of the servers, who by the way didn’t even serve us, greeted us with a «see you next week» but as we walked out, he had this sudden NEED to preach to us about how we didn’t give them a tip.(And we did leave tip, because we thought they weren’t so bad) and said«no more see you next week goodbye» and slammed the door. NEVEREATINGHEREAGAIN

3.5 rounded up to 4. Meat texture, skin thickness, amount of soup, everything about the xiao long bao was right… Except that they were sweet! ;_; This would have become my go-to SoCal XLB place if not for this one fatal flaw. Other than the sweetness issue, they were textbook(non-Joe’s-Shanghai-style) XLB, perfect for a DTF-hype hater like me. :D The other issue I had was their black vinegar tasted odd to me, with a fruity note I was not expecting, almost like apple cider vinegar. When I go somewhere and find the XLB to be sweet, I usually douse them heavily with black vinegar to mask the sweetness of the XLB, but here this did not help as much as I would like due to the fruitiness of the vinegar. The vinegar didn’t have as sweet a nose as ACV, but the slight fruit smell made my brain parse the vinegar as slightly sweet even though it didn’t taste sweet. Handmade noodles were nice and thick, but disappointingly started to lose their chewiness in the soup within seconds, compared to other places where the noodles hold their«Q» for at least several minutes. The flavor profile of the soup was not what I was expecting, not spicy, and with a different combination of spices than expected(but still good). Meat was dry but most pieces had a bit of tendon that was perfectly soft and unctuous. The free XLB offer for orders over $ 20 is nice, but a lot of these places don’t offer it to you if you don’t specifically ask for it, so I was surprised when they automatically said«And you ordered over $ 20 so you get a free order of juicy pork dumplings» after we placed our order. San jin bao were also too sweet and had hardly any meat in it. This also got the vinegar bath treatment. Also the presentation of these bao were weird, with sesame seeds and chopped chives all over instead of just on the top. Ding’s Garden definitely remains my go-to for this item. Wish this place had Shanghai-style rice cakes…

Went with the family first timers. Place is small but clean. Everyone that worked there were very friendly and made sure we got taken care of. We ordered chicken steamed dumplings, and an order of the pan fried dumpling… Both were the Bomb! Also got an order of the spicy chicken which I asked to make it as spicy as they can. It wasn’t that spicy to be but the flavor was really good, chicken was nice and crisp. Also ordered a plate of noodles with Shanghai sauce which is on the spicy side also. We enjoyed every bite of every piece of food we had. My husbands the picky person but he loved everything and we will definitely be coming back!!! You guys won us easily!!!

Purchase over $ 20 of worth of food, and you get an order of juicy pork dumplings free! We absolutely loved the juicy pork dumplings. We also got the juicy crab and pork dumplings. The original pork dumplings were better. I dare say that these dumplings were just as good as the ones from Ding Tai Fung. We also got the cumin lamb and house noodles. Both dishes were very good. The noodles were hand made which were unique. Free hot tea. Located in a small strip mall off the 71 freeway. Parking was not a problem. Service was good, place was clean. My husband and I will definitely be back… probably will just order a whole bunch of dumplings next time.

I was craving dumplings, and decided to have lunch here with a friend. We came when the restaurant barely opened, and the place wasn’t too packed. We both ordered a large set of dumplings(soup and fried pork) along with a plate of fried chicken to share. The chicken was delicious! What was slightly disappointing were the soup dumplings. To me, they felt really dry, and didn’t have much soup in them. Next time I come(which is a possibility), I hope the soup dumplings are comparable to other locations I have been too. The menu dishes I look forward to.

I hope this is the same One Plus One Dumpling House that was located in West Covina. I miss that place. My friend and I stopped by after seeing this place on Unilocal. We came in around 2pm and ordered the fried noodles, one order of xiao long bao, one order of some friend dumpling, and onion pancakes. After taking down our order, the guy said we ordered enough to be awarded another order of xiao long bao! The first thought in my head was«Oh Crap! That’s gonna be alot of food!» It turned out it was! I had better XLBs, but this hits the spot. The noodles were very delicious. You can tell that it was handmade. The sever was very polite too. We didn’t know that lunch ends at three, but he let us stay for a little longer. So happy I was able to eat One Plus One again.

If there is negative star I can give, I would give negative 5. I ordered Togo and was told that it would take about 20 minutes. I guess one hour wait is definitely«your order should be ready very soon». What’s really interesting is the waiter did not inform me about what happened to my order. Isn’t it normal to inform the customer why my orders are being delayed? I confronted him when he said my order was ready after 1 hour wait regarding the wait time. DUDE I did not make a phone call for to go if I had hours to just fly by. I was late for work. I could’ve studied during that time. I could’ve done better things rather than sitting in the waiting room for an hour. Well that’s one thing. I regularly go to this place. And, yesterday was the first time that I received my orders a little cold. I had pan fried dumpling and they were hard to eat. The waiter today shouldn’t be working. Not only was he rude and manipulative, he was trying to convince his customers that it is their fault for not receiving the items early. Get lost dude

I honestly don’t remember any given point in my life where I actually got so mad dining anywhere. Considering that I grew up in Asian where service is nonexistent, this is quite a compliment to One Plus One. The evening started with just this awkwardness… Me and my wife were greeted and led to our table with our 3 year old daughter. So we told one of the waiters we need a high chair. He looked at us and shrugged, turned around and walked away. Oh great, what is this? I speak all 3 languages that you possibly speak and you can’t tell me whether you ran out? or your restaurant simply doesn’t have high chairs? or you just don’t want to give me one? I looked around me and saw the table across with 2 kids at the booth and no high chairs. Oh well, I thought to myself, and we seated without a high chair anyway. Since Facebook is asking about Ambience, I have to say the sound level here is equivalent to sitting next to a construction site ’cause the table behind us are talking as loud as you would in a night club, except it’s not a club here. So to start the evening it’s not exactly what I would call pleasant already. But hey I’m here to eat, I told myself. I can look past all that. It’s still fine by my very low standards… Except, it keep getting lower from here on. So I placed my order — fried rice, noodle soup, hot & sour soup, free dumplings, all good and safe right? After about 20 minutes trying to contain our little one, we’re starving, and we got our soup… then we almost finished our soup, and we got nothing to eat. I looked around us and everyone’s still waiting for their food to slowly make their way out of the kitchen. I’m still content… it’s alright. I can wait a little bit. Then along came our dumpling, with no ginger. If you’re not familiar with XLB, you eat with ginger and vinegar. It’s like having ketchup with your fries, or tartar sauce with your fried fish. Alright… it’s fine, I ordered it for my daughter anyway, I can look past this. So we proceeded to feeding our daughter, who eats slowly by the way. Time goes on, she’s full, and we still got no food. There’s still some dumplings left and oh I saw this waiter walking over with ginger. Great, I thought, he finally remembers, except he walks past us and gives it to the patrons at the back of the restaurant. He walks by again, and we looked at each other, so I confirmed that he obviously forgot… so I waved him down, ginger I said in his language. He said ok. Then he walked by about 3 other times, and I still got no ginger. My dumplings are now cold and hard, and I got no ginger. I’m now glaring at him basically every time he walks by, and OH suddenly he remembers he’s supposed to do something for me. Then he goes on and grab a to go box and a plastic bag. DUDEWHATTHEHECK??? I’m losing it at this point… I still haven’t gotten my FOOD and you’re giving me a to go box??? after like an hour sitting here? So we’re at a point where every person who sat down before us have left, full I must add. And we’re still sitting here hungry and now angry. So the waiter who took my order finally spotted me and my angry look, came over and asked how he could help me. «MYFOOD?» I said. Then he said oh and turned around and disappeared for the remaining of this experience. No he does not want to see me, really he’s either hiding in the kitchen or he’s cooking the food himself? I don’t know, but then the guy who gave me that shrug, forgot my ginger, almost got me a to go box before i got my food, and couldn’t even do 1 thing right brought me my food finally. How should I rate this restaurant? How about negative a BILLION stars? This place is tailored for the show — BOILINGPOINTS on MTV. If I were a contestant I should have won the challenge and earned some cash, but no I got nothing to take home except anger and food that I didn’t really want to eat that evening. I was already full at that point swallowing my rage. So what good is this place? Free dumplings if you spend more than $ 20, or if you’re training to go on some reality show to see how far it would take for you to boil over. Otherwise, seriously, go get yourself some fast food instead would be a smarter choice.

We ordered the sweet and spicy soup, an order of pork dumplings and shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp with garlic and spice, and finally a fried beef wrap. The beef wrap came out along with the soup fairly quickly. The soup was very delicious and of course piping hot, the beef wrap was cold and a disappointment. The shrimp came out hot but was dry with no type of sauce on top although still flavorful. Both dumpling dishes were good. Overall the experience was good with fast food and decent service. Also we received a free order of dumplings for spending over $ 20.

One Plus One had some good qualities but our visit this Saturday was as much a lesson in what not to get as what to order again. Their juicy pork and shrimp dumplings(xiao long bao) were pretty good but it was weird that we had two orders and one group was better tasting than the other. The other dumplings we got — shrimp shumai and pan fried pork and napa cabbage — did not have a very good consistency to them. Both felt like pâté in your mouth; very crumbly and overly ground up. The service here is also not so great. I think all three servers we dealt with were too shy and timid for this line of work. We were always waiting for water refills and there was a miscommunication that resulted in the two orders of juicy dumplings in the first place. I guess their thing is that you get free juicy dumplings with orders of $ 20 or more. After he took our order, the waiter said that they have this and he can give us juicy dumplings with our order for free. Come to find out, he added an extra order for free instead of making the original order free. Overall we came way out of our way craving dim sum but wouldn’t go out of our way to have dumplings here again. It seems that they used to have milk tea and boba, but it was crossed out on our menu. I guess we’ve been spoiled to want boba with dumplings thanks to Taiwan style dumpling shops and had we known that we probably would have stopped at Lee’s first!

Good food, decent service, and free juicy pork dumplings if you spend over $ 20! Juicy pork dumplings– Hot, juicy, and flavorful. They forgot our ginger though. Cold Cucumbers and garlic– The sweet garlic sauce seemed to be ladled over the cucumbers after plates, which was a little odd. They were pickled though in a vinegar solution. Overall, I liked it. Hot and Sour Soup– Not sure why the menu lists it as Spicy sour soup? Good flavor. House Special Tofu– I was expecting fried tofu with gravy on top from the picture, but it was sliced silky tofu with a giant egg omelette on top. It was good, but I probably won’t order again. Spicy beef– Not a fan. Dry, oily, and salty, but did have a good numbing flavor. Maybe I was expecting more of an Americanized version with gravy and veggies. For a Saturday night at 7:30pm, we had no wait for a table. Accepts card and plenty of parking in the lot.
